Still don’t know why they don’t just offer BOTH options all the time? There are 2 theaters, and it would be nice to have the choice (since the original was better).
I agree with all comments above. Bring in the candles and most importantly have the option to watch California Soarin’ or Soaring around the world when we stand in line. That would add just another fun adventure at Epcot. One quick add-in, Please change Haunted House at Magic Kingdom to the Jack and Sally theme as you do in California. That is absolutely Magical. My whole family loved it in California’s Haunted Mansion. See you at Disney in Florida !!!!!
Considering most love the California version better and there are only 2 theaters, that side will have a 2 hour line while the other will have a 10 minute line. Rather than doing this, they should just revert it back to California since it’s literally in California. But they can keep around the world at Epcot since it fits the theme.
The last time I went to DCA before the pandemic (which was the last time I rode the Tower before they had to go and muck it up) I rode Soarin’ Around the World. It just didn’t have the same enchantment as the original (which I would have preferred to ride). And seeing the Eiffel Tower on a curved screen just didn’t work. They should keep Soarin over California forever.
Orlando has 3 theaters and it would be great to have a different one in each theater- Florida, California, World. I would ride all 3 everytime I was there if I could
I preferred the California version of Soarin at Disney World, but it needed to be digitized because it was very grainy.
I also miss the show at Disney World France too, which reminded me of Soarin except you were sitting in comfy theater seats.
Soarin’ Over California for the win (especially the wonderful soundtrack from the late great Jerry Goldsmith!)
Some things are best left unique for each regional Disney Theme Park (it make sense DCA would have a California themed experience, EPCOT would have a World themed experience, etc !)
Soarin’ Over California was never broken, so whomever’s decision was to “fix it by changing it”? Well, that was unnecessary!
Yes, I agree with many of the comments about bringing back “Soarin’ Over California” permanently. It’s so much better than the “Around the World”!
I knew Jerry Goldsmith personally and he told me how much he enjoyed scoring SOC because he got to watch the film over and over.

I wish they would bring it back to Disney World as well. There is nothing memorable about Soarin’ around the world.

Sorry, S.O.C. is only for California. Maybe you need a S.O.F. ?

No self respecting Californian ever calls California Cali

We were just at Disneyland 2 weeks ago and I was really disappointed with Soarin’ Across the World, or whatever it’s called. Way too much CG in it.

Hated the new version. Would go on th CA version numerous times per visit at WDW. Bring it back to Epcot permanently.

I wish they did this on StarTours and went back to the original instead of the new crap movies and knockoff characters

My wife’s uncle flew and recorded the segments over the river with the fisherman and others. I loved the ride and would love to ride it again.
