  1. We went to Tony’s for the first time in 2020. It was not good. Totally lacking in flavor. Olive Garden was better. Disney restaurants are expensive which means they should try harder!

Pretty much all of Disney is overpriced. I had dinner at Be Our Guest a few weeks ago and we loved it. I’ve been there four times now and loved every experience, including the food.

We all know that Disney is over priced especially the food. When you stay on property and don’t have a car, you have to eat the food there.

That being said we’ve been going to Disney World since 2009 every single year sometimes 2 times a year.

Honestly, when it comes to the food everybody’s opinion is going to be different. Surprisingly, even though the general opinion of Tony’s Town square is more negative we’ve actually had some very good meals there and the same with Coral Reef.

I will say the meal that we have disliked the most over the years was at the Plaza Inn in magic kingdom in November 2021. We went there specifically for the new menu item the Monte Cristo sandwich. That sandwich is legendary at Disneyland. We were hoping it would be the same but sadly it was not, it was very greasy and completely inedible.

It’s unfortunate that Disney is raising prices and lowering the quality. It truly makes us sad.

Disney World has been my happy place since 2009. I have always raved to my friends about how much I love the cuisine on property… especially at the table service restaurants. I don’t mind quick service for breakfast (Mickey Waffle!) but I’m more of a table service person for dinner.

Our annual trip is next week I can’t wait to see what’s going on with table service for our trip. I’m anxious to try space 220. We booked lunch because the difference between $55 lunch and $79 dinner is dessert. They’re charging you more than $20 to have dessert at the prix fixe dinner. No thanks. I’ll grab some dessert at the flower and garden booths. 😊

We did lunch at Space 220 and really enjoyed it. The DH still raves about the pear salad.

Tony’s is a complete embarrassment. We went pre Covid and the tables were like a foot apart, everyone’s meals came out 10 minutes apart, with one taking 40 minutes, and the food was cold and unseasoned.

The food at the California resort is WAY better then what you get at disneyworld. And most of it is actually worth the price.

Best food I had was Woody’s lunchbox BBQ Brisket melt and the pulled pork sandwich at the Wilderness Lodge.

Be Our Guest was nice but they really need to turn up the lights in the main ballroom, it was way too dark.

      Cosmic Rays hotdogs were awful.

    May be overpriced ?

You really need to step outside the parks to find the good meals at Disney world. Ohana and Cape May being my favorites. The best food I’ve had in the parks was at Spice Road in Morocco. Sadly, it was closed in September when we went and again in February. Hope they reopen soon.

The worst place I’ve ever eaten in the entire world (30+ countries) was at Be My Guest. My wife and I didn’t even finish our meals. Desert was good though. We sat in the very crowded and noisy main room, but at least we could see our food unlike in the side rooms. It looked good but was horrible. I’d rather eat out of a trash can in the back of McDonald’s than eat there again.
