Can they please just close it down for a year or so (like they did with D-land’s Space Mountain in the early 2000s) because it would be worth it if they would. Just. Fix. That. Monster. Of. An. Animatronic.
Disney would have to take the mountain apart to fix the yeti plus it costs way too much money to fix, not to mention it would like one to two years to have it back up and running.
Yet they have money and time to “fix” Splash Mountain. I’m not sure your time frame is accurate but given the leisurely pace they seem to have taken with Tron, Epcot and Guardians, I wouldn’t doubt it. It makes a person wonder how in the heck they managed to build the entire Magic Kingdom, The Seven Seas Lagoon, two resorts, a power plant and a Monorail in 5-6 years.
