It’s good to know, that no matter how much money and power he has. He’ll never have another hair on top of his head. Genetics, can live without them, can’t fix them after the fact. 🙂
Just came back from Disney and Universal (Florida) from the week of July 24 – 30th. Here is briefly what I have to say. Before going I watched tons of videos hating on CEO Bob Chapek for how much damage he has done to Disney. Yes it was very crowded and did see some minor cutbacks like lack of walk around characters (now placed at meet and greets, probably due to the extreme heat) however the beauty of Disney has only increased in our eyes. We are now seeing new and creative areas popping up everywhere. EPCOT appears to be undergoing billions of $$ in renovations and restructuring. Both Companies and all of their parks were immaculate. All food. Admissions and goodies were expensive but after witnessing the colossal rides and new areas, can’t understand how they can do all the construction, upkeep and maintenance for less. You are virtually witnessing engineering miracles being born. Universal’s Volcano Bay was so gorgeous, we felt like we were in Hawaii for the day. Above all we had a beautiful week of family bonding and some moving moments. Shoot the lock off the wallet (if able) and do it.
The guy started at the worst time for a company to have to go through with covid ect, I agree that the things in the works at the moment we’re agreed before he took over but let’s see with D23 around the corner what he may bring to the table, you all moan about Genie + ect but attendance is still high, give the guy a break, at the end of the day some Disney freaks will always complain and whine…it’s all they ever do…
We have been to disney 16 times in 12 years. Chapek keeps raising prices at Disney ( he just keeps stuffing his pockets at our expense) yet people pay the price whether you go to the parks or.disney.cruise line.
Bottom line, he is Super Greedy and only cares about cash, Disney should and was once so much more. He has done the usual Corporate spill and make believe, but no one buys it or believes his lies.
It’s a business at the end of the day….it doesn’t just magically appear, although some Disney obsessed people probably think it does…don’t go if your going to moan…simple
I believe you are Chapek’s spokesperson and have about as much of clue as he does. All I can say is that he has been destroying the parks and the Disney Brand for many years now. When he took over as the head of the IP division was when this all started and he has been put into positions that have allowed him to accelerate this process. I have a question for you why is he talking on a competitor’s show to Disney? It appears that he may be working to destroy Disney for the competition. CNBC is is owned and operated by NBC which is part of the Universal conglomerate.
So much for grooming guidelines. Yeah they changed – they should not have. And if they had not gone to the dark side they would have no problem finding people to work for them.
Just wait until the 50th celebration is over and every take their vacations that we’re halted by the pandemic. LOL then we will truly see the damage Chapek and all the greed board members have done..they are erasing Walt slowly from things and completely changing the vision of Walt’s… Disney is truly becoming like any other theme park.
Chapek is destroying the Magic of Disney. Everything is now overpriced & overscheduled. Planning a trip to Disney is now more complex than D-Day (hyperbole)!! Been a vacation club member since 1992 & have seen the decline especially under this idiot’s control. I won’t waste my money on any of the parks. I will enjoy Old Key West (home resort), Disney Springs & other resorts.
You’ll go to Disney and be a DVC member just to stay in the resort’s….I don’t think so….and if you do your an idiot for spending your time and money just to stay in the hotel essentially
And after you’ve killed the parks, Bob….then what?
For anyone interested, there was a petition to get him out, a while back. I don’t know if it still exists or not, but if anyone is interested, you can just do a search for it.
I hope you understand there is a point i
of no return. Once my annual pass expires, I am done with Disney until there is a major course correction. I don’t expect that, so I expect I will be permanently done with Disney this year.
Florida has many better, cheaper parks than the garbage Disney is selling.
Bob does exactly what the board wants which is raise stockholder equity. Large multinationals care about stock holders not customers or employees. Unless that changes you will not see other changes in the future.
The feeling of powerlessness is real since we are literally living the gilded age 2.0, with no end in site.
Disney has been thousands of dollars for a trip to the parks for many years now, but you use to get value for your money now you get nothing. I have not been there for a vacation in quite a few years in fact it was back when Chapek was the head of the parks and I saw the destruction he was doing then. I have only been on site of WDW for work reasons not vacation reasons.
Well….I’m a Floridian born and raised. I was a cast member back many years ago and a long time passholder. I’ve seen the changes, and while some of it is very welcome and refreshing, there is more that’s not. Pricing people out, smaller portions, charging extra to stand in line just as long, being forced to spend your time planning your day at 7am for a possible chance of getting on a ride…..its just not what Disney was about. I’m well aware of how a business runs….and how it has to make its shareholders happy….but there is a line that has been crossed. And as far as Bob goes…..I am with the group that agrees he needs to go, especially when he decided that Disney needs to jump into the political aspect….that for me was the biggest mistake they could have made.
As for ZARA…..and all the comments you have to make on everyone’s opinion……feel free to comment on what I’ve said….its my opinion and I’m entitled too it. But as you bash those of us who feel the same…..you prove exactly what I’ve said. It’s comments and bashing that you are throwing that makes it seem the magic is leaving and has left already in some cases. So enjoy that Disney Utter you drinking from…..sooner or later you’ll get a nice big drink of the sour milk.
I agree that bob has tarnished what was all of our happy place. Disneys inception was to bring happiness and carefree time away from reality. That is no longer the case. We are not complaining, we are stating the obvious and expressing our discontent. Without input, nothing will ever change. Also, anyone feel his new look feels a bit like a disguise? He must be ridiculed everywhere he goes.
So he grew some facial hair. Bid deal. Changing one’s appearance still doesn’t change what’s within. He’s still the same asshat who needs to be gone. And don’t elevate D’amaro. He’s just as bad. But the Disney board will continue to push their agenda, regardless of who they have at the helm and that captain will still obey the president.
Walt once said, “Disney will always be changing” or something to that effect, but their recent changes seem to be in the opposite direction of what Walt would have wanted.

100% agree. Things have been on a downhill slide once he had any power and it’s just gotten worse.

The only grooming they do is of children.
