  3. Never hated on Hayden, the direction in the trilogy was awefull though and EVERYONES performances suffered for it.

I always loved Hayden’s portrayal of Anakin. He nailed the conflict within the character. I felt the love he had for Padme. I felt the heartbreak of losing his mother. I understood why he did (what he thought) whatever it takes to save his love’s life. Vader was right! I can’t wait to see him in this series!

  5. Does this sort of retcon A New Hope? Vader says “a lots changed since the last time we met, when I left you I was but a learner now I am the master” Revenge of the Sith and Mustafar wasn’t their last meeting?

That’s the problem with Disney. They don’t care about the story of these movies and they just step on everything established by George Lucas. Same thing happened with Rogue One. They fired the laser two times and even flew threw space when Tarkin clearly stated in ANH that firing on Alderan would prove that the base was operational.

Tarkin stated that firing on Alderaan would prove that the Death Star was “Fully operational”, as in destroying whole planets in a blink of a eye. In Rogue One, they didn’t use the whole power of the Death Star. They only used enough power to destroy Jedha City, and scorch the surface of Scarif. The did not completely destroy the planets as they did with Alderaan.

Always saw the character for everything you said, if saving a loved ones death meant doing everything possible who wouldn’t?
The Jedi were somewhat shadier than the Smith anyway even to the point of manipulating children

  7. I always lived the character Anakin Skywalker and I thought Hayden did a great job of a character that was always gonna be over scrutinised unfairly of course from some fans . The dual of the dates fight for Anakin was one of the most pivotal moments in starwars history and the lightsaber combat in Ros was incredible. So happy Hayden came back so excited for the 27th !! Feeling out to the max

I always loved the Prequels and was always bothered by all the hate. Just as someone stated in the post, it bothers me that they are doing to Hayden what they did to Andrew Garfield. Hayden doesn’t know how to act, Hayden was the main reason the PT sucked, Hayden is garbage as Darth Vader ect and all off a sudden everyone always loved him just like everyone always loved Andrew’s Spiderman. Years from now people will be saying they always loved Alden’s role as Solo and they will clap and cheer at his return after all the hate the poor guy got.

  11. I thought his role was terribly written.. . I just hated the writing. The actions that character took weren’t logical. This made his performance seem poor because no one understood him. My opinion hasn’t changed. Disney is bad at writing scripts for Star Wars.

I finally caved in to watch StarWars (Im home with covid) and I literally became a fan BECAUSE of Anakin’s character he played. So thanks to him, I am now a fan. I hated Yoda and ObiWon annoyed me.

I became a fan because of him too!
And…. names my son Ayden Anakin. Was pendant with said son the first time I ever watched it.

  13. I don’t think he was hated. I say a job well done as an actor. If people respond with hate. You nailed the character of Darth Vadar.
I grew up on the original Star wars and was not at all happy with the new chapter.
But at the end, you made it clear why Vadar became who he was and why he saved Luke because of blood ties. Awesome!

Well, as a little girl I went to see Episode 6. Too little to comprehend or care much. Fast forward to me being 23 (and pregnant). I watched episode 2 with my boyfriend and was HOOKED. Episode 3 hasn’t even come out yet. To this day Hayden’s first Star Wars movie is my favorite. Oh, and my son’s name? Ayden Anakin. 😉
