I mean if they are gonna go out and say that he is gonna be Darth Vader or is returning to play the part…then doesn’t bloody matter he should be the only one in the suit regardless of if fighting involved or not. I mean heck Ewan probably does lot of his own fighting so stands to reason that if he does then Hayden should as well especially if he is being filled as Anakin/Darth Vader.
Bizarre. So Hayden’s affiliation is really for marketing purposes only. It’s not his voice, it’s mostly not him in the suit… What’s the point? Unless there are flashback scenes in an upcoming episode, it could have been anyone playing that role.
I find it hysterical that there is zero mention of James Earl Jones in this article or Bistrevsky’s flowery and self-congratulatory quotes. Acting as though Hayden Christenson’s involvement somehow MAKES the iconic character (nothing personal, Hayden) is ridiculous. It’s about Jones and finding suitably imposing replacements for David Prowse. Christensen’s involvement is nearly pointless if it’s showing Vader and not Anakin.
I cannot believe how worked up people are getting when we’ve only seen half of this series so far! Actually there’s more Hayden Christensen than you might notice. In part 2 and 3 we see Vader glaring before being encased in the suit. Don’t you realize how many hours of makeup Hayden had to go through to deliver those few minutes?? (I know for certain that’s actually Hayden – he’s credited in all six episodes on IMDB and that was the only screen time in part 2 with Vader in it.) As far as the actors in suits… Dmitrious Bistrevsky is credited with only one episode on IMDB. And we know Hayden trained for a light saber duel in Obi Wan Kenobi, so it can’t all be Tom fighting. So there must be more Hayden than we think. Why can’t we calm down and wait until the final installment before jumping to judgement?
