Here’s the thing. T’challa is as much Black Panther as Peter Parker is Spiderman. And we’ve had three Parkers of recent. The character lives forever. As much as Boseman portrayed T’challa very well, he isn’t the only one that can with due respect. We’ve had six Bonds, six movie Bruce Waynes (since Keaton), and three movie Clark Kents. So why should T’challa be different? As it is now, the jury is out on who portrayed these characters the best so why should we conclude that noone can portray BP like or better than Boseman? If that’s the case, Clark Kent should have been killed off after Christopher Reeve ‘cos nobody has even come close since his death. I’ve heard arguments that in the comics, the BP mantle was handed to Shuri. Granted, there are many iterations in comics these days and parallel universes but at least let the original character have his time. Tony Stark and Steve Rogers ran the course from Phase 1 to 3 with three movies each. Nobody will complain much at this stage if those characters took a bow. But T’challa barely just started and was an idol to many who took him as a positive male influence…especially in the black community. Not only Boseman but the character himself. As much as Boseman was perfect for the role, T’challa must go on. Just like Kent/Kal El went on without the iconic Christopher Reeve. These actors knew the characters they portrayed were beyond one man. They are decades of history and memories. T’challa was the first black superhero and now the icon is gone.

There’s no winning in this situation, dammed if they do dammed if they don’t. Tragically Boseman passed away and unfortunately Tchalla with him. Honestly don’t know what’s the right move, Boseman is Tchalla and to just replace him would seem a little disrespectful considering what it means to so many people. This doesn’t mean Black Panther is dead so I’m thinking that’s where their heads are at in regards to the IP. Their hearts/minds don’t want to just replace Tchalla but their pockets know Black Panther must go on. Spartacus lost its lead to cancer in between season 1 and 2. They filmed a season based on the gladiator school to give the actor time to fight his cancer, unfortunately he lost his battle and was replaced in the official season 2 of Spartacus. This did not have the same cultural impact as Black Panther so I can 100% understand the hesitation to simply recast Tchalla as these tragic things do happen. I don’t think I’d want another actor playing him. I think Tchalla should be Bosemans for at least a few generations, they can recast the role in 2040-2050.Then again my opinion means nothing so there’s that. RIP Boseman I throughly enjoyed your work and am saddened your not here to continue as I believed you could have had a Denzel type of career. (Hate to compare but that’s kind of what we humans do)

Rubbish. Comic books are the reason there is a MCU. And who read those comics boys cause of the that super hero image like you had with G I Joe’s. Girls had barbies and Cindy dolls, make up and tea sets.
Only people complaining about Shiri & Riri taking up the mantles are the ones that never was a comic book reader. Only way we’re going to see another male cast Black panther is either in a multiverse version. Iron heart was also a character to bring a version of iron man. Shiri and Riri’s respected character version neither of them last long
But why can’t there be Shuri and Tchalla both in the movies and shows. Maybe not this movie but the next show or movie. He could come back recasted. #recasttchalla #savetchalla
I swear most of the comments I’ve read were posted by 3 yr old. You listen to very little about what is being said and understand even less. First, any comparison you want to make about marvel and DC is out the window because 1 is not the other. Same goes for Spartacus. You dont even have those facts right. Marvel made the decision out of respect to boseman and his family not to recast the character. We should be thankful that we had the time with him in our lives that we had. As far as precedence goes, t’challa died in the comics and the mantle was passed. Period. And this bull how women cant possibly like mavel or star wars, since I talk with fans all the time, that’s a load. And war machine was here long before the black panther. Take a breath.
If that’s the case, then you have to be around 17 months old with your comment… and your 2nd sentence ABSOLUTELY applies to you!
So first, Marvel and DC CAN be compared. “1 not being the other” is obvious from the difference in names, but these are 2 comics companies that consistently and blatantly ripped off each other’s characters and ideas.
2nd, Marvel DID NOT make that decision out of respect for Chadwick Boseman and his family; they have stated NUMBEROUS times that they want what Chadwick would have wanted. T’Challa recast.
3rd, T’Challa DID die in the comics, HOWEVER, he was also resurrected and is the CURRENT holder of the mantle.
Lastly, War Machine debuted in January 1979. Black Panther? July 1966.
You were wrong on almost every point you made… smh
Pretty sure Leticia Wright as Shuri is going to be T’Challa’s replacement as Black Panther, it’s been reported so in news media almost since Chadwick Boseman’s untimely death. As for “Marvel Phase 4” or whatever it’s supposed to be, this mess is all over the place. There’s no organization or clear direction to the plots and storylines of any of the currently released media. It’s been hard to follow or get into the feel of the MCU universe like it was for the first 3 phases of it. Maybe it’s time to call it quits?
Who cares black panther is the most overrated marvel movie ever just simply because its an all black (except for one character) movie . Not because the writing was actually that good just because of that. Thats literally all it is because the writing was very predictable it was mediocre AT BEST
To be clear, this IS NOT an attack! I’m NOT trying to sensor you, but if you really feel this way, why bother reading this article and commenting? You ask, “who cares?” if you read anything in this article or watched the video attached, it’s quite clear A LOT of people care. In fact, they seem to care A LOT! This seems to mean something to them. If “BLACK PANTHER” means so little to you, then why are you even here?
Says the resident white dude who probably believes all black content is mediocre. Yet somehow the most terrible sh!t white people put out daily is magnificent. Lol.
You’re rac8st, calling someone a white dude. And the person never mentioned that they believe all black content is bad. I believe Johnny, there’s alot of paid Disney trolls.
I don’t understand it’s overated BC it’s an all black cast ? So if it was an all white cast it wouldn’t be overated ? The movie is called black Panther about Wanaka. How many white people did you expect to be casted in this movie ? Maybe your lack of multicultural education makes it difficult for you to watch, enjoy and understand how this movie was a huge step in Disney and Marvel trying to educate people about other cultures.
Wakanda is not real. I fail to see how Disney/Marvel are educating us on another culture if said culture involves a giant cloaking shield that hides the most technologically advanced country on the planet. I looked forward to BP and was hyped by all the praise being heaped upon it. Then I saw it and thought Meh! It’s my least favourite marvel movie after Darkworld. It was a push by Disney to say “hey look, we represent all people”. Shang Chi, for me personally, blew BP out of the water in all ways. But is still about pushing Disney’s inclusivity agenda. I have never understood the fear over recasting Boseman and can only assume it is fear of backlash from the black community and virtue signalling white people.
I think that super heroes are great for every culture to have a role model for little kids to grow up with. The reason why Chadwick Bozeman did so well with the T’Challa role is because he knew what kind of positive impact that character will have on Black culture. He did an amazing job and there is someone else out there that will respect that role as much as Bozeman did. We will always appreciate his contribution and it will be an honor to see someone be able to rise to that level of performance.
Shuri will take the mantle for a minute, not permanently. But people need to realize Black Panther IS a mantle! The same way Spiderman, Captain America and others are all mantles! Now the alter egos? Tchalla, Peter parker, and others can be different. Tchalla had a role when shuri was Bp! They really need to recast him
I will not boycott the movie because they did not recast. It needs to stand or fall on its own merits, which we won’t know until we see it. But it’s fine with me that they don’t recast. For some people it is definitely still too raw to see someone else in the part and it’s not like there are no more stories to tell without delving into the black panther ones. Most of the people I’ve talked to want it recast because they want to see Storm sex, which is really annoying to me.
It’s always some double-standard for black male heros in a society that demonizes and disrespects black males more than any other group. At least 3 different Peter Parker’s, 4-5 Bruce Wayne’s, 3-4 Clark Kent’s, established WHITE hero’s and never recast. But now Chadwick Boseman is the ONLY male who can play Black Panther. In a society that disrespects black men in general so badly, he’s now, somehow, an actor that is given a respect NO other white man has EVER been given, playing a major role? Not in Amerikkka. White Supremacy is pure evil. Now black male kids have no role models and they’re already twice at risk for suicide than white kids. This White Supremacist society has always hated the black male and white males in control of black stories follow the society they come from. They just needed some bull-$@£¥ excuse to pull this nonsense of making Black Panther female now and that’s No disrespect to the sisters.
I’m black and conservative, and it’s people like you that were raised by Liberal black parents to hate whites.
You probably hate Rippaverse cuz he’s black too. I have a comic collection. Wouldn’t be surprised if Disney hacks are posting here. Saw an ad hiring for mivie posting.
This is a stxb to the heart of feminism and that’s a good thing. Females constantly physically beating up 200lbs males is total phooey and it needs to be stopped. The real reason is these female starred movies are flopping. Males no longer want to pay their hard earned cash to see trash.
As a long time fan and comic book collector since 1975, I can tell you that this is a classic demonstration of white male fragility the way T’Challa is deliberately being eliminated when it was a no brainer to recast the role to Idris Elba or Djimon Hounsou who have already worked with The MCU. What is obvious is how they propped up Chris Evans by saving him from the Fantastic 4 dumpster fire to cast him as Captain America. This is what can be expected when white people are left with the decision to portray black people on screen. Just as hard for Stan Lee to diversify Marvel Comics free of racist tropes in the 70’s we are seeing the same mindset with the Only Straight Male Black lead character today.
Ain’t nobody hate marvel like marvel fans, honestly its an entertainment in and of itself to see the fans hate the franchises they claim to love, the amount of hate phase 4 is getting and yet the very people who are hating are the people still paying to see it so no lessons will be learnt, also its tragic as heck that boseman died but he didn’t own the character of tchalla they should recast him, I doubt boseman would want a character with decades of amazing tales to tell to die after 1 film just because he died.
Recasting happens all the time. It is sad that he died but all these movies are based off of the comics. They use to say in show business, “The show must go on.” Col.Rhiads was recast, yes I know he didn’t die, but it happens. Superman was recast, Christopher Reeves is dead but has been recast.
Shuri is the wrong choice to be the new Black Panther. At least, not as she has existed thus far in the MCU. Her character was deliberately written to be incredibly condescending. Just watch her interactions with Martin Freeman’s Everett Ross. This was done for a very specific reason. Her attitude toward the less technologically advanced American was supposed to satirize how many westerners view Africa. However, that is not a trait that would be remotely well received in the title character of a superhero movie. So, she is going to have to have some substantial character development in the movie, basically changing her entire personality. Making that into a logical narrative is going to be difficult. So really, I think this movie is going to fail simply because they pick the wrong person to take up the role. And it doesn’t help that they’re promoting a vaccine denier.
I wish Chadwick Boseman was still here. He was a much better actor than Letitia Wright will ever be.
Come on…. we all knew as soon as disney bought marvel it would turn to caca! Phase 4 is a joke black panther without a black panther? Really? They obviously do not think out these goals anymore…

Just the way spider man no way was done it will or might be a good idea to bring another black panther from earth 838 or any other earth we love black panther movie and I really love and enjoy tchalla play in the movie but dropping the movie will be more
heartbroken
I think EVERYBODY needs to SHUT THE F#@! UP with the racist bull$#!t, already. We’re all in the know by now that Shuri is taking up the mantle in the next movie. Ryan Coogler is a BLACK DIRECTOR, so if he decided on one way to go, then everyone can suck it with the racist cards being thrown down on the table. There isn’t some conspiracy to defraud the first successful Black Superhero Franchise, THE f#@!ing actor DIED. No one will be able to top what he did. Right now, we just need to wait and see this next chapter. Let the situation breathe for f@#!’s sake.
Marvel and Disney basically used a dead actor as an excuse to throw the main character under the bus and nothing more. The truth be told is that they didn’t care about Black Panther and just saw the IP with little regard for the main character. Even if Chadwick were alive, they would have found a way to undermine or marginalize him in the sequel. They could have just pushed the sequel back or did a show based on the supporting characters, but they chose a way that would alienate a lot of fans who supported the first movie. Marvel and Disney aren’t erasing T’Challa because they are oblivious, but because they just don’t care, plain and simple.
He is trying to sell a movie without T’challa. At the time of filming all the static they heard was do not recast. After this movie keep saying you want
them to recast and return the Mantle to T’challa. And guess what? They will write a movie to recast and bring back T’challa.
Chadwick was an actor playing a role. He was not King T’Chala. I’m sure he’d be the first to remind the producers of that. Look at how many Peter Parkers we’ve been forced to endure. And the rebranding of Peter as some protege of Tony Stark I personally found distasteful but there it is. Movie making is an art form designed to stimulate the imagination not a homage to the past. Please keep the legacy of The Black Panther alive regardless of who wears the claws.
So excited for Wakanda Forever! Can’t wait to see Shuri take up the mantle. Chadwick Boseman Forever!👑🕊🙏🏿. I am looking forward to a recasting of T’Challa in the future. BLACK PANTHER FOREVER‼️
We have had 4 different Spidermans, Batmans, and Supermen thoughout cinema. I dont see a problem with a new Tchalla. Just recast him and honor Boseman by putting money into it and make it an epic followup.
If you can have Micheal B Jordan become the new black panther some how, you would have struck gold. WM dead body and the plant, with Tchala in the spirt world. A combining of the three would solve the problem…Tchalla would be Michael B. Problem solved.
Like, honestly… The sequal to Black Panther is just honoring Chadwick Boseman. I already done did my research and watched the sequal’s trailor and honestly… I can see this being a good movie just by how good the trailor was. I also liked how well they’re honoring Chadwick Boseman. Long live Chadwick Boseman💔🕊
this wouldn’t be an issue had the actor who portrayed the character not died. he would have played the character for a few movies, and the actor would have moved on, and a new actor would take over.
Spider Man, Captain America, Iron Man, the actors want to move on, or the studio wants a new face, so the character gets a new actor. this isn’t some new thing.
In all honesty if Disney did just recast T’challa youse guys would be just as passed and say they were erasing Boseman from the MCU.
Right now they are walking a double egded sword, recast and get hell For it or don’t and get hell for it.
It is sad that Boseman passed, but he was MCU T’Challa. If any of the other main marvel actors passed or weren’t able to play their character in anyway they probably would have been written out.
The multiple spider-man, batman and superman actors all were part of different groups of movies.
Look at the Noland Batman movies, Ledger passed between 2 and 3, and was supposed to be in the 3rd but he was written out. Never mentioned.
Finally, let me ask this; if Disney did recast T’Challa, who would play him? You can’t have Jordan as he’s Killmonger.
Disney is being foolish to no recast T’Challa and with another male not a female. Boswick will be missed but the show must go on. We don’t simply return a character because teh actor who portrayed the character is dead. There are several way to do this. Within the multi-verse they could visit another earth where teh Blank Panthers T’Challa is another actor and something happens to his realty and so he escapes to ours and assumes the mantle of our Black Panther.
Having any of the female characters assume the mantle fo Black Panther is just going to anger fans even more and not because they hate women but because they are tired of teh gender and race swapping that the MCU has been engaged in. Black Panther IS The black super hero, the black superman and if you gender swap him you are going to drive away a good chunk of the fans. Take warning about this Disney. It’s fine if one of teh female characters “temporarily” puts on eth suit because someone must for some reason but don’t even think about making that even semi-permanent.
I have said why can’t they bring Michael B. Jordan’s character back to life like they did Bucky and make him be the new Black Panther that has decided to fight for the good of Wakanda and it’s people and the Universe!
I think they made the right choice. I think nobody else should play Tchalla and he shouldn’t be recast in honour of Chadwick. Sure there is a Multiverse but a variant would still be different. Just wait for the movie to see if and how they honour him.
First off, I can say based on his interviews, that Chadwick Boseman would probably not want people fighting over this kind of petty BS. Sure, the character is synonymous with him. I get it. But did anyone ever bother to think for one iota of time that this boycott is for nothing? It’s just a bunch of toxic fans who are proving a point in that no one wants to even associate with Marvel fans because we are being depicted as toxic little children who howl and scream when they don’t get what they want!
Also, saying there are no female Marvel fans is like saying there is no air to breathe. Some of the best Marvel fans are ladies and they outdo a lot of the toxic fanboys in a ton of respects.
I’m simply going to vote with my dollars and not use any of them to support this movie. If they wanted a superhero movie with a black female lead then make one about Storm that would be dope I would totally support that. But black men and boys already have such limited positive depictions they decided to take one of the few that we have and replace them with a woman. Nope I’m good. They want to turn Wakanda Forever into a Woman King companion movie so be it. Complaining won’t change anyone’s mind so I’ll enjoy other things where black men are celebrated and not simply dismissed and replaced.
Despite all the backlash, guess what? We’re all still going to the theaters to see this movie. Also, yes, I do believe we’ll see at least one King T’challa variant within the Multiverse saga just like we saw Parker’s.
I am so tired of articles like this. Yes the Black panther is a mantle, a title that one gets. There has been many black panthers. Any idiot who has even the smallest knowledge of the Black panther comic should know this.
But guess what? Certain black people going to fall for this crap and not go to the movie. And then you will be giving them exactly what they want.
The industry was afraid when Black panther became such a big hit. And now the media is going to try cost division. And lots of black people are falling for it.
Stop the nonsense. The Black panther has never just been one person. The comic state that. Even the movie showed that. How many Panthers were sitting in that tree in the Land of the Dead, way more than one.
I just can’t believe people are so stupid to fall for this division tactic.
Wait, this whole “aggrivation” is about the job of Black Panther being called a “mantle”? When T’Challa inherited the mantle to begin with from his father and went through a whole ceremony to take over the title? Not to mention that in the process he visited the land of the dead where a number of previous Black Panthers dwell in the after life?

Shiri and Riri’s respected character version neither of them last long
Ajay
You actually believe women spend more on Marvel and Star Wars then men!! That’s insane sir
CTrent29
I’ve been a fan of Star Wars and comic book movies since I was a kid. And I’m a female.
S.J.
But why can’t there be Shuri and Tchalla both in the movies and shows. Maybe not this movie but the next show or movie. He could come back recasted. #recasttchalla #savetchalla
P.S. I’m a woman who wants Tchalla to stay in MCU

Black panther is among my top five favorite movie in the world

RecastTChalla

Aaron
Loll what they’re not just going to throw away the whole MCU
Black Panther Most Overrated Marvel Movie
Who cares black panther is the most overrated marvel movie ever just simply because its an all black (except for one character) movie . Not because the writing was actually that good just because of that. Thats literally all it is because the writing was very predictable it was mediocre AT BEST
James
1000% correct, enjoyable and good movie, but definitely not the best Marvel movie.
Aaron
No not 100 percent correct
JJJ
To be clear, this IS NOT an attack! I’m NOT trying to sensor you, but if you really feel this way, why bother reading this article and commenting? You ask, “who cares?” if you read anything in this article or watched the video attached, it’s quite clear A LOT of people care. In fact, they seem to care A LOT! This seems to mean something to them. If “BLACK PANTHER” means so little to you, then why are you even here?
Ghg
Says the resident white dude who probably believes all black content is mediocre. Yet somehow the most terrible sh!t white people put out daily is magnificent. Lol.
Alex
You’re rac8st, calling someone a white dude. And the person never mentioned that they believe all black content is bad. I believe Johnny, there’s alot of paid Disney trolls.
Dj
I don’t understand it’s overated BC it’s an all black cast ? So if it was an all white cast it wouldn’t be overated ? The movie is called black Panther about Wanaka. How many white people did you expect to be casted in this movie ? Maybe your lack of multicultural education makes it difficult for you to watch, enjoy and understand how this movie was a huge step in Disney and Marvel trying to educate people about other cultures.
Stunning And Brave
No Disney is trying to educate people on touching kids not touching hearts.
Batfink
Aaron
Wow someone is a little cranky about something
BQ
I think that super heroes are great for every culture to have a role model for little kids to grow up with. The reason why Chadwick Bozeman did so well with the T’Challa role is because he knew what kind of positive impact that character will have on Black culture. He did an amazing job and there is someone else out there that will respect that role as much as Bozeman did. We will always appreciate his contribution and it will be an honor to see someone be able to rise to that level of performance.
FR
Show us your racist without telling us you are . Lmao

They really need to recast him
Jayne1955
I will not boycott the movie because they did not recast. It needs to stand or fall on its own merits, which we won’t know until we see it. But it’s fine with me that they don’t recast. For some people it is definitely still too raw to see someone else in the part and it’s not like there are no more stories to tell without delving into the black panther ones. Most of the people I’ve talked to want it recast because they want to see Storm sex, which is really annoying to me.
DP007
James
Please put back on your tinfoil hat and get back on your meds. You’re truly nuts.
Ghg
Actually he’s not wrong. But it’s gonna happen regardless.
Michael
Exactly. They despise the idea of having a black male hero! All black men should boycott Marvel forever!
Eth Ledger
Oh look, another victim culture absolutist.
Rippaverse
I’m black and conservative, and it’s people like you that were raised by Liberal black parents to hate whites.
You probably hate Rippaverse cuz he’s black too. I have a comic collection. Wouldn’t be surprised if Disney hacks are posting here. Saw an ad hiring for mivie posting.

This is a stxb to the heart of feminism and that’s a good thing. Females constantly physically beating up 200lbs males is total phooey and it needs to be stopped. The real reason is these female starred movies are flopping. Males no longer want to pay their hard earned cash to see trash.
Bob Chapek
The Marvel and Star Wars bubbles are bursting due to the woke agenda being pushed into the movies. It was fun while it lasted.
Omega
Musicistherapy
Sounds like Captain America’s first movie, Doctor Strange 2nd, and all but 2 of Thor movies and don’t me started on Captain Marvel
Broken360
Did everyone just decide to forget about Wesley Snipes Blade?!?! I could swear he was the first live action black comic book character movie?
Barry
Ain’t nobody hate marvel like marvel fans, honestly its an entertainment in and of itself to see the fans hate the franchises they claim to love, the amount of hate phase 4 is getting and yet the very people who are hating are the people still paying to see it so no lessons will be learnt, also its tragic as heck that boseman died but he didn’t own the character of tchalla they should recast him, I doubt boseman would want a character with decades of amazing tales to tell to die after 1 film just because he died.
T.c.
Recasting happens all the time. It is sad that he died but all these movies are based off of the comics. They use to say in show business, “The show must go on.” Col.Rhiads was recast, yes I know he didn’t die, but it happens. Superman was recast, Christopher Reeves is dead but has been recast.
Ed
Bill
Come on…. we all knew as soon as disney bought marvel it would turn to caca!

DerKoun
It’s only a mantel when you replace a white guy …
(Thor is his name!)
Draco
Marvel and Disney basically used a dead actor as an excuse to throw the main character under the bus and nothing more. The truth be told is that they didn’t care about Black Panther and just saw the IP with little regard for the main character. Even if Chadwick were alive, they would have found a way to undermine or marginalize him in the sequel. They could have just pushed the sequel back or did a show based on the supporting characters, but they chose a way that would alienate a lot of fans who supported the first movie. Marvel and Disney aren’t erasing T’Challa because they are oblivious, but because they just don’t care, plain and simple.
Len
He is trying to sell a movie without T’challa. At the time of filming all the static they heard was do not recast. After this movie keep saying you want
them to recast and return the Mantle to T’challa. And guess what? They will write a movie to recast and bring back T’challa.
Alexander
Chadwick was an actor playing a role. He was not King T’Chala. I’m sure he’d be the first to remind the producers of that. Look at how many Peter Parkers we’ve been forced to endure. And the rebranding of Peter as some protege of Tony Stark I personally found distasteful but there it is. Movie making is an art form designed to stimulate the imagination not a homage to the past. Please keep the legacy of The Black Panther alive regardless of who wears the claws.
Nefertina Asantewaa Abrams
So excited for Wakanda Forever! Can’t wait to see Shuri take up the mantle. Chadwick Boseman Forever!👑🕊🙏🏿. I am looking forward to a recasting of T’Challa in the future. BLACK PANTHER FOREVER‼️
Kendall
We have had 4 different Spidermans, Batmans, and Supermen thoughout cinema. I dont see a problem with a new Tchalla. Just recast him and honor Boseman by putting money into it and make it an epic followup.
If you can have Micheal B Jordan become the new black panther some how, you would have struck gold. WM dead body and the plant, with Tchala in the spirt world. A combining of the three would solve the problem…Tchalla would be Michael B. Problem solved.
Kayla
Like, honestly… The sequal to Black Panther is just honoring Chadwick Boseman. I already done did my research and watched the sequal’s trailor and honestly… I can see this being a good movie just by how good the trailor was. I also liked how well they’re honoring Chadwick Boseman. Long live Chadwick Boseman💔🕊
sam
this wouldn’t be an issue had the actor who portrayed the character not died. he would have played the character for a few movies, and the actor would have moved on, and a new actor would take over.
Spider Man, Captain America, Iron Man, the actors want to move on, or the studio wants a new face, so the character gets a new actor. this isn’t some new thing.
Ross
Come on, it would be so easy to recast T’challa. Just have another multiverse’s T’challa pop out from somewhere and ouila!
Greg
They have a shield, can’t nuke em and the women can beat your ass. Sorry.
Nich
LegoGuru2000
Ben
I can do one movie with Shuri holding the mantle, then bring in an air universe T’Challa from a universe destroyed my an incursion, and we straight.
Traci
I have said why can’t they bring Michael B. Jordan’s character back to life like they did Bucky and make him be the new Black Panther that has decided to fight for the good of Wakanda and it’s people and the Universe!
Steve
I think they made the right choice. I think nobody else should play Tchalla and he shouldn’t be recast in honour of Chadwick. Sure there is a Multiverse but a variant would still be different. Just wait for the movie to see if and how they honour him.
Rick
Afropunk77
I’m simply going to vote with my dollars and not use any of them to support this movie. If they wanted a superhero movie with a black female lead then make one about Storm that would be dope I would totally support that. But black men and boys already have such limited positive depictions they decided to take one of the few that we have and replace them with a woman. Nope I’m good. They want to turn Wakanda Forever into a Woman King companion movie so be it. Complaining won’t change anyone’s mind so I’ll enjoy other things where black men are celebrated and not simply dismissed and replaced.
MrE
Despite all the backlash, guess what? We’re all still going to the theaters to see this movie. Also, yes, I do believe we’ll see at least one King T’challa variant within the Multiverse saga just like we saw Parker’s.
ROGER D STEVENS
So?

Bane
Wait, this whole “aggrivation” is about the job of Black Panther being called a “mantle”? When T’Challa inherited the mantle to begin with from his father and went through a whole ceremony to take over the title? Not to mention that in the process he visited the land of the dead where a number of previous Black Panthers dwell in the after life?
