  1. “Tone it down.” WTH does that even mean??? The network has this woman jumping through hoops for what seems like NO reason except to make her life difficult. I would think that, at this point, she’s had just about enough of this BS. Ridiculous.

    1. Kay Lowe

      ❤❤❤

      1. Tone it down? She barely shows any emotion if you ask me. She keeps an even lax tone throughout until the very end and even then there’s not much expression of excitement. What Jeopardy show am I watching?

        1. Cindy Ryan

Please stay the way you are. Love how you narrate the game and I enjoy your encouraging or humorous comments.

        2. suzannevhf

I’ve been watching Jeopardy ever since I was 5 years old. I believe that fact allows me to way in on this ridiculous comment. Town it down? Town what down. Both hosts add their own brand of pizzazz to the show. Who’d watch a show that was boring? Alex is turning in his grave over this controversy. Let their personalities bloom. Jeopardy deserves more sophisticated thinking than what I’m hearing. Suzanne Van Hise- Fowles.

      2. Beth

She is so refreshing a personify after Ken Jennings wet dishcloth personna.

        1. JULIE L. MERRITT

Talk about wet dish cloth? Definitely, Miami did that category. So Richards made a few derogatory comments-Hasn’t everyone? He brought so much life back to the show!!! Miss you Mike!!!

          1. Thanks … you are so right. I stopped watching when they fired him…. This country of the woke. Are killing us! If we can’t have Mike she is the best 2nd choice….. Ken is AWFUL!

        2. I love her and her enthusiasm!

I think she helps put the contestants at ease a little and makes them feel she is happy they are there.

She is a breath of fresh air and a welcome change. NO ONE will EVER replace Alex Trebek, but I think he would approve of the job she is doing!

I think the network and the haters need to tone it down!

      3. Donna Easterday

I think people pick on stupid stupid s*** when they comment about the words she uses and I think she’s a total Delight! She has brought Style and confidence through this game and I think she should be applauded for it all! People should stop judging women

      4. Julie

What she said is spot on. I am so sick of men telling women how to talk, walk, behave, etc when they don’t even bother to check how THEY are…enough already sheesh!!!

      5. Get rid of her! Ken should be the the host. He’s been more professional! We don’t want or need gimmicks.

    2. I think she does not have to tune it down. She is the best host they have had on since Alex Trebek passed. Please keep her as the host. Much better than Ken Jennings.

      1. Faith

Don’t you think she has enough on her plate… She’ll be the tournament host, she has her TV show, she has her podcast, and now she’s a Director. Don’t you think she has enough jobs already? I personally like Ken Jennings much better and it irritates me to have somebody say his name in vain. Mayim Bialik does not need to be the full-time host of jeopardy. Just thinking that she wants that as well makes me realize how selfish she is. She has nowhere near the relationship with the game show that Ken Jennings has. My vote is with Ken Jennings.

        1. Kate

I agree. Share is fine. On the other hand, I sure get tired of watching Mayim in her varying shades of brown and green outfits….like watching someone’s older mum. Sorry but day after day it’s becoming too much. I do prefer her longer, slightly flipped hair. And I enjoy both Ken and her up beat, supporting attitudes. So glad Jeopardy is finding it’s way and still honoring Alex!

        2. Sue

          I totally agree!

        3. Faith, why is it so wrong for a woman in the industry to be successful in various aspects? Men do it all the time!
Ken wears many hats also! So your point?

        4. why is it so wrong for a woman in the industry to be successful in various aspects? Men do it all the time!
Ken wears many hats also! So your point?

      2. Fred

Wrong. Ken is better by far.

        1. David

we all have a special love for Ken because he was such a spectacular player.
But Mayim is a more comfortable pleasant personality. She is my first choice. And hopefully Ken can find a way to make millions more from his brilliant trivial mind.
To insult or belittle either of them is incomprehensible to me.

          1. JR

I agree. I much prefer her over Ken.

          2. Kait

Ken does not have a brilliant “trivial” mind. He’s brilliant with “trivia.”

        2. I am so disappointed that they chose her over Ken Jennings. I think he did a much better job and is part of Jeopardy.

        3. Warren D Miller

I agree 100%. I’ve been watching Jeopardy! for more than 35 years. There’s far less to Ms. Bialik than meets the eye. She’s awful.

          1. Kathy

I agree. I have watched it for years as well. That may end if they choose her.

        4. Cheryl McCaul Lewis

I can’t wait for Mayim to finish and leave. I want Ken back because he knows the answers. I don’t want a perky tv personality in ugly shoes. Just a person that is smart and doesn’t override the stars which are the guests.

          1. Donna

I agree. Turn it off when she hosts.

          2. Kathy

That’s my feelings about her. She just doesn’t have the personality for this show.

          3. W

            Bye bye…you won’t be missed.

      3. wandangel

I think people need to stop criticizing her constantly! I enjoy the show so much more when she hosts. Ken Jennings is so snarky and arrogant. Mayim is the best host since Alex’s passing. I have been a faithful viewer of “Jeopardy” from the very first show with Art Fleming as host. I am now 70 years old and it’s still my favorite show. PLEASE GIVE MAYIM THE PERMANENT JOB AS HOST! SHE MAKES THE SHOW BETTER.

        1. Kathy Ka

Both Mayim and Ken bring something to the table. To me I can see them asking her to tone it down. While enthusiastic, at times she sounds more like a mom saying Good Job to a 3 year old. Ken on the other hand has a very dry sense of humor and while some don’t get it he actually is more like Alex than most think, but no one wants to really replace Alex from our memories. They both have good qualities. I actually prefer Ken. He doesn’t make me feel like I am in grade school.

        2. Ccsthi

          I agree

        3. JR

          I totally agree

        4. Warren D Miller

I agree 100%. I’ve been watching Jeopardy! for more than 35 years. There’s far less to Ms. Bialik than meets the eye. She’s awful.

      4. Karen

Just Make the decision to keep Ken Jennings. Get rid of her

        1. Sandra Hedrick

          Yes!

        2. JR

          No……….please no…

        3. Jim

She is always acting cutesey. Half the time she is late responding when the contestent gives the right answer. It s like she doesn’t look up the answer until after the contestent responds. Ken Jennings is definitely superior!

          1. Debbie

I totally agree with you. Every time she is on we don’t watch. She does act too cutesy and also is degrading to the contestants at times. We prefer Ken and when they pick her as permanent host, we are done with Jeopardy.

          2. W

            Bye bye Debbie,

          3. Kathy

I agree. I have watched it for years as well. That may end if they choose her.

        4. Sheila

Ken Jennings is so much more like Alex. He brings a lot to the table. Get rid of her before you lose your audience. Me and 15 of our group do not watch when she’s hosting.

          1. Have to agree with you. Men’s voices are easier to understand. Prefer Ken Jennings. We too don’t watch when she is hosting.

        5. I think Mayim is perfect as the host! I love her excitement for the contestants.

        6. Kathy

That’s my feelings about her. She just doesn’t have the personality for this show.

      5. Chris

        She’s ok, But Ken Jennings
Brings a fresh perspective to the Jeopardy audience…
        Hope to Ken …

        1. Jean Montgomery

She is okay but too smug. I like Ken Jennings much more.

      6. Carole

I like her just the way she is

      7. Gmapat

        I agree❗️

      8. Michael

SHE’S NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING AS GOOD AS KEN Jennings

        1. Linda

As a life long Jeopardy fan, I find her to be silly and condescending to her guests. Why in the world the administration of the program can’t see this is beyond me. Ken Jennings is okay, but no where near the talent that Mike Richardson was. It’s a shame they couldn’t get over themselves and let the best man have the job.

      9. Linda

Mayim is a good host. However her singsong voice drives me up the wall. I think the problem is we are so used to her Amy Farrah Fowler demeanor that anything else sounds like an uproar.

      10. Barbara Balbera

I am tired of watching all the different hosts that have been on. I think she is the best person to take over hosting duties.
I enjoy watching her on Jeopardy and hope she is made the permanent host.

        1. Diana

Mayim gives life to the show and I enjoy watching when she is hosting. I don’t see any need for her to change. She is delightful.

      11. Sandy

I really enjoy her “banter” with the players. She speaks clearly and seems to enjoy herself. I also like Ken Jennings. He is relaxed – and also seems to enjoy talking to the players. Hope you keep them both!!!

      12. Paula

        So agree!

      13. Donna Easterday

        I TOTALLY AGREE

    3. Alexis

Absolutely! 100% I support her completely, and the Online fans of Jeopardy need to Tone Themselves down…Get a Life, it’s a TV show.

    4. Bill Shroyer

To be fair, it doesn’t sound so much like the network doing these things as it does a few obnoxious, whiney, crybaby “fans”. I could be wrong, that’s just the impression I got.

      1. Gmapat

        I enjoy her enthusiasm ❗️

      2. Paula

Mayim is so much better than Ken Jennings. She us doing an outstanding job!

    5. Hank

      Ken Jennings please.

      1. Sandra

First, get a stylist!! Dresses like she did on Big Bang! The woman acts like a silly schoolgirl.
        Keep Jen!

        1. Sandra Hedrick

She needs more than a stylist. She needs someone to teach her how to dress! Her jacket s are always too tight, and puts colors together that shouldn’t be! She moves her body too much, very distracting and irritating! She has 2 boys,13 & 16. They all sleep in the same bed together! They’re not allowed to go on the internet, or have cell phones, she’s vegan, so they are too. That’s only the tip of the iceberg. There’s a lot more.

          1. JR

            And we know this how???

          2. Joknows

Shes a vegan??? Oh my gawd!! Maybe DeSantis can pass a law not allowing anyone in school to talk about veganism!

          3. I fail to see or understand what her personal life has to do with her stage performance. Your comments on the sleeping habits of her children and her diet (which are really none of your business) have nothing to do with her performance on Jeopardy…they are merely a reflection of your own biases.

        2. MARCIE

She is an Orthodox Jew and thus dresses modestly in real life.

      2. Yes make Ken Jennings the full time host. Even Alex would agree.

    6. I think she is much better than Ken. She is positive and comes across not as a know it all like Ken. When Ken hosts and a contestant has a wrong answer he appears to come across as if – he knew the answer and how could the contestant have gotten that wrong! He has no excitement and is very boring. Has no personality!

    7. Mayim is the best bad. Give her a freaking break people how Petty. She’s perfect. Who cares what kind of clothes she wears or how she wears her hair. She’s exuding personality. It’s like finding fault with the new supreme Court woman they just voted in. They did. Give me a break. Go with the gal!

    8. Russell Spencer

I think Alex would not allow her to fill in. Ken Jennings handled it more like Alex did. Well off she is out now, good bye m

    9. June

She is good at what she does. What do you people want from her? She’s a human and her excitement is a good thing

    10. MARY

      I know, right?

    11. I’m happy she is the new host. I don’t think Ken Jennings has any personality, I don’t think I would have continued watching it if they had picked him.

    12. P. Gallaghef

Jennings is the one who should Tone it down!P

    13. You are SO right! I am amazed that some person with no clue about the questions that she READS nor about the answers can be hosting such an important contest! This is a shame for the minds! We would love to see her as one of the contestants. Really!

      1. Sorry but NO. He is the one who should be made permanent!

      2. Kathy

I agree. Sit where the contestants are and we will see. There were too many times she took too much time to answer and times when she should have said more information like Alex did. She cost players money.

    14. GARY I posted a reply to what you said! It is so disqualifying fir the contest. Ken J is the one who should be permanent. This is not a fashion parade nor a party with bad jokes and lack of basi knowledge

    15. Agree totally. I like her style.in

    16. Diane

I for do not care for her. I was not aware that she was hired for the new host. If this true, I will not be watching anymore.

    17. Dawn

      Brava!

    18. I don’t understand what she’s doing to warrant a riff to” tone it down”. Mayim is very professional, warm and gracious to all contestants, and a great listener. I don’t understand all the disparaging remarks about her personality on the show. Mayim is also funny. In my opinion she’s doing a great job. I think it’s great that Mayim and Ken Jennings share the job. Toxic and negative need to get a life.

    19. Cheryl

I like Mayim and I do not understand why you want her to tone down her positivity.

    20. Lori

Agree! I wonder if they asked Ken Jennings to tone it up. He’s so boring.

    21. TG

Next they will say she is too dull and monotonous

  2. Melissa

She is sounding like a robot now! Good grief people.

    1. Renee

She’s in her rhythm now. She’s very good hosting Jeopardy. Let her be who she is as the primary host…but, I do like seeing former champions step in to host every once in awhile for a week or so.

      1. JR

        I love her personality…..

      2. Sorry but NO. This is not a party show. It is a place where bright mibds and knowledgeable people come or watch. Bad uncalled for jokes and lack of basic knowledge is a shame. Reading from notes???!!!.NOOOO

    2. wandangel

We’ll have to agree to disagree on that! Mayim is thousands of times better..

  3. Kay Lowe

    I Love her enthusiasm ❤❤❤

    1. Terry

Mayim for host! I lked Ken jJennings—as the supreme contestant! But please continue to send us Mayim. If Mike Richards had not had skeletons in his closet he had the just right tone and positive ,knowledgeable presence. Mayim has provided a “bright” side to a very entertaining show. I would think Ken’s greatest value would be working behind the scenes to maintain a stable operation, or continue with other high roller winners in some what different show where they show their strengths in what they know.

      1. Barbara

Well said I liked Mike Richard’s the best too. Disappointed he bowed out. I prefer Mayim but the occasional guest host works for me. Don’t like Ken

  4. Suzanne

Leave her alone and let her do her job.

    1. Joseph Kirchner

      She’s naturally buoyant and enthusiastic.
      I love her style!

      1. Mary

        Totally agree❣️

  5. I agree totally. She doesn’t connect with the players, forceful is one thing, irritating is another. She adds info to their answers on every question, like a know-it-all.She hesitates before she says “correct”, which must be nerve wracking for them!

    1. beekay

You are clearly in the minority, Pam.

    2. Randi

Amen! Ken Jennings has a lisp that is getting worse to the point his answers are unintelligible! I think mayim is much warmer with the contestants than ken – please keep her!

      1. Bruce

I agree totally. Hate his lisp. Hate the way he tells people ‘No!’ when they get an answer wrong as if he knew it and they are stupid to not know it.
Alex didn’t seem like he knew every answer and we all loved his style.

    3. Deb

Totally agree with you. She has to go. Brings nothing positive to the show.

      1. Barb

What I would like to see is less upper body movement which I think is a distraction.

    4. Kate

I notice these reactions too sometimes. More supportive, less a participant.

    5. Paula Englert

I think she is fantastic as the host of Jeopardy! I love her enthusiasm. She is very smart herself and I love the comments she adds to some answers.

      1. JR

        Yes

    6. I find her timing with confirming the answers VERY frustrating. She is very patterned and rather boring in her know it all additions to the answers. Obvious she’s reading these enhancements because she just doesn’t display the confidence of ad libbed repartee. Much prefer Ken.

      1. Kathy

100% agree. Ken is much better.

    7. Leslie

      Agree 100% Pam!

    8. Patti

I like Ken much better. I actually hoped Buzzy would get it. Mayim seems very scripted to me. I don’t feel like she’s too excited or that she needs to “tone it down,” I just wish she’d loosen up and not speak like a robot.

      1. Becky

I was really rooting for Buzzy, too.
Mayim is ok but Ken is too stiff.

    9. IHAVE TO AGREE. NOT AFAN OF MAYIM BIALIK. I FIND HER TO BE STIFF AND CONDESCENDING PLUS SHE LETS THINGS SLIDE ALEX NEVER WOULD HAVE ALLOWED. JUST THE NIGHT BEFORE LSST SOMEONE MISPRONOUNCED SOMETING AND REALIZED QUICKLY RESAYING THE WORD AND SHE PASSED IT THROUGH. KEN JENNINGS DOES THE SAME THING I JUST LIKE HIM BETTER ALTHOUGH TO BE HONEST I DON’T REALLY CARE FOR EITHER.

  6. beekay

Too many Jeopardy! fanatics are upset that Ken “Heir to the Throne” Jennings wasn’t chosen as the permanent host. Too bad. I find him to be stiff and aloof. I much prefer Ms. Bialek. Don’t let the turkeys get you down, Mayim.

    1. Lynn

Totally agree, Ken is stiff and a man should have a calming lower voice. Ken’s voice is too high pitched, not soothing and too fast. A moderate tone on a man sounds so much better. Mayim is perfect, more relaxed and genuinely enthusiastic. She feels like the aunt everyone would want. She does not clip her words or talk so fast that you can’t understand her. Watching her different outfits everyday is more fun than watching a matched set of tie and handkerchief. Her personality is a breath of fresh air. Ken earned fans because he won not because he’s a good host. Give us Mayim, the new breath of fresh air! She really acts like she has fun and that’s what it’s all about isn’t it? This is a smart, entertaining quiz show, let her breathe in a fresh new attitude.

      1. JR

I totally agree with you. I pray they make her the permanent host. She is so much better than Ken

  7. kw

Hopefully, she’ll soon have no job. She’s a simple little stooge that is nothing but a so-called “actor” on fOXY TV. Geez.. get a life, people. You really want someone like this wing-nut? She can’t even play the game. Not at all like Ken Jennings.

    1. Joe

If Ken becomes the permanent host, I am done with Jeopsrdy.

    2. Alexis

Stooge? With a PHD in the Sciences, acting experience , durecting, a podcast all under her belt…And a marries Mom?
      Jealous much are you?
Who’s the stooge – you are!

    3. Kathy

I record a lot and watch it later so I have to hear her a minimum.

  8. PattiD

I love Mayim Bialik’s enthusiasm, her smiles and presentation! Her added comments are no different from Alex’s or Ken’s added tidbits of information following an answer. And her smiles and engagement with the contestants is more like Alex’s than Ken’s, who comes across stern and at times looks stoic and unhappy. Absolutely prefer her style over Ken’s! She’s like a breath of fresh air!

    1. Judy

We always watch and have for years, but when she is hosting I no longer watch. Can’t stand her mannerisms. Didn’t like Ken at first but he is growing on me. He knows the game. I say stick with Ken.

      1. wandangel

Judy…yeah…he does grow on people…like slimy mold!

      2. My feelings exactly!

  9. Elaine

Well, I guess my Jeopardy watching just came to a screeching halt. Cannot stand this woman! Oh well!

  10. Jeanette Smith

First, it is a game. Let’s keep perspective. Second, Mayim is doing a fantastic job and instead of channel surfing I am watching the entire show. Your doing great Mayim!

  11. Anni

She is my choice for permanent host!! The other replacement, Ken, is just emcee material. He is too full of himself while Ms M is much more personable!!!

    1. Julie Rose

We all absolutely love Mayim Bialik as host of Jeopardy (and in no way should she “tone it down”). She always strikes just the right tone with the contestants and never seems like a know-it-all when she states the answer. We much prefer her to Ken Jennings.

      1. Fred

Wrong. Ken is better by far.

      2. Jw

        She’s dorky

      3. JR

Right on…..she is perfect for the job

  12. Anni

Sorry he is NOT emcee worthy. My mistake

  13. Pat

She is awesome and at least shows the show is alive
I cannot believe the big issues this show has had to replace the announcer. Shows change all the time.
What a joke. Makes me not want to watch anymore.

  14. Jake

Can’t watch when shes on. But it seems she enlisted all her friends to pad the comment space so you people will probably get stuck with her

    1. wandangel

Jake, I am pretty sure most of us don’t know her personally, nor does she need to “pad” anything. She is the right host for the job. You sound like a misogynist.

      1. Alex

Taking people being labeled misogynist out of the equation, I don’t mind it when she hosts but I personally feel she can come on too strong. She also seems to have a habit of being repetitive. Say what you will about Ken Jennings but, at least IMHO, the game has a much smoother flow when he’s hosting. Plus he ad libs better than Mayim, something I never thought I’d say about anyone who lacks prior hosting experience. He also has a better connection with the contestants, since he was one himself. And even Alex seemed he’d be an ideal pick to be his successor, though I still would’ve given his own personal choices, Alex Faust and Laura Coates, a fighting chance. Mayim is good and all but with her wanting the job so badly, it almost feels a bit like the Mike Richards thing again. Only difference is she doesn’t seem as zealous and opportunistic about it as he was. Honestly, if Meredith Vieira wasn’t contracted to 25 Words or Less, she’d have been a great successor to Alex. Both Mayim and Ken have pros and cons but Ken personally has my vote. But that’s just my own take. If we can agree to disagree, well, that’s much better than playing keyboard wars.

  15. DeeGee

Our society has been too slow and backward about recognizing women are not strident or overbearing or enthusiastic anymore than men are. Carol Burnett spoke in her book about quickly learning she had to lead very carefully to avoid seeming too bossy or abrasive in running her own show. Forty-plus years later affirmation of equality between men and women still has a long way to go. Let women do their jobs without this kind of judgement. It isn’t like Ms. Bialak is untrained as an actress (or neuroscientist for that matter).

    1. Paco

Every night she hosts, i just.kind of cringe. She comes across as a smug know-it-all. If I didn’t love the show itself so much, I’d never bother watching.

      1. Same here! I’m having a very difficult time with her🙄

      2. Please tell me she is not the permanent host. She is obnoxious and know it all

      3. Kathy

Does the same with me. If they wanted a woman, give us omeone with the right personality.

  16. Marge V

Congratulations Mayim. Her mannerisms are sociable and make the players relax. The viewers need to enjoy the program and let people who r behind the scenes use their positions to put the show for the viewers to enjoy

  17. Bill C

Night and day, wow. Kinda like Washington. You agin her or for her. And never the two shall meet. Count me on the get rid of her. She doesn’t engage with contestants, reads the card, asks the question and doesn’t listen to the answer a lot of times making a socially acceptable response but often showing she didn’t hear what they said. Her pause to say correct, and it’s gotten to the point where it is either yes or correct, not much else, is pregnant to an extreme. If I were a contestant I’d go bonkers. She giggles at in appropriate times and too frequently adds to the answer. A few of these are okay, but too many takes time from the contestants, who don’t always finish the board with her. Her jerky jerky motions are distracting to say the least. And her online positions on some matters are ill advised, such as vaccines. She has toned it down, she used to be way over the top, like it was Family Feud. And that is not because she is a woman. It’s because she was overacting and totally distracting from the game. This is not about her, this is about the three contestants. If she is the permanent host, I am done with 35+ years of watching. Ken was not my favorite at the start, but he had grown and I am happy with him now.

    1. I totally agree with EVERYTHING you’ve said 100%‼

  18. Jan

Keep Mayim as host. Much more personable than Jennings
    .

  19. Mary

I love her, I just wish she’d get a decent stylist. Her clothing choices are atrocious atrocious, although I’ve really loved her hair this week….

  20. Jperalrs

They are just jealous!!! She’s doing great… nothing is wrong with her “tone”. She’s not loud 📢📢📢 or boisterous…
I love her and I hope she she stays on!!

  21. Debbie

No one will ever really replace Alex Trebek. I like both of them. Nothing wrong with enthusiasm and Mayim doesn’t have to apologize for being knowledgeable. Ken is good too and his record still stands.

  22. Adrisn Boganey

It’s not a WOMSN thing, it’s a PERSONSLITY thing! MB needs to take it slow down about 3 notches. All the wiggling & twitching is distracting & unnecessary.

  23. Adrisn Boganey

The sutocorrect on this website >s a disraction.

    1. wandangel

Obviously the distraction is your typing. No one else seems to have a problem with it…except when Ken’s name appears as being the “better host”! I can’t tolerate his snarkiness and record the show so I can fast-forward through his comments.

  24. Regina L

I think she’s doing a great job as host of Jeopardy.
I wish she gets the job permanently.

    1. wandangel

      Regina L, I agree 1,000%!!!

  25. Damian Ramos

I love MB. She Needs to be permanent! Kens good. And people like him because of his past with show. Not sure what’s wrong with a little bit of enthusiasm!?! Do the right thing Jeopardy Brass. Thank you.

  26. Bruce

Ms. Bialyk is a professional actress, PhD, and a very personable host. She has depth and gravitas and has expressed the desire to be THE host of jeopardy. What ever she does will be a plus for the show. Let her develop the way Alex Trebec did over the years.

  27. Bill Shroyer

So some whiney, crybaby “fans” are mad because she’s not Alex. Too bad. I love both her and Ken “as-is”, even though they’re very different types of hosts. And if someone else came in who had their own style and was a good host on top of that, I’d love them, too. People aren’t clones or automatons, for crying out loud. We have personalities. This should be celebrated, not squelched.

  28. Ralph

    Tone it down.
    Yes please

    1. I Am Bewildered As To Why KEN JENNINGS Wasn’t Selected For The Permanent JEOPARDY Host Spot !!! Besides, Mayim

      1. *[Excuse the sudden stop of my previous comment.]*

        As I Was Saying . . .
Mayim B. Has Told Us In Her Commercial, That She Is A REAL Nuclear Physicist, A Scientist, So WHY DOESN’T SHE HAVE BIGGER FISH TO FRY, Like Researching And Developing Something In The Nuclear Field To Help/Improve Mankind ? ! ? ALSO, I Would Think Jeopardy Producers Have A VESTED Interest in KEN JENNINGS Given His INCREDIBLE Original Run On JEOPARDY, AND THE FACT THAT HE WON THE BEST OF ALL TIME, In The Last CONTEST OF THE CHAMPIONS !!!! I’d Want To Make A Fellow Like That PART Of THE FABRIC OF JEOPARDY !!! I Mean , WHAT MORE CAN I SAY⁉️

  29. CeeBee

I think Myalim brings some positive energy and enthusiasm to the show. I know that people worshipped Alex Trebeck but I found him sometimes condescending when contestants got the answers wrong. Myalim treats the contestants respectfully and brings some excitement to the show.

  30. Jane

She is doing a great job. She is a good representation for women and girls…plus men to see what a woman can do in life. Ken is fine but boring. If she is removed it will only go to show you men are threatened by her success. Yay Mayim

  31. Debra Rusovick

Love her. She is personable and a great host. Stop being so critical, people!!!!

  32. Ann

I think between Ken and herself makes it interesting. She’s smart intelligent is a neuro scientist.
There’s always someone in the pack that won’t agree. Just enjoy the show and learn something. 🌹

  33. Eve

Thank God someone is trying to do something about Mayim Bialik. Her voice is so grating and her manner so inappropriate I almost cannot watch the show! I am a long time Jeopardy fan. If they wanted a woman to host they should have chosen someone better. Her giggling and bursts of enthusiasm is infantile. It lowers the tone of the show. I wish they would make Ken Jennings the permanent host. He’s so much better. He is a true successor to Alex Trebek.

    1. Yes Indeed‼️ I Totally Agree With Your Every Word❗️I Can’t Fantom Why KEN JENNINGS Wasn’t Selected For The Permanent JEOPARDY HOST Spot !!! ? ! ?

  34. I agree love her personality, Alex Trebek was sociable and pleasant as Mayim is!

  35. Want her to tone it down ??
Take her off the show !! She is terrible and thinks she is allowed to do what she wants and say what she wants !? Now her excuse is because she’s “a woman” … Knock it off ! Get her off the show now !! She can go back to her unfounded claims on commercials and ridiculous “comedy” show. Call her Cat ? How about Catty !!

  36. Carol

You’re never going to please everyone no matter who is chosen for the job. Personally I am not a fan of Bialik as tje Jeopardy host. Nothing against her personally, I just prefer Ken Jennings.

  37. A marvelous job she does,Mayim. Her responses make her a genuine person!
I say to her keep on you’re refreshing the show.

  38. Tammy

Mayim is not Alex. There never will be another Alex. You have to accept it and go on with life. Mayim is the best out of all the others or she wouldn’t be there to begin with. I love her and the new life she brings to the show. Let Mayim be Mayim. Viewers are smarter than you think – you should not suppress her personality – that is wrong and the viewers will sense it.

  39. Arminda

She is adequate, but her heart just isn’t in it.

As a long time viewer, the awkward pauses so she can accept an answer she doesn’t know is painful. As is the habit of stating the whole name when a contestant answer with a surname only. It disrupts the competitive pace.

It’s past time to select Ken as the official host.

  40. Vicki Anderson

Please Please don’t change Mayim enthusiasm.. We have been watching Jeopardy forever. We love Mayim. I really think Ken isn’t good for the show. Please keep her!!

  41. Diana

I think she’s fantastic! Leave her alone.

  42. nico

I think the real problem with her is that she is a woman and not a man. God forbid a woman hosts a game show that was always hosted by a man. I like her. She brings a fresh face once in a while. PEOPLE NEED TO LIGHTEN UP! Welcome to the new days. If you don’t like it, don’t watch.

  43. I don’t like her. I’ve never liked her as replacement for Alex. She’s too full of herself! She DOES need to tone it down. I would LOVE to see her replaced. Would like Ken Jennings back…or ANYONE ELSE‼ She’s a woman… so WHAT??? Just because she’s a female dies not ENTITLE HER.
I’m extremely disappointed in her getting this job. We’ve watched Jeopardy since its inception, but I no longer enjoy it with Myam.

  44. Sandy Weeks-Hopkins

I think she is doing a GREAT job hosting!! She is the best host yet since Alex. She is much better than Ken Jennings. I tune out when he is hosting. His actions when people miss seems condescending at times with his know it all attitude. Keep Mayim as permanent host, she is bright and bubbly, much needed in these trying times.

  45. Tinky

I’m glad I’m not either one of them because you idiots will never be happy. It’s a game show people.

  46. John Baluk

    She is GREAT PERIOD!

  47. Sandy

People are so crazy these days and definitely take a joke or find humor in anything. Just be miserable and condemn others hard work. Mayim, just keep doing what you are doing and if others want to find fault…they can watch something else or nothing.

  48. Barbara Robarts

Although I was rooting for Ken Jennings, I think Mayim is doing a great job. She does not need to ” tone it done”. Let her person and enthusiasm shine

  49. Debbie

Agreed!!! Ken in so much better. I love Mayim but I do not like Jeopardy Mayim at all. This is not for her. If I was not so addicted to watching everyday I would STOP watching until Ken comes back.

  50. Ellen Nash

I love her! She’s done a great job, love her new look ( hair) and happy ways.

  51. Diane

Tone it down? I view her enthusiasm as an encouragement to the contestants. Her upbeat personality is refreshing. Ken Jennings is on another game show called The Beast and his smart-alec remarks to the contestants is horrible. Although he is more polite as a host on Jeopardy, I cannot get past his snippy behavior on The Beast. Jeopardy would do well to tell Jennings to make a chouce…either The Beast or Jeopardy because his behavior on The Beast leaves a bad impression!

  52. Laura

We all miss Alex, and his wonderfully concise and toned down persona. After all this is a show for everyone but especially enjoyed by intellects.
But I did want to point out that Alex did not fight a “long bout with cancer”. He lived 20 months after the diagnosis, which might be longer than others at that stage four diagnosis, but not a “long time”.
And of course we all wish he was still with us hosting the show.

  53. Sylva

Bring back KEN JENNINGS!!! Problems solved. He’s so much better and was who Alex wanted!

  54. Kait

Mayim is pleasant, but not a natural host. Her slight pauses before telling a contestant that their answer was right or wrong drive me crazy. Ken, on the other hand, is a natural. His relationships with contestants are supportive and support their unique personalities. I’m definitely Team Ken.

  55. Dave S

I love her just as she is. Her excitement adds to the show. I prefer her over Ken, he is a little to dry and adds less emotion that Alex used to so if they go with one I would prefer her or keep splitting the show as they have been.

  56. She’s the only host that doesn’t say ” The answer is” before the daily double is revealed.

  57. Dorothy

I think she does a great job! And enjoy when she adds info to the answer, as I am getting more knowledge too. Dorothy

  58. I love her. She is happy and fun to watch
Ken is nice but I prefer Mayim!

  59. KARLA

Guess what!!! I was watching a VERY old episode of Saturday Night Live and they did a skit about “single” jeopardy. What ever happened to research BEFORE putting the article out? So people want to call attention to themselves and maybe get on TV or their pic in the magazine. What’s new??? You’re just playing into their hands and, sooner than later, you’ll be in too deep.

    1. What a bunch of jealous and petty people. Mayim is constantly being criticized about everything. Her clotbes, her hair how she talks, walks, you name it. Leave her alone and, you yourself, should get a life. Oh, and it certainly is single jeopardy if there is a double Jeopardy.

  60. Susan Reece

I don’t agree! Contestants and people at home alike get excited, so why shouldn’t the host or hostess?

  61. Susan Reece

And what’s wrong with Single Jeopardy? The second round is Double the amount….thus, the first was Single Jeopardy, was it not? Some people don’t have enough to complain about apparently.

  62. Gordon

Male chauvinist good ole boys club she is absolutely delightful I vote for her full time over stuff shirt Jennings

  63. Mary Oberts

    I enjoy Mayim’s exuberance!

  64. Tone it down?!? That is ridiculous! Mayim is doing an AMAZING JOB! The contestants are so relaxed with Mayim’s way of hosting. I think she is doing a terrific job!

    1. Annmarie O'Toole

Absolutely ridiculous. She’s just brilliant on Jeopardy. She’s smart, funny and real. She doesn’t need to “tone it down”! What does even mean? Huh?

  65. Flo

She is an excellent host! Not a bore like Ken. It’s an exciting game why can’t we have a little excitement from the host. If Alex Trebek was younger he would have had more excitement too. I’m sure the rating will show how good she is… get off her back!

  66. Marcia

I think she is great! And why not show excitement for these contestants on the show? It’s not like she favors any one in particular, but roots for them all ! As for K. Jennings…UGH! I change the channel when I hear he’s the host. He is boorish and looks like he thinks he’s better than everybody. No toleration for that, even if it’s only 30 minutes. GO MAYIM! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

    1. I agree 100%

  67. Deb

I don’t know who told her that, but to me it means just another way to silence women. I love when she gets excited. We’re not watching chess or golf!

  68. June

She is good at what she does. What do you people want from her? She’s a human and her excitement is a good thing

    1. OMG! She has some spunk, she’s polite and entertaining…better than glum Ken Jennings .. he lacks a personality.

    2. I agree!!!!!

  69. Annmarie O'Toole

Absolutely ridiculous. She’s just brilliant on Jeopardy. She’s smart, funny and real. She doesn’t need to “tone it down”! What does even mean? Huh?

  70. Kathleen Bishop

I think Ken Jennings is the more professional host. At least he doesn’t hold on to the podium (like he’s going to fall down), and just swings his body around .

  71. Evelyn Eaglin

I refused to watch the game show anymore. She was a poor choice.

  72. M

From the very beginning of choosing Jeopardy hosts…the alleged number of disparaging comments has made it obvious that someone has an ulterior motive in setting someone else up for failure. Report after report of “fans up in arms” about Mayim Bialik being a horrible host for very petty reasons has made it very obvious that Ken Jennings is setting her up so he can look good and become the permanent host. That type of behavior seldom works and in the end serves to gain the perpetrator disrespect. At the beginning i was open to either one. But now? No thank you to Ken Jennings and his group of fans. The total fiasco during this decision process saddens me.

  73. Linda

I understand what is.being said and completely understand and agree. Replacing Alex Trebec is difficult but in my opinion Ken Jennings is the best person for the Job. In Alex’s memory. It should be someone similar to him. I enjoy watching Ken much more. And I’m not the only one that feels that way

    1. Paul B

In Alex’s memory, you should get his name right: Trebek.

  74. Elana Hanson

I want to tear my hair out every time Bialek is on!!! I’m 70 & have watched Jeopardy my entire life. If you keep this woman on I will have to stop watching my favorite show! Ken Jennings is as close to Alex as we could ever get!

    1. So don’t be yourself? Mayim doesn’t need to change a thing. These Jeopardy people are messy af! Mayim is bringing light to this darkness of behind the scenes ridiculousness.

    2. I Share Your Feelings On That Point. She’s Proud, And It Shows, To MY Eyes !!

  75. Ali G

I think both Mayim B & Ken J are excellent in their own style. As for “toning it down”, it’s a ridiculous idea. The excitement should generate even more interest from the audience. Let Bialik be herself, and I hope they continue to be co–hosts – makes it that much more interesting!

  76. Jo Ann

Mayim is by far the best host they have tried. Ken is smart but so vanilla and lifeless. She has personality and makes the show much more interesting. We will never replace Alex so don’t even try. Let’s do something new.

  77. Sue

    Wow, Sandra,
    Could
    you be any more judgmental?

  78. Michele H.

Mayim Bialek is just fine! She has a winning personality, puts contestants at ease…please be happy that she doesn’t drone on and on as others do.

  79. Melanie

Stop putting us throw this just hire Ken and be done with it. You hire Mayim and I’m done with the show along with a lot of other people. She is so fake and new hair style and clothes don’t change her

  80. Susie-Q

I just scrolled through this entire list of comments looking for the word Disney. … I’m just wasting time on ITM.

  81. Dee

I can’t stand her as host. I love Ken and agree that with his ties to the show he’s a much better choice.

  82. Robert Caminiti

Tone it up with a nicer wardrobe and lose the professorial tweedy look. Mayim has so much on her plate that Guest Hosting for some Jeopardy Tournaments would be fine and leave the permanent Host duties to Ken Jennings. There is no need for either of them to ‘tone it down’!

  83. Rose

Mayim Bialik doesn’t need to make any adjustments on Jeopardy. I say that she has a very nice balance❣

  84. Marjorie

Tone down what ? Should she just stand there like Ken Jennings ? She is the BEST ! 🐶🐶

  85. Peony

I find her tics and twitches and body movements so distracting that I no longer watch. Am waiting until Ken comes back.

  86. Michelle

Dunno where fashion comes into it, with all these comments. Never seen a guy’s suit color or shoe style being called in to question, but I guess here we are. Keep rockin in Mayim, you’re doing great.

  87. Name Required

She’s an actor, she takes cues from her “fellow performers”. I like her enthusiasm and support, it’s as if we were all there in person. I like Ken Jennings too but he seems distant. I know they crank out several shows a day, her involvement seems to help the contestants.

  88. Dean Bush

I like Miyam, and I think she’s doing an outstanding job on Jeopardy. No one should ask her to tone it down. She adds excitement to the show!

    1. Paul B

      Mayim.

  89. Albert Wing

Her timing is impeccable. The years of Miyams’ thespian experience is paying off. I do like Ken as well, just different strokes for different folks…

    1. Paul B

      Mayim.

  90. Tim

Maybe a more interesting question now is: “Just how out-of-touch are these Jeopardy producers”. We have a new host; now can we get fresh bodies into the management positions?

  91. Alex

    She’s gotta go.

  92. Paul B

The author of the article lost credibility with me when she got the last name of the “controversial” Jeopardy! host-for-a-week wrong. It’s Richards, not Richardson.

  93. Brian

Though no one could ever replace Alex, she is the far better choice to be at the lectern…no disrespect to Ken, but she has the stage presence and on-camera experience that he lacks. And btw, no need to tone anything down, her personality comes through to the contestants in a sincere and engaging manner.

  94. Cherie

She is a GREAT hostess !! Just because she is female and we are more emotional is not bad !!! Leave her the way it is…she makes it more fun to watch while engaging ourselves in the program. What is wrong with people anyway…back off !!!!

  95. Neil

She is unwatchable! Total deal breaker! Get her OFF so I can watch the show again. She is awful!!

  96. Patti

Mayim should be her enthuastic positive self. No one should tell another to “tone it down”. That is just another way of saying shut up and sit down.

  97. Patti

Mayim be your self. Telling anyone to “tone it down” is actually saying shut up and sit down. Ignore it and keep shining.

  98. Dawn Fratangelo

I think Mayim Bialik is absolutely PERFECT for the Hosting Job of Jeopardy. Most of the production entity at #Jeopardy involve males. That entity of mostly men should become even with females in the same production entity. If that specific entity doesn’t realize from watching their own show, these men are blind & terribly misguided.
Jeopardy #NEVER fixed the problem of hiring MORE FEMALES when Alex Trebeck was host.
Get a Grip Jeopardy Producers. Hire EVEN MORE Women.

  99. Jack in Burbank

Oh BS! Go Mayim! It’s about time “Jeopardy” had a little life and emotion. Jeep doing what you’re doing. Love you.

  100. Susie

Some of these comments are nasty and appalling. I’m sure those of you with razor tongues, you know who you are, frequently hide behind your computer screens as you rip perfectly lovely people apart. Shame on you.

  101. Mary

I think she does a great job and is much more entertaining and engaging than Ken Jennings. I enjoy her excitement and positivity toward the contestants. If anything Ken should be asked to be more engaging and less monotonous

  102. Beatrice

I don’t find her voice easy to listen to. It’s, to me, all about her as if she’s still acting in a sitcom.. I don’t think she gets it that she is part of a team. This show takes everyone working together. I notice how she denegrates people. Very judgmental. It so blatant everytime someone gives an answer whether the answer is correct or not. Alex or Ken never make anyone feel anything less than welcome. Her negative attitude towards people will definitely affect their performance and ultimately the success of the show. When I watch her Im stymied how she ever got this far into that job. She’s so snidely rude to the contestants. To me she comes of as ‘the little ms. Bossy boots’. Alec is spinning in his grave….it’s painful to watch her…that job calls for a smooth and nonjudgmentally confident emcee. Ken is growing into it every show…

  103. Nancy

I like her delivery. Her enthusiasm makes watching more fun. She sounds smart and amiable, not cold and robotic like Jennings.

Her physical appearance needs a tweak or two. Her hair looks great now. Some of her clothes are not flattering to her body type. Some of her outfits make her look either frumpy or, at the other extreme, overdressed. She seems to be searching for a “look,” and I think she’ll find it.

Does she have to wear glasses? What does she look like with contacs? She doesn’t need glasses to make her look smart. She is obviously smart.

  104. Linda

I really enjoy her! She’s smart, professional and very cheerful!
Hope she stays on as long as she can!

  105. Nicole

Mayim should just leave! She’s a terrible host.

  106. Jacque

I love her. She is my favorite and I hope she gets to continue being the host. She does not need to tone it down!

  107. Mira8

This woman is annoying on Jeopardy, she’s annoying in her sitcom, she’s annoying on her commercials. She’s just annoying in everything.

  108. Sharon

Who said, tone it down? Obviously they’re Not as intelligent as her, stupid…

  109. Melissa L Colon

I say pump it up!!! So I don’t fall asleep… She’s doing great!!! It’s 2022 guy come on…. R.i.p Mr.T ….. No disrespect but new hostess… New attitude!!! Duh! We love you… Keep being more of you!!!💕

  110. Lin

My husband & I have watched Jeopardy for years. Never missed a show. Sorry to say with her hosting we will no longer watch the show.
