It opened April 22, 1998 but at the time it was called Countdown to Extinction. The ride’s name changed to Dinosaur in 2000 to promote the release of the new Dinosaur movie, but the ride remained virtually the same.
While it could be interesting to retheme the attraction, the paint should be kept up until such time as they are ready to put up the construction walls. What ever happened to “show” being important?
I’d love to see the Dinoland area retheamed with a South America theme (would make more sense with the rest of the park) and CTE updated to match its sister attraction “ Indiana Jones“ (same ride vehicles) from Disneyland.
This is actually repair work to the Iguanodon, not chipped paint. They are repairing it and cleaning up the area, which was due for some maintenance. Please go inspect the items you claim to know all about, instead of just making up “facts” from one person’s tweet.
