ahhh yes, a TOTALLY non-biased account from a person with a ton of education in studying cetaceans 🥰 oh wait, i forgot being a trainer requires zero education at all let alone education relating to marine mammals. i’m going to continue to listen to whale experts, not some brainwashed former seaworld employee who can sit here and say anything with no proof or evidence. gross 🤢

Actually, here are the very BASIC requirements:
Have a minimum of 18 months animal training or animal husbandry experience in a marine mammal, zoological, or aviculture professional setting.
      Be Open Water SCUBA certified.
Also, they mainly only hire people who have a degree or background in psychology, zoology or biology. Sometimes they offer internships to students of those fields, but they are trained for a very long time before doing anything,.
These are not unskilled kids working at a theme park. Not only does this give them more knowledge about the animals, it also gives them actual, real life experience with these amazing creatures, something most of your “Experts” do not have.

Kindly look up your BS before to post it.

And no, I have never worked for the company. I have friends that have actually worked in the animal programs, and were impressed with the steps Sea World takes towards the well being of these animals, as well as the training and education required towards even getting near the animals. Now, a decade ago, they had some serious issues, but have completely changed since.

        Couldn’t agree more Jeff!!!

SeaWorld has spent millions of dollars conserving wild animals and wild places, as well as supporting critical conservation work on every continent and supports wildlife research, habitat protection, animal rescue and conservation education in the U.S. and countries all over the world. Every habitat isn’t as wonderful as their “natural environment” but sadly that’s all we’re going to have for the animals after we destroy all of them and their environment out in the wild. What are these complainers doing to help any of that? Luckily we have places like Sea World to help!

  2. Jeff, you have no idea what you are talking about.about . also orcas do not have bent dorsal fins in the wild. Also are you saying you know more than a marine biogilist. Also orcas live longer in the wild than in seaworld.

  3. Jeff and Braden, you are not correct. Also orcas in the wild do not have bent dorsal fins. Also there has not been a fatal attack by an orca in the wild.Tilikum the orca has killed three people. And he was an orca in captivity. Also there are non profit organizations such as the whale and dolphin conservation society. Also SeaWorld is a profit organization.
