  1. Connor ,marvel geek,

Rocket will get killed off in guardians of the galaxy 3

    1. Foreshadow

“Oh, what the hell. I don’t got that long a lifespan anyway” -rocket

  2. No don’t kill off the Rocket! He’s the main reason why Guardians was a hit off! But kill off Drax where his family was killed and just wants to sleep. Eventually be with his family again.

  3. But maybe Rocket will go his separate ways to be Thor’s side kick

    1. Mj

This article has almost no solid evidence of this statement

  4. Seprious

No way…kill drax,no problem there. If Rocket goes,i will not watch another (future) guardians movie. Period

    1. JustJessee

Everything about Rocket I should love. But I just cannot stant Bradley Cooper, not sure what it is about him as an actor and public figure, but the dude grates me so bad. So… Fine with giving Rocket a tear jerker ending.

But leave Drax alone. Cmon. Please.. he’s different in a different way and some of us relate to that heavily.

      1. EvilAlice1

Wel that just sucks! Rocket’s my favorite character. Somebody needs to get hold of Bradley Cooper and shake some sense into him. For the love of mercy …. WTH’s wrong with him??

      2. Adoribelle

Dave has said he doesn’t want to play Drax anymore because he doesn’t like to be shirtless the whole movie. I guess I get it but still that seems an odd reason to quit.

      3. One of the main reasons why guardians of the galaxy is so cool is the chemistry between rocket and the other protagonists. His character being killed off will leave a massive hole in the team. Just won’t be the same without him.

      4. Pixie

The actor has nothing to do with the character. So why would you dislike the character? What’s not to like he’s funny, and doesn’t take crap from anyone.

    2. Nicolas Farinas

      No one cares

    3. Babette

No Rocket, no whatch. Love Cooper but I’m sure they can get a replacement voice.

      1. MASue

That’s what I thought. There are so many voice actors thst could play that roll even better.

  5. sm753

Easy, just replace him with whoever did Rocket’s voice in the Guardians of the Galaxy game.

    1. Mike

I second this. I liked Rocket and Drax in the game way better than their Hollywood counterparts.

  6. David

Sounds a little self serving and a selfish(acting ONLY in what HE’d been writing!?)

    1. Phil

So what? He wants to do what he wants to do. It’s not selfish. That would imply he’s depriving other people of making a living. He’s not preventing others from doing their jobs. He just wants to do his own thing. If I quit my job to go start my own business, is that selfish?

  7. Tiger

I love both Bradley Cooper (we have the same last name) and Rocket. A lot of fun. But it’s pretty easy to replace a voice actor in a role as well. The character can continue on no problem. If the plan is to continue him.

    1. B

Exactly what I was thinking ☝️

  8. If Rocket Raccoon and Groot aren’t going to be in it, I am not interested in watching, renting or buying it. Period!!

  9. Kiefer

I thought Sean Gunn did rocket why are they talking about cooper

    1. WastelandBard

Sean Gunn does the motion capture and Bradley Cooper does the voice acting.

  10. SG

Just boot that self absorbed Bradley Cooper and get another voice actor…. EZ.

    1. B

Yeah! A voice actor is much easier to replace than a physical actor

  11. Axle

FIND ANOTHER PERSON TO VOICE ROCKET WE CAN LOOSE HIM

  12. Babette

No Rocket, no whatch. Love Cooper but his voice isn’t necessary to keep Rocket. Would love to see Rocket go on as Thor’s sidekick.

    1. Speller

      Watch

      1. Heartbreaking. I love Rocket and Bradley Cooper. But Rocket is just a character and not real. But on screen he’s alive via the voice of Bradley Cooper. So sad.

  13. CJ

What was the point of this article? It’s well known these actors in Guardians of Galaxy 3 will be fulfilling their contractual obligation (the last film and that’s it, with a few showing up in THOR 4 + the Holiday Special!)

Sure, they will participate in the theatrical premieres and other PR, but unless Marvel has a reason to extend anyone’s contract? take this as a solid Trilogy and enjoy it (it’s rare actor’s voice the cartoons, unless that’s in the contract!)

  14. Cooper

I can do Rocket, for a fraction of the salary!

  15. nTrophy

Oh boo hoo. They can just hire the actors who voiced Rocket and Groot in the recent GotG game and no one will even notice. In fact, it might be an improvement.

  16. Brian Noveske

Sorry to say but Disney has lost the images and Dreams that Walt had for the people!!( not about money!!) The wife and I have been coming since Disneyworld opened !! ( here now not going to any parks!!)

    1. Jaded

This comment has absolutely nothing to do with this article. What’s your point?

  17. Daniel

So Vin Diesel is being played by Groot?

    1. Nate

I noticed that too. No wonder he can be a little wooden!

  18. Sweets

The more I hear about the next Marvel movies the less I want to watch them.

  19. SusieQ

I’m sure at some point I knew Cooper voiced Rocket, but no human face… it’s just a character. I haven’t watch enough of his movies to even know his voice.

If he wants to act only in movies he’s written, so what? Maybe he has stories to tell? Maybe what he’s getting offered isn’t fulfilling to him.

Franchise movies get boring by the time they hit their 3rd episode. It’s just more of the same with a few of the names changed. But my husband likes them so I’ll go with him. (However when it comes to Star Wars that comment is null and void).

  20. AnD

Bruce Willis would be a great replacement. Heck I thought it was him the first film till I did a cast search sure it was him not Bradley.

    1. DayVess

Might as well get Denis Leary, since it sounds like Cooper was doing an impression of him the whole time anyway!

    2. Peter Stark

      Same

  21. Pixie

That would be a mistake Rocket is who brings the laughs. The movies would suck without Rocket and frankly I would not watch any movies he was no longer in.

  22. R.J.

There is a very simple solution. Just have rocket take a massive non lethal blow to the upper body. Due to the damage of his vocal cord his voice would then allow for whom ever they chosen to slide right in with zero issues.

  23. SledgeMaximus

I could care less. What I want is Groot to actually talk, like he does in the comics.

  24. Peter Stark

It’s ok just let Bruce Willis do the voice! I honestly thought it was Bruce for the longest time.

  25. Dayna Barret

I don’t see why anyone needs to be killed off; we lost Yondo in the last one and that hurt. Rocket had an incredible growing experience they Yondo as well and I think we deserve a chance to see that and it would be honoring our fallen character. If Cooper quits, he has no ownership of the Rocket character and there are many talented actors who would jump at the chance to become Rocket. And most likely it could be accomplished without the fans even realizing.

  26. John

Bradley Cooper, an A list actor in my humble opinion. Feeling I would appreciate a character he brings to life on the screen. More than just his voice, behind good CGI.

  27. Sam Oakin

I think y’all are reading way too much into this. Is it possible that he wasn’t referring to voice acting? I don’t imagine it takes more than a day or two to voice all of Rocket’s lines. A big payday, short hours, no makeup. He doesn’t have to brush his teeth if he doesn’t want to. You’re telling me he’s walking away from that for the purpose of artistic purity? I’ll believe it when I see it. And let’s face it, it’s an over-the-top performance that many voice actors could mimic quite effectively. Worry not!!!

  28. Phil

So what? He wants to do what he wants to do. It’s not selfish. That would imply he’s depriving other people of making a living. He’s not preventing others from doing their jobs. He just wants to do his own thing. If I quit my job to go start my own business, is that selfish?
