Malaysia and the others are not really a surprise as to their restrictions on PDAs of any sort. I have a Video CD version of the film Elizabeth where they cut a scene with a courtier having sex with a lady in waiting who’s wearing one of Queen Elizabeth’s brand new dresses. The dress turns out to laced with a contact poison that kills that lady.

I wonder how much the loss of those markets will cost Disney. Perhaps Disney could make a regional cut of the film that respects other peoples’ culture and philosophy rather than forcing western culture on them as western powers have done to Asian people for centuries. Perhaps Disney could negotiate some solution with the authorities in those regions. They, and other media organizations already do that fairly often to accommodate the socialist government in China.

Maybe they should stop indoctrinating these type of scenes in their movies. Stop pushing their woke agendas.

    1. Jay

I don’t think you know what the word indoctrinating means

  3. Sailinbow

Word from previews is it’s mostly about the “evils” of “toxic masculinity”. Jeez…

  4. Marta

No I’m not. No one in my family will be watching it ever.

  5. Mark

The American South and other conservative states will probably also be banning it.

    1. AH

Geez, get real. It will not be banned in any state in the union. My family will not watch it though.

I have had many gay friends in my life, especially in the dog show game. I’m a 72 year old straight women who it doesn’t bother if anyone is gay or straight but don’t force it on me.
My friends didn’t try to force their life style on me. We were just people who met each other and became friends. I don’t know what is going on at Disney. I think they have flipped their lid by forgetting what and who kid movies are for. I wish this whole mess would stop trying to get kids to choose who or what they are at an age when all they want to do is play.

The issue is that people get upset with a gay couple kissing, but see no issue with all the other scenes that have straight couples kissing. Nothing is being forced onto anyone. If you think this is being forced onto people, then that says more about you than it does about Disney

        2. Phil

          Well put !

    2. Kevin

You are a complete moron, Mark. And just as bad as the people you are trying to (not as cleverly as you think) complain about.

    3. Mason

No but there will be boycotts. So it won’t do well in red states. Since we don’t want to see woke propaganda in a “children’s film”.

      1. Jordan

There isn’t any “woke propaganda” in the movie. If you have a problem with a couple kissing simply because they are the same sex, that says more about you than you realize. There have been kissing scenes in movies for decades.

  6. AH

Remember when the Disney executive said they were putting LGBTQ+÷=&%$#@ stuff in programing? Here you are.

  7. Kevin

Just Disney trying to push their agenda down everyone’s throats yet again as I am sure this scene has absolutely no bearing on the film as a whole whatsoever nor is it integral to the plot.

    1. Jay

What agenda is Disney trying to push? Did you people not know what they words you are using mean?

  8. Goheidigo

Representation matters & grateful to Pixar for not backing down on including this original scene in the movie. As little as 50 years ago this movie would have been banned because it included people of color. I still can’t comprehend and understand hate towards people & the way they were born.

    1. Kevin

Representation is great. Pandering by shoving scenes that have nothing to do with the plot and are put there just so Disney can say “look at me!”, however,is not.

      1. Jordan

Good thing Disney is just showing representation and not shoving anything down anyone’s throat 🙂

bummer… Disney has gotten away from magical fun for children. If its banned in other countries, why not USA. Same sex, not same sex, whatever, it has nothing to do with an animated Disney movie. Now they have made it where people wont allow their children to see it. Crud Balls. My family will have a hard pass on this one. Poor Buzz.

    1. Jay

Disney has included people kissing in their movies forever, so how has this gotten away from magical fun for children? Does your family also take a hard pass on Snow White, The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, etc? Parents have been disallowing children from seeing certain movies since movies became a thing, I don’t think movie studios really care about that.

  10. Kurt

Everyone here in the USA has the option to see it or not.
If you don’t like the narrative, then don’t see it.
Move on and watch something that dose not offend you.
(But it’s okay to glorify gun violence.)

    1. Kevin

As you yourself said you have the option to not watch movies with guns in them. Move on and watch a movie that doesn’t have guns in them and keep your politics to yourself, thanks. BTW there are guns in Lightyear too *gasp* so I guess you won’t be going to see it?

      1. Kurt

        Hey Kevin! How you doin’?
        Just a little irony.
        Again, watch whatever or not.

        1. Kevin

Really weak response to being called out on your bs, Kurt.

      2. Champ

A kiss between a man and woman is normal. A kiss between 2 men or 2 women is not normal. I do not believe for one minute that people are born that way. How about people that are gay one day and not another or bisexuality. I believe it is a mental illness or something. If it was normal, then why is only a very small part of the population that way.

        1. Alexis

Man and woman would kiss is better.👍🤵‍♂️👰‍♀️

  11. B Lee

I was looking to seeing this, but now I will not! Thanks for the warning.

  12. Mason

It’s not the don’t say gay bill. The bill is the Parental Rights in Education bill. So kids won’t get taught they are the opposite sex at the age of six.

    1. Jordan

That’s not what it’s stopping and that’s not what people are teaching kids at any age

  13. Mr. Blue

Right, the middle east for sure has always had a great track record of the right view point….oh wait..

  14. Joyce

I wish they had put out a warning on the movie, like “V” for violence or “N” for nudity. I would NOT have taken my young grandson to see this movie if I had known they were trying to indoctrinate him into the LGBTQ+ lifestyle.

  15. TC

As a result of Disney reinstating the scene, the Pixar movie has been banned in over 10 Middle Eastern countries, including Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Got banned in my housr here in Ga. To ok… Always enjoyed Buzz. Now we know why they got a new actor voicing him…Toolman said i’m done with this BS…

  16. Alexis

Lightyear needs to be for kids!
Not some stupid gay film. Pixar will be making movies for kids and other ages. McDonald’s toys will be there.

  17. Alexis

Disney would quit LGBTQ for good.👍 Disney will continue making animated movies for kids. We want movies to be normal and safe. Pixar would deleted and cut that character Alisha kissed!😡 Pixar would make kids watch Lightyear to be safe for to like
