  1. No price

Disney doesn’t put prices on anything now.

    1. Ekim

I noticed that yesterday and had to ask for the price of certain items.Plain white tags on the items. No prices even listed above items also.what going on DISNEY????

      1. Richard

I have never had an issue with seaworld prices. I just visited seaworld orlando beginning of July and Busch Gardens Williamsburg end of June. Yes food pass prices went up but everything was clearly labeled

    2. Dawn

Not true…. the shirt I bought on the 17th has its price on it, as does the giant hand-held fan and the Loungfly bag. They don’t price everything, but a lot is still priced. If not, just ask a CM and they would happily check the price for you.

  2. Sarah

Yes, the Sesame Street plush characters all had the bottom part removed.

  3. Bob

We came back from Florida last month. We went to Disney, SeaWorld, Clearview aquarium.
Georgia aquarium. And Georgia zoo. That all had the prices cut out.

It’s just something you have to deal with. They are not bait and switching you. The cost has gone up for them to get the crap so they have to remove the prices

    1. Rs

No. The prices went up after they bought those items, otherwise they’d have current prices.
Also, it’s not the customer’s responsibility to check prices when the price is on the tag! Anywhere else would sell the item for the tagged price and then fix the tags.

      1. Msber

I totally agree with you, why does a customer have to check the price, when the price is right on the merchandise.

    2. Rosemary

The price was one thing on the tag and different at the register. They should have charged the price in the tag and after had someone take those prices off or reflect the new higher price.

      1. Msber

Now, thats what I am talking about. Give the customer the price that they see. Yes, we know everything have gone up, but still why miss a sale if the price is on the merchandise.

    3. Elle Jai

We have annual passes for Aquatica. The food prices have gotten ridiculously high and the quality of the food is beyond sub-par. Also, the number of people smoking my marijuana in the park is ridiculous. People were lighting up right next to my kids.

      1. Garret

Yeah, how dare they! They really should have brought their own instead of smoking yours.

      2. Richard

I was just there in July, no one was smoking pot. Yes the all day dinning went up to 50 from 35, but you can thank Brandon for the prices.

    4. Phil

Agreed, but I also worked in aT.J. Max and if a customer bought a item that was missed in a “price change” it would be sold at the price that was printed on the ticket.

  4. MaryD

Shame on parents for supporting seaworld where they ABUSE animals. They will take a newborn porpoise away from mama and send it to God knows where in Europe while Mama WAILS AND WAILS. They need to be shut down , cited for animal abuse and any supporters are as guilty for allowing and supporting animal abuse. That includes buying their crap.

    1. FredTheShred

      Surely that’s “whales and whales”?

      1. NG

        Objection!

        1. Elle Jai

Smoking marijuana*, not my marijuana. I don’t smoke that crap.

      2. K

        Well played 😂

    2. Doc

You are an idot!!! I don’t work for Sea world but they have done more to save animal lives then you have!! black fin cost more animal lives than anyone can count… you and your stupid mindless followers have turned SeaWorld from a park about animal and conservation to six flags!! FU!

      1. Raven Rose

        *idiot

    3. Blackfish

Sounds like someone watched Blackfish and now thinks they are an expert. 70s/80s Seaworld is a different world than current. They are one of the foremost leaders in marine rescue and rehab.

    4. Leroy

      Mary,

You have no idea what you are talking about. Sea World has a constant rescue operation that occurs daily that no one sees because good stuff isn’t news worthy. I have seen on multiple occasions Sea World employees returning sea turtles back into the ocean after being rescued and rehabilitated.

    5. Opinionist

You’re absolutely right! Anyone who supports these places is the cause of animal cruelty. If there were no audience, this wouldn’t be happening, so yes, they are the cause.

    6. Richard

You aren’t the brightest bulb in the box. Seaworld saves animals and I will support them!

  5. This is becoming more and more common and not just in theme parks. Walmart has price tags with just the price cut off as well. Prices are increasing at an alarming rate and price as marked seems to no longer mean price as marked in this world. If they want to cut the prices off the price tags, then they should do it before the store opens for the day. Once the store opens you should get the price on the tag.

    1. Backcountry164

So they’ll just stop putting the prices on the tags. Would you prefer that?

    2. Neuronurse

There is a ton of price gouging going on. I hit a deer almost 4 months ago… my car has been in the body shop since then, because it was a brand new car and they can’t get parts for it. However we thought we could just get another car… only to find another VW GOLF R (which was hard to find on its own) then if I found one the dealership had marked the price up as much as 25K$ over the sticker price! I went to buy one that the sticker said 48k$ then the dealership when we sat down to do the purchase order said it would be 69k$. WTH! They didn’t pay that for the car. The car is supposed to be the price on the sticker. I asked why he was going over the sticker price and he said it was a hard to come by vehicle 🤦🏼‍♀️ I told him he could keep it.

    3. Sue

True I was a t Walmart this morning and the price on the tag was different then the one that was on the sign that this item was on. I believe I’m sorry out you should paid what’s on the tag and if the store tells you it’s more when you go to the Register and they tell you it’s more then then tag tell them stick it. If they can’t change the price tag then up up a sign so people know that the price on the tag is not right and the item is going to be 10% or 20% more if not they should have to give it to you for what is on the tag

  6. Joe

    Let’s go Brandon

  7. M

I take it you live nowhere near Sea World and only believe in what someone tells you. They don’t have porpoises, they have dolphins and they don’t separate babies from mothers.

    1. Patsy

They take in hundreds of injured sealift and nurse them back to health which would have died without their help. All the animals they keep have reg health care that they wouldn’t get in the wild. You can’t make a thousand lb whale do anything they don’t want to do!! They do the things they do in their everyday life to keep them in shape and healthy and they love the interaction with their human friends and their treats!

      1. Opinionist

You’ve certainly bought the propaganda. Rescues???? “They love their interaction with their human friends, etc.” Did you really say “friends”? Your post is truly embarrassing and it shows that you’re ignorant of the facts.

    2. Zei

Exactly! They also don’t breed the dolphins anymore…which is why the “baby” in the dolphin nursery is 3 years old.

  8. Mike

I take it you live nowhere near Sea World and only believe in what someone tells you. They don’t have porpoises, they have dolphins and they don’t separate babies from mothers.

    1. Wendi

They don’t now. For many years Sea World took baby’s from their mums. We used to be annual pass holders in California. However after we watched Blackwater We refused to support their illegal unethical practices. We haven’t been back since. The fact that they put trainers in the water with a whale known to kill trainers, it doesn’t surprise me that they would cut a tag off something.

  9. But it wasn’t cut off until he got to the register. It should have been sold for the price on it. Then they could change the rest. I would of demanded a manger and then kept going up the line.

  10. Kelly

Sea world abuses animals and no on bats an eyelash. Increases stuffed animal prices by $10 and they’re breaking the law, should be canceled, and the internet is up in arms!

  11. Tacocat

How do you like your minimum wage increase now? Who did you think was going to pay for it?

    1. Josh

You’re moron. You think wages are the reason for inflation? Good god. Explain why inflation is happening in Europe? Where they’ve always paid fair wages. McDonald’s workers in Australia make $21 an hour and by macs cost just about the same. But sure, decent wages in the US the whole reason. Maybe it’s due to massive supply chain issues coupled with low unemployment meaning people have cash to burn and lack of supply to burn it on. Basic economics. But then that’s doesn’t help with your white trash “let’s go brandon” cult think does it?

      1. 2 and 2

There is nothing fair about people with no marketable skills, no marketable experience, and usually no work ethic to match demanding more money to do what robots will soon be doing instead.

Here’s a riddle for the big-brain leftist: why is there “low unemployment” when there are fewer people working?

  12. I worked retail and we had jeans come in with a new higher price so the not real smart manager said you have to buy hand mark out the old price and then reprice them with the new price. That’s illegal, you have to sell the old stock for the original price and then the new ones with the higher price is correct. If something is pre priced THAT IS WHAT YOU PAY AND THAT IS WHAT THE COMPANY HAS TO CHARGE YOU. I’m surprised the minimum cashier cared about the price difference. Unless they pocketing the difference between the 2 prices.

    1. Backcountry164

Illegal?? To change the price of something??LAMO!! Congratulations. You’ve taken the top spot for the most ridiculous thing that I’ve ever read on the internet.
And of course the cashier is just scanning a bar code. The price is already changed in the system. Not that anyone is surprised that you don’t understand how this works either…

      1. Frank

        This is partially correct.
Yes a store xan change the price of almost any item it wants (some vendors have very strict price requirements and they dictate what you can sell something at).
However, if they change the price in the system but forget to change the tag, they must sell it at the lower of the two (tag or register)
Then usually someone in the store gets yelled at for missing the tag or sign change

  13. Backcountry164

Bait and switch is when you lure people in with one thing and then when they get to the store that item is “unavailable” so they try to sell you something else. That’s not what this is. This is inflation at a rate that no one could have predicted.

    1. Inflation

Except for all the people that predicted massive inflation would be the result of printing trillions of Biden Bux to hand out like candy, shutting down the economy for two years, picking fights with the country that makes literally everything we buy and embargoing one of the world’s largest oil producers for doing what is practically America’s national sport.

Yeah no one could have seen it coming.

  14. Gene

If this was SeaWorld in California it definitely was illegal. If an item scans higher than the marked price they MUST sell it to you at the marked price. Stores are spot checked for accuracy and fines issued for violations.

  15. Linda

By law it’s the price on the tag, not the price on the computer. Customer should have disputed it.

    1. Max

No. No it’s not a “law”. Otherwise those of us in retail would have to sell to the career sticker changing low life criminals. But, yes, SEAWORLD should have honored the old price as marked.

      1. Frank

It may depend on where you live, but it is law in some places. Obviously fraud doesnt count.
In general you should pay the lowest price there whether it’s on a tag, a sign, or in an ad (an exception to the ad thing is if the store has a notice of an incorreect ad price already)
It is the stores responsibility to change the signage or price tags. Cutting or crossing the price tags out is acceptable but if you miss one the store needs to honor it or they can be fined.
I have been on both sides of that. As a customer and as a retail manager.

  16. Kendall

Sea world hides its water fountains. The last time I went there in San Antonio,Texas, There was only one near the bathrooms. Also, they only sell Dasani water and Dasani water makes you even more thirsty rather than quenching your thirst. The more thirsty you will get and you will have to buy more water from them for a higher price.

    1. The waters free

Kendall, I haven’t been to Sea World but I have went to parks owned by Sea World and am a current season pass holder for Bush Gardens and Water Country and yes they do only have maybe one or two water fountains in the entire park right at the bathroom, HOWEVER, and this is a big HOWEVER, you DO NOT have to purchase the Dasani bottles of water in order to get water at these parks. ALL of the food vendor and drink vendor locations that have fountain drinks GIVE cups of water to you for FREE! We have our own refillable park cups and they just wave us through the line so you don’t even have to stop. But there’s been plenty of times that I forgot to bring our reusable cups and asked if cups of water were free and the answer has always been yes! On extremely hot humid days that the possibility of heat stroke increases I’ve even saw them set up water stations and the employees actively asking each person if they would like a free ice water and reminding everyone about the heat index and increased chances for heat related illness. From my experiences, every single theme park, water park, zoo, etc are more than willing to give you free ice water on extremely hot days and most it’s their year round policy! You might run into someone who thinks every penny given away personally comes out of their pocket and they’ll charge you like 30 cent for the disposable cup but that’s extremely rare! Next time you’re at Sea World either buy you a refillable drink cup and let them know that you’re only getting water when you fill it and I guarantee that they will wave you on past the line for the register and if you don’t want to or can’t afford the parks plastic cups then tell them beforehand you are just getting a glass of water and they will do the same thing and just wave you on through. Figured you might not know this tidbit of info and I probably wouldn’t have if I didn’t go so often to places like that, but since I saw the free water stations during an extremely humid day in Carowinds I have asked at every single park and they have all been more than willing to give us free cups of water! Hopefully this helps you next time you go to a theme park 😊

I don’t know how the state laws are written on the west coast but in Ohio, if someone brings an item to the register, you are required by law to sell it at that marked price. I have spent the last 35 yrs in retail. If products need price changes they don’t go out to display until the are marked and if they are on the floor and need changed, they are pulled to the backroom until changed. That’s the state law in Ohio. There’s no excuse for poor customer service! And the ruin a child’s special day over a few bucks is bad business!

  18. Erin

We noticed this a month ago when we went. Many things didn’t have prices and the employee would be like “I think it’s like $26.” And then she’d scan it and it was $34. We ended up not buying much at all because it was just waaaaaay too overpriced. The dining plan was also a joke. Only chicken nuggets as a choice for kids at everyone restaurant except one. And you have to lug the whole family through the food line because everyone has to wear their own wristband and get it scanned. I could go on and on but needless to say we won’t be putting Sea World at the top of our list to see again any time soon.

  19. Lew

Hey come on now! We all know things have been real fishy at Sea World for a long time! And just look at Ocean World where The Deep is representing!
    🐬Aw helllll no!!!

  20. Michael Faussett

Everything is going up because of minimum wage is going up to freaking $15. hour so the prices is going to go up with that too people needs to get use to paying more for what they want I am not happy about prices either but I learned to live with it because it’s not going away anytime soon.

  21. Joe Zelenak

No problem for me. The money goes to the animals and rescues as well as paying the staff. Things are going up faster then you can keep up. I always price check first. This is a non issue.

  22. Matt

If that practice which SeaWorld is using is absolutely illegal! If it were me I would have given them the exact amount of money that was required to pay the price on the sticker and if they had a problem with that they could go ahead and call the authorities and it would actually cost them even more when I sue the crap out of them for their illegal practices and the harm it has caused my children!

  23. Matt

Disney doesn’t price everything they leave plain tags on lots of items so they can rise the price whenever they feel like it.which seems to be daily ever since bob paycheck. He had to buy a second money bin after screwing customers and cast members. Fire bob chapek change.org

  25. Dave Hebler

I don’t care what they charged vs the tag, fact is they offered it for sale at the lower price they are not required by law to sell it to you but they are required to give you a legitimate reason to not sell it. The price is wrong is not one of those answers. I suggest they start training their employees better.

  26. Acer1

It’s not a big deal, it’s life. The cashier should have honored the price and then this is a non-issue. What I will never understand is when people throw out how much money they have spent at a certain location. Does that entitle you to something different than the person next to you?
