Sam Wilson has been Captain America since 2014. I think it’s time to let this one go bigots. We get it; for you, if it ain’t white, it ain’t right. Move on already, after the better part of a decade it time you lost your collective ish over something else.
Why bring skin colour into it? Why do you always assume racism?
Huge numbers of people watched the Captain America films and the Avengers films, with CE as CA. A relatively small number will have watched that series.
Most people will therefore think of CE as CA for some time, maybe forever. It’s cos that’s what they’re used to. It’s not cos they all hate non-white people, you racism-seeking weirdos.
Well true, it can be said that some (read major) part of the general audience may not have seen the series and may still associate the title of CA with CE but the fact that a film journalist has not seen the series is hard to swallow. They are supposed to be up to date. If they have not then they are in the wrong profession and not doing their job diligently.

I wouldn’t call him Captain America either. Because he’s not, use another exciting name, let him carry the shield and honor Captain America. But don’t name him after Captain America. He’s just not. And it should be that with all the Marvel characters. If someone comes in to do the same responsibilities that’s awesome. Give them their own name to live on and cherish in history.
I’m vaguely aware of the comic story and haven’t seen the new Thor movie, but I’d probably still call her Jane since Hemsworth’s Thor is still there.
This is a little different. I’d probably still call him Falcon if Rodgers was also still running around as Captain America. Evans’ Cap retired and passed the shield, Wilson’s Captain America pretty easy to get. I didn’t know this was a thing until now. I don’t get it.🤷🏼♂️

Chris Evans, the very man who played CA, literally comes out and says, “Sam Wilson is Captain America”, and these clowns short-circuit, malfunction and find any and every statement imaginable to try and deny/replace this simple fact.
Or maybe it’s because the vast majority still think Chris Evans first when they hear Captain America. Sam was handed the shield at the end of Endgame and had one disney+ series where he didn’t even take ownership of the title until the final episode. I haven’t looked up the numbers, but I’m sure a lot more people have watched Endgame (Not counting all the other marvel movies with Chris Evans’ Captain) than Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Again, we didn’t even see Sam as Cap until the END of the final episode. We have maybe 30 minutes tops of screentime with Sam in uniform holding the shield? How many HOURS do we have of Steve Rogers as Cap? People still associate Captain America with Steve Rogers and Chris Evans. Not because they don’t want to. Simply because of time. Anthony Mackie has barely been in the suit. If it continues after Captain America 4 I can understand the outrage.
