How does this have anything to do with Disney? Sounds to me like this family never even took a look at their travel documents/boarding passes before setting foot in the airport!
Looks like something changed when they couldn’t leave in April. For a trip that big, l’d be double and triple checking, especially after having to reschedule. Also, how is that “family barred from visiting Disney”, since they had to leave from Orlando to go home, again with a lot of screwed up air flights?
I agree with first poster, HOW is Disney responsible for someones flights? When you book a flight, you get instant confirmation flight, date, time, etc, Stupidity on the travelers part.
I’m still wondering what “barred from Disney” means. I didn’t see anything in this story that says Disney is not allowing them to ever go back to the park?

After reading this, although not 100% it does seem like the guilty party is not Disney it is KLM.
Not that I am defending Disney. I went there pre-pandemic and it was dirty. Seemed old. Some of the rides are broken down. Everything was absurdly overpriced.
My advice is to stay away.
Go to the space center. Go to Discovery Cove.
Find all the little mom and pop restaurant’s.
Go to the national parks. See the manatees.
Go fishing.
There is so much more than big corporate money pits.

Can’t you find any stores that actually PERTAIN to Disney World? All of your stuff has a heading that is leading people to believe Big Bad Disney has done it again……try printing something ACTUALLY ABOUT DISNEY and stop the leading captions – you are after the dirt – what’s your problem? No more reading your junk for me – I’ll just delete your emails until you take me off your list.

While the situation is unfortunate for the family – the only part Disney had was to be their destination. They certainly weren’t barred by Disney nor did Disney have ANYTHING to do with anything! I’m seriously suggesting that ISTM attempt to raise the bar of the STORIES it publishes because the quality contineus to decline.
We never go to Disney. Our go to is Universal for the benefits, park costs, and City Walk. Disney is a sad case and coat is way too much so we vowed to never go again. Now with the political aspect integrating into everything, it just isn’t worth it. We went pre-Covid and characters wouldn’t come out and when they did, kids were barely allowed to see them. Parks are mismanaged and no one cares about one little family of 7. They shut rides and attractions down and ruined entire park experiences. Total waste of a lot of money. We spend the same money and the entire vacation is spent at Universal parks. The best!!!!!
I think you owe your reader an apology and should submit a addendum/statement that clarifies your intentions. You as a writer were utilizing the play upon words, that due to the fiasco w/ KLM the family beas nearly barred from visiting Disney. They were not barred by Disney. The issues lye in the fact that travelers should be wary of KLM practices, and others with complaints should really in support of the family getting refunds. If KLM did not issue proper notice of ticket error etc. 2. The travel should follow a good checklist prior to leaving for the airport to help avoid similar issues (even though there are bad company practices out there.) 3. The expenses and disappointment in the Disney experience does add to the dissatisfaction & disappointment of this family, but is not a true focal point of this article & was not needed that’s another article. 4. Are you promoting Disney or Against Disney? 5. How did I get on this list?
