I recommend NOT going to Disneyland… the last time I went they took my granddaughters balloons away from them, who takes a balloon away from 2 and 4 year old children ?? They handled it badly and ruined the whole day for them. I still have one day left on each of 2 3 day passports that I bought in 1983, I intend to use them at disneyworld in the next year but I will never be going to Disney hell anymore. I just don’t drink the kool-aid anymore.

    1. Bon

      DW is just as bad

    2. Jake

I’m here now DW is a true sh..show. if you like cheap trinkets and overpriced merchandise, then go. Go, if you like long waits for a disappointing 30 second ride. And go if you like walking bast 20 gift shops and restaurants to just ride on carnival ride…the magic is your bank account disappeared.

    3. Marian

Why did they take the balloons from your girls?

    4. Esther

That might be due to the fact that balloons are not allowed upon entry. My family always dealt with that by simply bringing cute stick balloons and waiting until we were in the park to blow them up, which was allowed

    5. Kathleen they are going to do the same thing at Disney world, it’s the same company.
The main headquarters is in California and the use the same rules also in Orlando. It’s a safety rule you know.

I don’t understand why some people dress like sl.ut-me-suzy at a family oriented venue. I’ll never understand how anyone can find torn clothing appealing or wear skimpy see through hook.er looking clothing where their burning bush can be seen. Likewise for women having their breasts almost fully exposed and men with their pants half way down their butt cheeks. Classless.

    1. Jake

It’s 105 heat index today…..government tells us to where a mask for our neighbors and all hell breaks out. A multi billion dollar corporation tells you what to where and they comply….lol

    2. Steph

I agree, sadly our society has lost class

    3. Sean

I can’t explain how much I love this comment.

      Love, your local sl.ut-me-suzy.

    4. jen

I can’t understand how people thing that saying anything to anyone is completely acceptable yet the human body, which we all have, is something to be ashamed about.

  3. Steve

Maybe we need a new understanding about what degree of control a corporation exercising over people is too much.

    1. Thomas B

or maybe if you are on someone’s private property you follow their rules.

      1. Steve

It isn’t private property, it is a public venue people pay money to enter.

        1. Dilbert

It’s a public venue but it’s still private property. It’s open to the public but it’s privately owned. You tell me what government entity owns any Disney park. Grocery stores, restaurants, movie theatres, and even coffeee shops all have dress codes. Maybe not as strict as Disney but they still won’t let you in topless. Yep, that’s a dress code. No shirt, no shoes, no service.

          1. Steve

Sorry, I had enough corporate simping from neocon RINOs during the plandemic. Not interested in your spiel.

Corporations have far too much power in our society. I don’t agree with this generation about much, but I am fully on board here. There is no legitimate reason for a business to be restricting people’s dress. If it is decent to walk down the street, it is good enough for your business. End of story. Your property rights end where my body and personal rights begin.

We as a society decided long ago that business owners do not have unlimited rights to deny service. When massive multinational conglomerates lose their hypothetical right to dictate how people dress, think, and behave, I will be cheering. Will you be crying, simp?

    2. Madison

      Steve… I agree with you 100 PERCENT…

      1. Stefanie

Disney has not been the magical place ever since Bob Chapek took over. It has been going down hill for years. I won’t waste my hard earned money there anymore!

    3. Bon

      DW is just as bad

    4. Jake

      Exactly

    5. Kelly Connerton

And there is a lot of people here who think its ok for Disney to dictate to the state of Florida how to run their schools. SO yup, seems like we do need to understand to what degree a corporation can dictate control.

  4. E=McSquared

Frankly Disney does a terrible job of regulating these “rules”. My family was subjected to women with the full bottom half of their rear hanging out of shorts at the parks (not a good look for anyone and can’t possibly be comfortable to walk around in the hot sun with your thighs rubbing together all day. Yes their wedgies were so high there was all kinds of obvious friction 🤢).
The water parks are even worse. Thong bikinis everywhere (how is this allowed with a bunch of butt high children running around?!) and one woman who intentionally kept letting her bikini top “slip” off.
Another, wearing a thong, who kept straight up bending over to touch her toes for no apparent reason – I ended up yelling at her to stop being disgusting because she was making my kids uncomfortable.
It’s ridiculous what some people will do for attention and you seriously have to be damaged to do this stuff at a family park.
Disney SHOULD be better about prohibiting this kind of display and charge people with indecent exposure around children.

    1. The Future

Wow, how much of a prude are you to hang on to decades old archaic notions. Bodies aren’t shameful and if you think they are, tell the big man upstairs that he messed up. The world is changing Karen, get on board or get out.

  5. Chris

If you’re gonna be a Karen, be a Karen in Daisy Dukes.

  6. Lauren

Stop dressing like a stripper at a family theme park. Where are these people’s parents? Clearly not in their lives showing them how to respect themselves. Yikes.

    1. Steph

Exactly. It is sad how much class has been lost in our society. It’s almost as if establishments can’t allow class anymore. People complain they can’t show their butts and breasts at a family establishment.. people are sick

    3. Helicopter Parent

Give it a rest. It’s nothing your precious helicoptered children wouldn’t see at the beach.

  7. alliekat9090

I agree with dressing like a decent human being but you would roast to death in some those star wars getup at DW.

  8. Rosa

Honestly, my opinion is that society in general is OUT OF CONTROL, and a place like DW is perfect to determine some dressing codes!!!.. If DW can’t do it , nobody can!!!…its focus is on families and of course , children..why not ?…some rules will do us good ..

      1. Daisy

Keep repeating yourself no one is listening

  9. Esther

Yes, thank you! People are always so silly about the dress code, but even if it’s open to the public it is still private property and has the right to make and keep it’s rules

  10. Mindyerownbusinessmickey

Disney supports teaching young elementary school children items of a sexual nature against the wishes of their parents and has the unmitigated gall to then tell adults how they must dress so as not to offend others? Been there, worked there, spent boatloads of money there and won’t ever give another cent to the mouse machine.

  11. Mickeymouse3

If some bodacious hot mama chick wants to show off her ta-tas and hooha, who am I to say no?
Same goes for that skinny dude who wants to show everyone his sponge bob underbritches while wearing that skin tight tank tee.
I may not like it or agree with their choices, but I’ll be happy to post up pics so their grandmama can be proud of their grandkids public displays of what God gave them.
Who knows, maybe I’ll get enough hits and likes to make a buck or two.

I’m sure the service provided by Once Upon a Dream it’s fine for those who want to enhance their appearance so that they can post online – that’s not why I go to any Theme Park!

I’m not the Fashion Police, because there are those who push the “is this appropriate attire” limits …. those who “have dirty feet in flip-flops or sandals” … those who “don’t hide their excessive fat or muffin tops or beer bellies under a shirt” …. those who “are naturally busty and it’s nobody’s business about their anatomy” …. and you get the idea.

I just go to Theme Parks, my dress comfortable enough to get around a Theme Park, I have a good time at a Theme Park (I tune out everything that could be annoying – from these comments? I agree it’s private property so it’s their rules …. and I agree it’s kind of not fun to see how the quality of merchandise has gone down but the prices keep going up!)

  13. Ks

You have got to be kidding me. For the love of God just wear shorts and a t-shirt. This is so ridiculous and actually I wouldn’t even go to Disney anymore Walt is turning over in his grave

  14. Pop Escobed

Could we limit the yoga/lulu pants on the ladies, they’re very unflattering, let alone revealing.

I get it’s 100*f, at WDW, I live here. Some shorts goes a long way

  15. CJA

I don’t understand why anyone would hire a Disney dresser unless it’s just for fun and new ideas. If it’s to keep to the dress code, all I have to do is READ!

  16. Captain Meowzers

I will never be able to afford to take my girls on a trip to Disneyland so I don’t even care. I only read this article because I found it hard to believe anyone would pay a outfit planning company actual money.
