I’m hoping that Voyage Of The Little Mermaid is soon on the chopping block. Ariel already has a whole section of New Fantasyland dedicated to herself. Also, The Tomorrowland Speedway takes up WAY too much real-estate! Trash it!

  2. Marcus

Yep. Every attraction named is a waste of space and needs to go. Except Splash Mountain which really doesn’t need a woke redo. And there is really nothing to do with the Country Bear Jamboree space so why not keep it?

Voyage of the Little Mermaid is NOT coming back. The water inside the pool in the building has caused massive amounts of mold to grow unchecked during the pandemic shutdown. .

Imagine sitting in a seat only to have a nice mold stain on your shorts when you leave. Yeh, that’s magical. The place needs to be gutted and cleaned before Disney can even think about putting guests in there.

  4. Gas guzzling cars– hahaha. An iconic ride, been there forever but will fAll to the woke group of clowns who dont realize that there is an older generation that truly enjoys “older” rides because it reminds us of “better days” when there was no talk of “green”, no talk of “gender equity” or no talk of “equality” JUST plain simple family fun and common sense…i guess those days are long gone as well as the thought process of making sure WDW caters to working class families- just look at todays prices of everything associated with Disney today.

Oh you mean “better days” when there was more smog in the air? That hurts everybody????

Honestly, I would love the change to something electric and I would not consider myself at the forefront of the green movement. The only reason would be that it would make things quieter and more peaceful when walking through that area.

I agree Nathan. Besides, I only rode the Speedway once 18 years ago and it is one of those attractions I have no desire to try again. There are just some attractions that just need updating even sometimes the classics. Though I still would argue that Splash Mountain could be left alone with maybe some minor updates. Song of the South may be insensitive, but I also think there are more stereotypes of rednecks on the ride that most people just don’t don’t care about.

Splash Mountain needs to be left alone; keep the history.
The Speedway definitely needs an update.
Unfortunately The Bear Jamboree has been losing popularity for a long time.
I never liked the Little Mermaid.
Disney needs to bring back The Great Movie Ride and the Backlot Tour.

I agree with everything you said especially bringing back the Great Movie Ride. Only make it better with updated figures. The runaway railway ride just stinks and doesn’t even fit the theme of the building. My kid actually said that last part.

Do away with Genie+ this is a nightmare

Woke Marxist Disney No thanks! What’s next reshape the Matter Horn into the Kremlin!! KMA not my $$ better spent on P80.

The article mentions animatronics in Voyage of the Little Mermaid. I don’t recall any animatronics. All of the characters were puppetry, with the exception of the two main characters. Perhaps this necessity for entertainment CM’s to run the attraction explains the closing. Someone mentioned a pool of water in the attraction causing mold. There was no pool, but there was a very unique feature that included misting and green lasers creating a wave effect, and would raise toward the ceiling to mimic your adventure under the sea. Mold was a constant concern because of this.

Is it not enough that the Country Bears were taken out of D-land?? Now they might leave Florida too???? One of the original, classic Magic Kingdom attractions, and one of my main reasons for going there. That one must stay. Period.

    1. Nate

Yawn. That place has had it. You must be one of the few that still go there. Not worth it to Disney IMO to keep it open for the few, unless they have nothing else to put there.

  9. Mike

Bring back..If you had wings!! It was my favorite growing up and at the time was free to ride….something unheard of at Disney today !!!

  10. Ken Brenner

Keep Splash Mountain – there is NOTHING racist about those cute animals we see during the ride. This is more wokeism that Disney leaders are not courageous enough to ignore.
Keep the cars, it’s a Disney staple.

I THINK ONE OF THE WATERPARKS WILL SHUT DOWN TO BUILD A NEW ONE . THERE IS ALOT OF NEW WATERPARK IN THE AREA AND DISNEY IS LOSING PEOPLE TO THEM WATERPARKS

    1. Lisa

Good. Reduce the crowd size at the water parks. I’m not leaving the bubble.

I only rode the speedway once after several visits, back in 2019. What a horribly boring, rough ride. They could totally make an electric go kart track themed to sugar rush (wreck it Ralph) or Cars and would be so much more of a hit AND take up a smaller footprint.
I think that splash and bugs life suffer the same fate – no one remembers those movies.

Please replace Aerosmith with a Cruella theme.

  14. Harriett

My 1 year old grandson would be sad to see Country Bear Jamboree close. We took him a few weeks ago and he laughed, clapped, and bounced the entire time. Actually, his reaction was the best part!

  15. WLO

Splash Mountain should stay; however the re-theme would not be bad either Tiana needs recognition. Please keep the country bear jamboree classic it’s Disney at its best! All else can go. A fast paced Cruella De vil car ride would be Awesome. Great idea!
