We’re here now, and have done 4 park days. We wear our masks even outdoors, whether in line or walking, and have only taken them off to eat, and sanitized hands after rides. Our daughter (who just turned 5 and we brought to celebrate her birthday) has covid. She has a dangerous fever, cough, and us hallucinating. We had to cancel our remaining park days and universal days. She isn’t in school and I don’t work, so we quarantined 14 days before our trip, not even seeing any family for Thanksgiving.
There was a lot of coughing, esp from this like ten year old boy behind us in slinky dog dash.

I also want to add that we drove 925 miles to avoid being on a plane with others, so she definitely got sick in Florida, at WDW.

Please enlighten us. How many people in your party? What rest stops and gas stations did you stop at on your route. Where did you start and what route did you take? If there are possibly hot spots near your home or along the route people should know about them.

It appears likely that she got this somewhere where spread is high and you brought it with you since the incubation period from contact to symptoms is usually longer than 3-4 days in Children. Does your child have a serious comorbidity?

Also, what masks did your child wear? They don’t appear to have worked and people should know what type & brand is ineffective.

Looks like FL may have achieved herd immunity or at least is a good way there. Wish our governor would get his boot off the throat of small businesses.
