No, it’s a safety measure or at least it should be.
While all of us know Disney visitors will complain incessantly about everything (real and/or imaginary), the long mentioned complaint concerning the lack of lighting in the parks during evening hours is a legitimate one. Walkways should be illuminated more effectively to help avoid the trip and fall issues that happen constantly.
