The ’04 movie got it…ALMOST right.
Michael Chiklis was a good Ben Grimm, we hated Chris Evans at the time for being a canonically annoying Johnny Storm, the iconography was correct, and Laurence Fishburne wasn’t even a bad Silver Surfer in the sequel.
Too bad the director had never heard of Dr. Doom, and had no idea what to do with them.
All we ask is a MCU version of the ’04 film.
It’s one of the movies that scared Marvel into creating the MCU in the first place…
If you want the 2004 version of the Fantastic 4 team, just watch the 2004 movie… Who knows what Marvel will do with the new movie, but what I do know is that Marvel fans will complain either way about the movie, whether they are all white actors or not, and I know for a FACT that EricJ will complain about something about the movie if insidethemagic.net does a future article about the movie…
I believe the Fantastic Four already changed comics , just as you said , a family like anyone’s , if you change that , it is NOT the FF , it is something different. If you want different write/create your own . Keep them as the family they are, smiling there arguing is the glue that makes them work .
