I don’t care about the political crap. The lack of park maintenance, the nickel and dining, and the terrible treatment of employees is enough treason to fire his ass.

    1. Deb

      Agree 10,000%.

Park maintenance is at an ALL TIME LOW. We have been Disney-ing consistently since early 1987. The parks are a mess! Disney used to be an adventure. Now… It’s just another Six flags, except VERY expensive. Merchandise in stores is just cheap crap. I used to go into the stores and had to watch my spending. Now, I have a really hard time finding anything to spend $$ on. The bathrooms are filthy! The walkways used to be pristine, but not anymore. They spend so much money trying to expand but can’t/won’t maintain what they already have. Cast Member morale is abysmal. Chapek has managed to cheap EVERYTHING to garbage but raised prices so much that those of us who had been die hard Disney for 35+ years are calling it quits.

  2. Jim

    He has been a disaster.

    1. Sas

Not my childhood Disney. Get rid of this woke leader

      1. Walt

Fire Chapek and release “Song of the South”.

        1. Steve

You can find it on torrent sites.

  3. RealityCzech

Get woke, go broke. That “walkout” amounted to ONE Florida employee and around 30-40 in California.

If you don’t think the alphabet people are in the minority, that’s proof.

Keep poking the bear and the righteous will eventually punch back.

    1. SCOTT m Lee-ROSS

sorry, but your facts are incorrect. Try again.

      1. BobC

Maybe you could provide the missing “facts”?
“Lightyear” is on course to underperform even “The Good Dinosaur” for revenue. Considering it’s $200M pricetag, you’d think Disney would understand that it shouldn’t be p*ssing on it’s youngest fans. But, no, the artists are more important than them.

        1. Bob

If you think a quick kiss between two women is what caused Lightyear to have box office issues you are the stupidest human in this site. Disney has been releasing every animated movie on Disney plus which has primed people to wait especially adults. A few big action films do well but most films are still struggling. Further, changing out the voice is probably the bigger controversy here. Not using Tim Allen means less nostalgia for the parents who grew up with toy story and the kids may have watched it but also have other interests.

        2. Steve

Add another hundred million in advertising.

      2. Steve

You sound like a desperate shareholder deep under water.

    2. JayArnold

They absolutely have been pandering to a tiny minority of woke loud mouths. I too saw the pics of ONE Florida employee and a rag tag handful of California employees walking out. These idiots DO NOT represent the fanbase that Disney has spent 80 years building up. Chapek’s only chance is to fire their asses and change the culture at Disney immediately. What they are doing now is not sustainable.

      1. Steve

The problem is that while the ground level employees don’t actually support socialism, the upper echelons definitely do, including the board of self-guilt whites and foreign entities. There is a reason they are happy to lose half their valuation as long as the right message is being pushed.

  4. EricJ

With Eisner, it was unjust firings that started his kickout.

With Chapek, it may have been one unjust firing that FINISHED it…

  5. Victor Nazarian

He has been a disaster! Fan and customer satisfaction is down. Stockholders are furious and employee morale is in the toilet.

    1. Ginger

Who ever believes what the demented women said about Mr Money Bags is crazy. Stock prices lower than they have been in years, parks are in total need of repair, ruining the movies for kids-first Lightyear next Elsa, charging more getting less for everything, should have never gotten involved in politics, employees moral is very very low. If they are going to keep this man as ceo then they deserve everything that happens. I just feel for their employees. If I was them I’d be looking for a new job. Better pay, set work hours, nicer place to work, and they can probably sleep better at night because they wouldn’t have to put up with the mess Chapek has created.

      1. Dawn

Why, because the character of “Elsa” is a lesbian? She’s always been a lesbian, not sure how that is ruining it. Or did you just not realize she is and just now found out?

  6. Anonymous

Everybody says hey don’t be hard on that person give ‘em a chance. But in the last two years since he became CEO, Bob Chapek has proven to be a pathetic leader.

  7. Melissa

Disney is not what it was before the pandemic in so many ways. The magic has been sucked out by the cost, genie+ and all of the political junk. It’s hard for us to continue to support a company that no longer cares about ALL families. Disney has turned their back on traditional family values, making Christian families feel unwanted, not to mention the cost has skyrocketed to the point that it unaffordable even to middle class families. Very disappointed.

    1. SCOTT m Lee-ROSS

Sorry, Melissa but I think you have your facts wrong.
Walt Disney World is setting records for attendance. Income is setting all time highs, and net revenue is up. It is a question of economics. The Demand exceeds the Supply so the price must go up. It has gone up and the Demand still exceeds the Supply. So even the new prices are not high enough. Disney has not turned their back on traditional family values. Inclusion for all, Diversity in the workplace and speaking out against religious leaders and their discriminatory policies are the traditional values of Jesus and should be your Christian family’s values. Remember, What Would Jesus Do? Anything else is just hypocrisy,

      1. Walt

I love it when ignorant people who never cracked the Bible claim a word of knowledge from God.

        1. S1

          You nailed it!

        2. RealityCzech

Bingo, you can tell by his snark that he never read God’s Word. And the WWJD is a joke. It’s WHAT DID JESUS DO? Well Jesus is God, is the Holy Spirit. And since the WHOLE Bible is about Jesus and written under the influence of Jesus…I’d be safe to say Homosexuality, Lies, Thievery, and tons of other sins separate you from Heaven. Unless one repents, you’ll never enter in.

      2. Timothy Hoster

I am curious. How is Disney Breaking attendance records? When they claim that they are working at reduced capacities.
When you triple and quadruple fees and put on charges that never existed before of course revenue will increase for the short term but the numbers are now starting to reflect the cost of those fees and the decrease in revenue. Start looking at the revenue reports and you will start to see a tren and it is not good.

        1. Kelly Connerton

          Very good point.

      3. Andrea

Jesus would say it’s probably not a great idea to put families in an awkward position of having to explain homosexuality to young children when watching movies or attending theme parks they used to think were a safe space for wholesomeness.

        1. BobBob

Except Jesus never says one thing about homosexuality in the Bible. There are some later leaders and disciples that take issue but nothing attributed to
Jesus. But I love how you selectively enforce certain things…
Yet don’t others. I mean start protesting football on sundays (also banned in Leviticus). Put to death all people who work on Sunday. Can’t cherry pick

      4. Julian H

Sorry Scott but you are brainwashed and blinded by Disney. Wake up and smell the roses, Disney under the lead of this ridiculous CEO Chapek has gone so far down hill its going to take something Epic to bring it back.

Disney is taking you for a ride and its not Space Mountain.

      5. Cameron Debartolo

The parks Arent breaking attendance records? Look at the actual annual reports they’re making similar to prepandemicnumbers, they just charge alot more now but , there not generating any actual net income which is most important . Not to mention the amount of people that visited them this year was due to the fact they were cooped up during covid and just wanted to do something simple like a theme park, most of those people will leave the country next year as everything reopens disney will feel the effects of there gouging trust me. I have always loved dianey and don’t even like universal but I will gladly go there now as will others.

      6. Tony from Virginia

I have to agree with Melissa on this one. Disney does make Christian Families feel unwanted. Pushing the gay agenda is how they spit in our face every chance they get. Do you remember The Night of Joy for 35 years Disney had a Christian Music Festival and they canceled it in 2018.
As for the rest of your argument Disney stock is down 45% over the past year with the dow being down 8% over the same period that should tell you everything you need to know

      7. Steve

OK. Why is the stock at what it was in 2014?

  8. DonB

As a highly invested 20+ year DVC Member we have never questioned the value of our membership…until Chapek and his team of money grubbing underlings took over. We’ve lost several of the value added benefits that contributed to our decision to join DVC. Losing our annual pass discount was an ultimate “ bait and switch “ and for the first time ever , we are passing on going to Disney World for our summer vacation. I understand attendance is up but taking away membership benefits is unacceptable. Add in all of the price gouges and loss of Magical Express , free Fast Pass , etc and the overall value just isn’t there any more. Thanks Chapek , for wrecking our love of WDW.

    1. Jan Gross

Well said! My husband is so done with the parks. We own DVC, but do not intend to go to the parks like we used to. Annual Passes are outrageous. We will use our DVC just to spend the week away from home, work, etc, but not do the parks. There are 3 other places to go, Hilton Head, Vero Beach and Aulani.

      1. Dave

That’s what my family is doing! I was in Orlando in January and we skipped the parks and played golf. Arnold Palmer, beyond the grave, gives us a better deal than Chapek! We love the HHI resort. Chapek should’ve been canned a couple of months ago. The longer he stays, the longer it will take for us to return to WDW.

    2. S1

The magic is gone. I’ve seen the same pattern with our annual passes. Cost goes up, benefits go down – you can’t even get into the park due to the flawed reservation malarkey! BUT! You and buy a day ticket and enter! My pass is supposed to allow me in any day of the year! But, sadly there is no room… But again, I can go buy a dead pass. The dream key pass I was sold is not what was delivered! And now, we have a lawsuit citing breach of contract.. That’s magical!

      1. JT

AP’s aren’t getting the reservations because we don’t add to their revenue. We don’t buy all the extras that’s one one with a day pass would buy. Ticket holders buy food, drinks, souvenirs, all the extras like park hopper and genie+. AP’s aren’t buying all of that so we get crapped on and get minimal spaces to get a reservation. It’s gross. We have been AP’s since 2010 and get less and less every single year. I keep trying to go when my parents visit but one or the other can’t get reservations (us with AP or them with tickets). I’m sick of this reservation system, no dining plan anymore (we used to do staycations but not anymore), most discounts are gone. But wait we have magnets for you! Chapek has done nothing but destroy peoples love for Disney and no one is having a magical time anymore. Time for him to go!

        1. Sandy

          I fully agree!

      2. Dawn

Ummm….. I am looking at the reservation calendar right now and can book any of the next three days…. and pretty much the entire month of July (except for the days my son’s “Believe” pass is blocked). Not sure what you are talking about. Days are wide open…. When the passes were first brought back, yes there were issues, but not now.

  9. Walt

His money grubbing has not ranslatged inrto stock prices increases but precipitous falls. And sorry but I am not going to favor a company that now will pay for its employees to travel to other states to kill another human being. This company is morally lost.

    1. S1

Agreed- Walt would be so disappointed….

  10. AH

All of this bad stuff happening now on Chapek’s watch actually was begun by Iger except for the political war with Florida. Chapek went right along with it all and now you have what you have. Chapek and the entire board needs to go, and all the wokes who have taken over human resources, and elsewhere in the company, should be shown the door.

    1. Tim

Actually, what most people see as Disney- The Parks. Have been under the control of Chapek for some time and he has put his Padawan (Actually Sith Lord) in charge of them to continue the path of destruction he had started as he has moved onto the entire corporation and destroying that.

  11. Norm

I remember when “Paycheck’s” name was mention to take over CEO. I was on a message board and several people said it wasn’t going to be good. They were right. We were at DW this past January and the parks were trashy. Trash cans were running over with trash, tables were dirty, and water areas had trash in them. Even some of the rides had trash in them. I remember the days when you could rope drop Magic Kingdom and not find a single bit a paper on the ground. By the way, be careful when you sit down anywhere at Disney World. You might sit on something that wouldn’t look good stuck on your butt. Pay more for Genie+ so you can “quickly” ride the rides you already paid for by purchasing a multi-day ticket. Now we’re hearing about increased altercations from people on family vacations because guests are so stressed out. If Paycheck is renewed mark my words on this. We’re going to be paying for bus service. Take your car or take the bus. One way or another you’ll pay for parking or transportation.

For the record, I’m a DVC member. For the first time since 1993, we’re going to start using our membership for other destinations. My wife even suggested we use our membership, stay on Disney property, but go to Universal or other areas.

  12. Tommy

I’m a 25 year DVC member and just returned from WDW after a week’s vacation. This woke, LGBTLMNOPABC crap all up in my face is a bunch of garbage! They even have rainbow colored ice cream on a damn stick. I’m through with WDW until they get back to what Walt Disney wanted his dream to be! I’ll just use my DVC account for third party time share exchanges!

    1. Susan

I totally agree. Bring back a leader who understands the heart that is Disney and sees, clearly, Mr. Walt’s dream. Enough is enough.

  13. Romyeaux

The Walt Disney Company should NEVER have engaged in politics. The bottom line is children. Nobody goes to Walt Disney World with a political agenda. They go to have fun at a wholesome place, unlike the world outside. Walt and Roy created the company for children, not politics. The entire board should be fired. I wish Roy E. Disney was still alive. He would have put an end to this quickly.

    1. Fred Page

Totally agree. They are destroying the brand among the core customer base. Core customers were attracted to the brand to affirm their values (family, traditional – conservative, etc). This Board has succeeded in destroying the company’s brand equity!

    2. JayArnold

      Absolutely agree with you post!

  14. Julian H

Romyeaux – That was the perfect response spot on..

    100% agree with you.

  15. brian

Disney has forgotten they’re a business, doing business with people from all walks of life… we are entitled to our opinions whether one agrees with them or not… Liberals say they’re inclusive of all, yet they’re just as guilty of singling groups of people that they accuse conservatives of doing… it’s ok to agree, to disagree and move along .

  16. Liz

I miss Eisner quality was just better. And most of these comments are ridiculous.

    1. Steve

Eisner was the last time Disney was Disney. Iger destroyed the brand and only now under the blind leadership of Paycheck are they noticing.

  17. Colette Kuznicki

When Walt was building these parks the most important thing to him was for kids and family’s could come to a place where they could have fun and make it a special time for the kids. He wasn’t looking at the bottom line, worry about how big his pay check would be. He especially wanted it to be family oriented.
Now all the higher ups especially the CEO, want more money in their pockets. How many time in the last year have prices on everything gone up, 4, 5, 6 times or more, I can’t keep up up with all the changes. The price of food keeps going up and quantity gone down. Disney clothing prices keep going up and quality has gone down. I had a shirt that when washed the first time the decal was peeling off and there were a lot of holes in it, I had to throw it away. I want to say it’s a washer we might have it a year and our other clothes we washed come out just fine, turn all the Disney clothes inside out, washed in cold water and dried on low, as instructed. I am now looking at the comments people put on Shop Disney before I buy it, and I’m glad I do so I know if I need to order a size up or down or I can order my regular size. It’s amazing how many times I have to change my size because so many you can’t go by the size chart. The only item that I haven’t had to change was the Spirit Jersey and I have very many of them. Souvenirs are poor quality, some of the faces painted on them are horrible, they don’t even look like the characters from years ago.
Our family has been priced out of Disney World and it’s a shame because as a family we all had such a great time. That is what Walt & Roy Disney wanted their parks to be.
Chapek needs to go!!!! When my son heard he was going to be CEO, he said this will be the end of Disney. And the way it’s going he might be right.
When did you ever hear about Disney having a problem with the governor of Florida, and local government. You didn’t. Until Chapek.
Disney World was working like a well oiled machine. You don’t fix something that isn’t broken. Go back to the GOOD DISNEY that we used to have.
I’ll get off my box now and eat dinner
    SAVE DISNEY WORLD!!!!

  18. Bren

I don’t know how many of you have actually been to Disney World in the last ten years, but this has nothing to do with being “woke” so quit regurgitating the phrase coined by ultra conservatives. You’re showing your true ignorance of being a follower instead of doing your own fact checking. If you had been to Disney in the last ten years, then you would remember when Chapek was chairman of Disney parks, experiences and products. You would remember when the merchandise quality started going down. You would remember when the resorts quit making towel animals. You would remember when service started faltering. You would remember that something was missing more and more year after year. He’s been screwing up Disney for almost ten freaking years! This has nothing to do with being “woke or go broke” crap being spewed. If you were a once a year Disney visitor, you would remember how things kept getting worse year after year. No more have a magical day being said, being ignored by employees, lines getting longer and longer, prices going up, bus service sucking more each year, food quality going down, deals not being offered like the year before, more having to stay on your phone to try to get a fast pass, reservation for eating, watching the system crash, “safety” checks being done on a daily basis in your hotel room, resorts not being as pristine. Need I go on? I could. This is not a new thing from Chapek. His first ruining was of my beloved WDW parks and resorts. Then he got promoted. Such a sad day, and horrible mistake. He cares about money. The board cares about money. And yes, how could you not be making record breaking profits when hotel costs have gone up, food prices have been jacked up ridiculously (often times overnight), no more magical express, less days of lower ticket costs by changing the “slow” times when they did cost less. I mean come on. Of course your profits will soar! He is a real winner! So open your eyes. This is not because of “libs” or “pubs”, it’s because of greed and profit. And way too many have fallen for it, and still are paying for what they remember it being. Open your eyes, think for yourself, do your research, and quit following.

    1. JayArnold

To you point Chapek is a bean counter, and a ruthless man. But Iger was indeed a wokester who populated Disney management with Woken activists rather than smart business people. Chapek does not know how to handle or lead his own employees because they have different priorities than he does. Disney should have been something impossible to screw up – but between the woke activism and greediness they are managing to do it.

    2. Steve

Maybe going woke didn’t cause every other problem, but it definitely destroyed any goodwill half or more of the country may have had to keep them from noticing those problems.

  19. JayArnold

Well, he did inherit a problem of Bob Iger populating Disney management with Woke activists. Not what 95% of Disney fans want to get hit in the face with when entering a park or watching a movie. Disney fans are Disney fans because they want to get AWAY from that BS. If Chapek wants to turn things around and keep his job he needs clean house… get rid of all the inept incompetent wokesters that Iger hired. Also fix their Star Wars problem. Fire Kathleen Kennedy. Oh yeah and hire back Gina Carano.

    1. Steve

Never going to happen. He kowtowed to them and is now fully beholden to an agenda – not shareholders.

  20. Rob

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out!

    1. Julian H

Rob I hope it does hit him, as hard as it hit our pockets.

  21. Moobear

Former passholder here: Genie+ is crap. Rides are broken down more than they are running. The parks are dirty. The cast members are often rude and angry. The food service employees at many counter service restaurants are no longer allowed to make adjustments to food orders (IE: NO, you CAN’T have the lime dole whip without the pineapple juice at Aloha Isle or NO, you CAN’T get the the Moroccan dish at the food festival at Epcot without the aioli drizzled on top even though there is absolutely no one in line behind you and the dish has not been put together yet….food allergies apparently no longer matter at Disney because the “artistic intent of the chef who created the dish” matters more than Disney’s customers. By the way, the “artistic intent” comment really was said by a restaurant manager at Disney…new rule under Chapek apparently.) The magic is gone. Even my kids have no desire to go back. I’m so done with Disney until they get their act together.

    1. Steve

Just recently a somewhat know Disney YouTuber was refused a second crappy paper straw for their overpriced drink.

  22. john Rickards

He has been a disgrace and has ruined the Disney Brand in 2 years. He needs to be fired and his woke policies rescinded,

  23. Susie Wilson

He sucks!!! The Disney magic from my childhood is gone! The Disney magic of my adulthood that sustained me thru rough times is gone! The Disney magic this old lady still looked forward to every few years instead of every year cos your horrible CEO choose to raise prices, take away perks, and banish magic from the place that Walt built for plain and simple magic! PURE, PLAIN, and SIMPLE MAGIC. There is no place for politics in plain and simple. Never was never will be!
Walt is rolling over in his grave! Plain and simple.

  24. Julian H

Whats to discuss, please get rid of this greedy clueless git.

  25. Steve

Unless it is in custodial (which he doesn’t deserve, they work hard), I don’t care.
