I swear! It’s like he’s TRYING to see how much he can get away with until Disney’s lawyers pound his ass into the dirt!

Or the taxpayers who are flipping their lid.

It might be that is exactly what DeSantis wants Disney to do because then he can use their actions as his Golden Ticket to the presidency in 2024 .

He will use Disney’s lawsuit as an example of how private corporations with a woke social agenda are trying to dictate to government as to what their policies should be in regards to the sex education of children .

I am pretty sure he will be the next president of the USA if that happens .

  2. Disney property is located in two counties: orange and osceola. So it will be interesting to see which county comes in times of fire.

    Disgusting, what an evil man.

Evil and really stupid. Disney thrives with or without Florida. Does Florida? Nope.

Wow. Both of you are brainwashed. Why don’t you move to your land of liberalism and shut the f up.

      2. drew who

Are you really saying all of Florida’s economy is reliant on Disney ?

You can’t really be that stupid can you ?

    Let the libtard tantrums begin.

There’s been so much news coverage of the fine print that the district’s status can’t be revoked until “all debts are paid”, that DeSantis has been trying to steal Trump’s Mexico-wall act, and saying “We’ll MAKE Disney pay their own debt!”

Uh, yeah, but might want to look closer at that agreement:
It says “Until all debts are paid AND all bonds are processed”.
Not sure how transferring bonds to new ownership would work, but the current ones are set to mature in October 2029.

(Those Trumpets just don’t deal well with big long papers of stuff to read, do they?)

    Desantis is a trump puppet.

Disney manage the parks just fine without a Communist style state takeover of private property. Take your ignorance and transphobia to vacation at a Trump hotel while you can. One less MAGA thug at the parks won’t bother us.

      Pro-groomer.

Jason out of interest are you a member of the LBGTQ community ?

@Jason, Disney World Florida has special privileges that no other company does, so it only makes sense that when Disney gets involved politically that their privileges get taken away.

According to the Supreme court, a government can’t penalize a company for free speech since it is protected by the Constitution. DeSantis is about to be knocked off his high horse by the court system. Aren’t the GOP supposed to be pro-business and small government anyway? Perhaps DeSantis hasn’t gotten the memo yet.

Ever heard of lobbyists? Companies fight legislation all the time, you don’t always hear or see it because it is behind the scene. I don’t agree with Disney, nor do I understand the gender confusion going on.

Disney had every right to speak out and to fight the law. Their power to influence and speak out will not end with the elimination of the special district. Which is highly unlikely from the looks of it.

White nationalism is happening fast, we must stop the forces of evil who abuse
    Their
    Power

      Go sell crazy somewhere else.

  9. Bill

I have no idea why everyone is going bezerk about this when DeSantis is only making Disney World pay their fair share of taxes.

So De Santis promises to make Disney pay? The ruin comes when Disney decides to shut it down. Orlando was a sleepy little nothing town prior to Disney World’s arrival. Now it depends on tourism. Shutting it down may be less expensive for Disney, considering tax write-off, then the De Santis plan.
Do you think Georgia would be interested in a Disney World, and Disney Cruises? Mmmmm…
