America Chavez is one of least popular Marvel characters that came out of the All New All Different era . In fact nearly all of them were unpopular with the exceptions of Miles Morales and to some extent Ms Marvel . Characters like Ms America, Iron Heart and Amadeus Cho( the Asian Hulk ) all failed to catch on with the readership yet we are seeing them brought into the MCU ( apart from the Asian Hulk that is ) . Maybe they will be handled better in live action .
As for LGBTQ representation . It shouldn’t be in any film or show aimed at children which is why they should automatically receive a PG17 rating .
America Chavez is not a popular character, she is in fact the most hated character Marvel has ever made. The young actress doesn’t deserve to be threaten or hated just because she plays a character that is hated the whole world over for being not just a horrid tokenism but for also being a huge Mary Sue. She did a good job as an actress.
