I was highly disappointed when I went to disney world in December 2021 as there were so many guests not properly wearing masks (over nose and chin) and very few cast members trying to enforce the rules. As an example, bathrooms are indoors and about one third of people inside did not have a mask on at all period.
The time we went December 2020, cast members were equal opportunity mask police. Can you imagine being at a sprawling resort (moderate) and you walk outside most of the time and you have to wear a mask? Unthinkable. No scientific data backing this.
That’s what Disney was doing. They said at our resort we could remove our mask if we were: eating or drinking, swimming, or in our room. Our masked pictures in front of disney landmarks looked stupid. I am glad that they are bringing back common sense and not expecting people (vaccinated or no) to wear a mask outdoors. The risk outdoors is miniscule.
I know so many cast members that are so tired of guests being awful to them. I’ve heard horror stories of them being shoved, punched, spit on, screamed at, hit with strollers, cups dumped on them, and more. It makes my blood boil! Truly the guests at Disney World are so lucky to have such good people running that place because if it was more people like me, y’all would have a black eye and bloody lip for daring such audacity. Wear your mask while inside you plague rats! It’s not even hard! Stop being a POS!
Disney mask mandates are illegal, Gov. DeSantis has prohibited businesses from mandating masks. The more cast members get abused for enforcing illegal mandates maybe the more will quit Disney until Disney stops with the stupid woke virtue signaling.
It’s not illegal when they are a private business and doesn’t go against anyone’s rights. You do realize that you are encouraging violence, right? They would close before dropping something like this when it’s to help people feel safe.
Time to end the b.s. masks. Unless you are licking other people, which should get you thrown out anyway, you don’t need to wear one unless YOU are the sick one. In which case, you should stay home.
I won’t go to any park anywhere until the mask requirement is dropped.
I don’t get it either. Disney spends $billions to create an immersive experience. Then SPOILS it with totally unnecessary mask harassment like a +urd floating in a swimming pool. I don’t get it.
Problem is that some people don’t realize that they are sick until they already gave it to several others. If you don’t like it, you shouldn’t go. It’ll save those of us willing to do the right thing that literally has no effect on your time there from waiting in longer lines.
Masks are an important tool to avoid getting Covid and transmitting it. Maybe you have not gotten the disease, but millions had and many have died.
It is so easy to get acostume to it, but if you do not try and are not willing to do it it will neve happen.
If one was so worried, then they wouldn’t be going to Disney World at this time in the first place. The people who choose to go to Disney World during this time have made their decision. People who wear masks need to learn (quickly) that people are not going to wear masks. If you can’t get past that, you might as well stay home. Me, I’m driving my family Disney in a month.
