“Tiana is a modern, courageous, and empowered woman, who pursues her dreams and never loses sight of what’s really important.”

W-TF is wrong with Disney these days? The vast majority of us do not want nor feel that Splash Mountain is toxic, nor does it need to go. Princess and the Frog sucked, how can we celebrate a movie just because there’s black characters in it? Next we’ll be voting somebody into the White House based on the color of their skin…

Everything that goes woke turns to complete crap. Sadly, Disney has been going down this road for a long time now. There’s nothing racist or toxic about Song Of The South, and the ride needs to be left alone.
Pirates Of The Caribbean had already been ruined with the WOKE changes that have been made to that ride. As far as classic Disney shows and cartoons having these idiotic disclaimers, it is absolutely ridiculous! People have no idea on what real racism and discrimination is. This radical left wing crap needs to be stopped and reversed. Walt is spinning in his grave like a rotisserie chicken! This was not his vision! And don’t even get me started on the alphabet community agenda and all of their pedophile perversion!
Take your diversity and inclusion and shove it! I’ll take morals and traditional family values over ungodly and unrealistic ideologies any day of the week. I love Disney, but I do not love what it has become. I won’t be going back anytime soon.

Also, they put Tiana’s Dig a Little Deeper song as the “American” (I guess) song in Epcot’s Harmonious. That’s already sickening.

China gets to show they’re Loyal, Brave, and True, with all that red going on, all it’s missing is a propaganda picture… Meanwhile, we in America have to “dig deeper” to “find out who we are,”. . . what??

I would have been perfectly happy with Colors of the Wind or Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride, if they wanted to be American but also virtue signal a small minority.

I mean, they already had a whole song in the mix about Africa and Lion King, and the Africa pavilion doesn’t even have any attractions in the park, maybe work on that first…

Perfect response..It’s sad iconic rides, music and songs are being eliminated at record pace.. Brutal it’s going on and Disney is caving. People repeatedly go to Disney parks for the nostalgia, NOT for mine train or rock n roller coaster.. We fine from NY to ride the old rides that bring us back to our childhood..We get out thrills at universal and Cedar point. We don’t crave walking into the parks to hear pop music playing in the background..We go bc the wave of emotion that gets stirred up when “Zip a Dee doo da” surrounds you as you walk down main street USA. keep taking these things away, and you will absolutely take the Nostalgia factor away that people like me spend thousands to experience..It’s SHAMEFUL what’s going on.. Absolutely Disgusting

Disney is going woke. I will never go there again unless this changes. Adios WDW and Dusneyland! Let the woke people support you.Lillian

#SaveSplashMountain and the re-theme petition aren’t even close. Save Splash has 10x more signatures. Just like the majority doesn’t want Disney films filled with agendas and politics. Disney needs new management ASAP. They are embarrassing themselves.

  3. Bill

Take a look at the crowds at the parks. Not many African Americans to be “offended” by the racist animals in Splash Mountain that I can see!

    1. Bruce

I will bet that black patrons are not offended by splash mountain. If they are, they were told to be.

    2. Jordan

Considering that there are more white people than there are blacks, it’s obvious you wouldn’t see that many. The fact that you think only black people find it offensive is pretty sad too. People of all races can see how offensive the film was back in the day.

      1. M

I was on Splash Mountain today. The line was over 95 minute wait. I saw probably 50 to 70 African Americans waiting in line for Splash Mountain. I was talking to a few. They think the re-theme is ridiculous and they love the characters. I saw African American Disney cast members working on the ride. That’s how pathetic this whole thing is. The only people that hate Splash Mountain is Cancel Culture twitter crazies that hate everything on social media.

        1. A Thiel

I totally agree. Everytime I go to Disney World the line for Splash Mountain is always at minimum 45 minutes. I am so sick of Disney listening to the minority instead of the majority. You know when I heard the rumor that the CEO might be getting let go after 11 months I was encouraged, but then I heard why. It was not because the people were unhappy about the changes in the parks, the removal of perks, the raised prices of food and tickets. No, it is because he did not take a strong stand against the bill in Florida that protects children. Walt is definitely doing somersaults in his grave looking down seeing what his wholesome company has and is becoming.

          1. Truth

The majority would still have BLACK PEOPLE enslaved.

      2. Soul

The film is not the ride. There are no racist items in or on the ride.

Have you even ever been on it? Tell me what about the actual ride is explicitly racist.

        1. Soul

I say “explicit” because implicit bias BS, or thought up racist shadows, can probably be thought to exist anywhere if one looks hard enough, but I’m taking about explicit references to any actual racist comments or content on the ride itself.

          1. Dave

Have you seen the movie? Too controversial to find at regular retailers. I subversively got a copy. Just so you know, it turns out what is racist in the movie is they present the slaves as being happy. Doesn’t matter that the white folk are presented as being wrongheaded, and the African American lead is both the hero and the wisest person in the movie; it’s racist because the movie isn’t about slaves being miserable. I kid you not.

How is it offensive?! You have a freed slave telling a story to 2 kids that has teachable moments in it. He is respected enough/portrayed as smart enough to teach these children something. Where is the racism?

  4. Rylan

We all can see the writing on the wall. The the redone ride will be popular for a while because it’s “new”. Disney will store what’s removed and when clown world calms down, in the future people will demand it to be returned to it’s past self. Or clown world persists and we destroy ourselves.

    1. Jordan

You know the number of rides that have been updated and people complain about the change? They aren’t going to keep all the old stuff around just to put it back up after putting in all that effect to retheme it. If you don’t like it, don’t go. Plenty of other people will be more than happy to go and wait in line to ride it over and over again lol

      1. Madison O’Neil

….How is the mental health facility treating you? Good food there? Seriously, are you okay? I’m really concerned

  5. Ghost

How about tear down the whole park and make the social justice anti white pro LGBT Park Disney openly craves!

  6. xtina72

I thought Princess and the frog was a terrible movie, I really couldn’t get into it at all but then again I’m not in love with Encanto, it was nothing special to me.

  7. ROGER D STEVENS

Princess and the Frog Sucked. Not because who was in it, the story was boring and I walked out of it. I have been a Disney fan for over 60 years, and this is the first time I did not like a moive from Disney. Not racist just boring. I saw kids leaving or not even paying attention to the movie. Walt would be upset with the Execs these days. Bring back Wonderful World of Color.

  8. Mimi

Leave Disney like it has been for years. I have been going for 50 years and if you continue with these changes I will not be coming back. Please do not ruin the parks that we all grew up loving. Some things should just stay the same!!!

  9. Patti

I no longer give a rip what they do with Splash Mountain/Slick Modern Tiana Mountain or whatever they decide to call it. I won’t be spending my money on going to any Disney parks anymore. This beloved attraction being drawn and quartered is sickening. Taking the classic song, which was never anything but happy and uplifting was all I needed to know. Walt Disney’s legacy is being trampled on and it’s unbearably sad. A man who had one goal, to create a place where entire families could have fun together, met and exceeded that goal. Those getting rich ripping his incredible vision to shreds have rooms reserved in Hell. I hope they’re ready.

  10. Wuffball

Change the Disneyland one only and leave the WDW one as-is.

  11. Mary

I agree that Walt is “spinning ” in his grave! Disney was built as a wholesome, family loving environment. Disney needs to IGNORE AND STAY OUT OF POLITICS in the parks, in the movies, etc. They also need to fire all the WOKE executives and get back to Walt’s vision. Bring back the Happily Ever After fireworks and all the great Disney movies from inception to date. That includes Song of the South.

  12. KenR

Not taking the bait. Your site is all about causing a fight these days.

  13. Jwf

This is becoming disgustingly hilarious. Thinking of canceling my 10/22 nine day vacation. Can’t wait to see what these idiots do with Princess and the Frog when they cancel the word “Princess.”

  14. Clifton y

How can they call princess and the frog if you can’t say princess any more. Princess and the frog made fun of people from Louisiana ( we get offended too.

  15. Susan grogg

Enough is enough folks..Disney’s wokeness and politics are destroying what Walt Disney built..we need to send a strong message that we want the Disney as we know it back. If you have Disney+… cancel it. If you don’t have it.. keep it that way.fight back..we don’t need to accept Chapeks wokeness

  16. Susan grogg

    #canceldisney+. #replacechapek

  17. EM

Disney STOP with the BS of appealing to a small minority of people with big mouths that cry about anything that bothers them. If they say it’s racist or sexist you jump tom please them. MOST PEOPLE don’t agree with your WOKE BS but because they aren’t crying to you you ignore them. Chapek is an Asshat that is ruining Disney with this crap like trying to overturn a parents right bill that some other Asshat decided to call a “Don’t say Gay” bill. Time to grow a pair and stay out of politics and all the WOKE BS and get back to running a theme park the right way and stop trying to cater to the rich and special interest groups and think about the people who made you all your money. Build more Value Resorts instead of Vacation Club Resorts that 90% of people cannot afford.

  18. Jeryl

You’ve raised some very compelling points. It is a travesty that Disney is pandering to the radical Left mentality by retheming the legendary Splash Mountain. The vast majority wants the ride to remain as it is, but Disney is intent on appeasing the liberals who take offense at everything. This is a sickening display of cowardice on Disney’s part, and those of us who relentlessly fought to preserve the original Splash Mountain should boycott the parks altogether.

  19. Soul

    Nope.
Keep Splash just the way it is.

It’s a part of history, and the characters and song are not racist at all. There are zero mentions of any race of people, and all the characters are animals. The only animosity here is a fox and bear trying to catch and eat the rabbit.

People want to balk and be offended because of the related movie, then ok, just don’t ride it.

If Disney wants to make a Tiana ride, go ahead, they have the acreage, but don’t screw over the majority who like the ride just because a few whiny people shouted in an echo chamber…

  20. Bella

I feel like parents want these rides to stay the same more than the kids. I don’t even know what this movie is and my kids don’t as well.

I don’t think Disney is trying to be politically correct. I think they are just trying to stay relevant with the younger generations and make money. I remember riding this ride as a kid and it creeped me out.

And this movie came out during Jim Crow so if there aren’t hints of racism that would be surprising.

  21. Dd

And your being negative for the sake of being negative. The author is just keeping people up to date . Stop crying

    1. Peter

Woke Dino world; Disney In Name Only . Not Walt’s Disney anymore.

  22. Lude

This is utterly FU*KING STUPID!!!! Walt is rolling in his grave with absolute DISGUST!!! The Princess and the Frog is hands down the WORST movie Disney has ever released. Leave Splash Mountain alone you unintelligent, overly sensative, and embarrassing left winged radicals. 🤬🤬🤬🤬
