It’s hilarious you think Empire Strikes Back was universally well received. Read fan letters from 1980 (I know, ancient texts)

Guarantee they’ll remake the original trilogy recasting the original characters for the 50th anniversary of Star Wars.

Watch for a shot for shot CGI stylized remake.

I’d rather see the series die out rather then watch them destroy it with the trash they’re putting out now.
But, be warned, if you don’t like it, it’s because you’re a racisisisist

I love everything that Disney has come out with. I’d really like to see something more of Luke between Return of the Jedi and Force awakens. But I’m afraid the haters will kill it and those of us hungry for more will be left wanting. Same thing going on with Star Trek. Too many purists. I loved the kelvin timeline.

The problem isn’t too many purists. The problem is that most people just don’t like them. There aren’t enough purists to sink either of these franchises. The problem is that most casual fans just don’t like them. The numbers don’t lie. Casual fans should be enough to make these series smashing successes. So where are they??

The Wheel is round, it has been that way for a very long time. Just imagine someone coming around now in 2022 and present you with a square wheel, telling you that its better, but if you don’t like it you are a racist.
Star Wars episode IV, V, and VI are the OG of the Frenchise, I, II and III were not terrible, but broke some cannon theories.
Moving on with the Disney topic. The only movie they have kind of done well was ROGUE ONE, the rest is just very mediocre.
Disney could have used one of the many fantastic Cannon books or even the Thawn series and put it into 3 fantastic films (check out the books from Timothy Zahn).

The characters in the original trilogy are dead, and that’s ok. No one lives forever, but the franchise can and should continue in different directions with the development and expiration of different characters. It’s certainly fine to be diverse and inclusive, but not to just check off the boxes. The stories are what have been a problem. 7,8,9 and Solo were mediocre stories. Glover saved Solo from being a disaster. But Mandolorian shows that you can make a great story without old characters (it was great before the Luke cameo). It’s all about the story – as it was for the original. I don’t need plot holes filled. I don’t need origins stories. I just need a good story that captivates me and makes me say “wow” when the credits roll.

I have to agree with story.. I will Say I thoroughly enjoyed Solo. Could it have been better? Maybe. I don’t know what people were expecting with it, but it was fun. Episode 7 was decent. Strong points were new characters. Their development was lacking. Han being killed was rough but almost poetic. Episode 8 was a wreck. To much filler and not enough story. Disliked it a lot. Episode 9 Strong points Palpatine. Should have just went Palpatine throughout. They all felt crammed together to fit not like they belonged. together. They have hit their mark with the show they are putting out now. There are still adventures for the OG Disney just needs to execute better. And I still want a Solo 2. Enrich did fine.

Don’t recast Star Wars. Recast Kathleen Kennedy and all problems should be solved

Is this even news?? Of course they’ll continue to dump on legacy characters. Let us know when Darth Kennedy backtracks and decides to retire…
