As someone who relied on tips for a living I find this practice very stupid. Why? Because at some point it’ll piss some people off that would’ve tipped originally but now won’t.
Then there’s those who don’t give af or those who’ll feel called out for picking, say amber, without knowing all the facts, or visa-versa. I also hate seeing those tip jars that said “tipping isn’t a city in china” besides being tactless and overtly racist it made you feel obligated to tip or feeling guilty for not doing so.
Just leave politics, entertainers, and racist troupes out of the tipping process unless you feel narcissistic enough to believe people will look pass your overwhelming stupidity and tip you anyways.
(BTW, I’m 100% behind Johnny Depp. That’s hard to believe seeing how I’m a survivor of the exact same abuse from not only my ex boyfriend but also from his current girlfriend. A couple of the worst gaslighting, narcissistic, woe-is-me sociopaths that I’ve ever had the displeasure of knowing. Our son and I escaped that hellscape 8 years ago, which accord shortly after he stood by while she tried to stab me (and refused to back me up to the police) and right before I found out that she constantly called our son retarded due too his Asperger’s. She did dip my hair brush in the toilet once but never pooped in my bed. 💩🛏️
