This would be a mistake, it would be better to promote Geoege Kalogridis or Josh D’Maro. Another valid option would be to steal back John Storbeck from Cedar Fair, but Cedar Fair really needs him.

But bringing Iger back is just going to result in more of the same of what we see now.

  2. Bob is doing the right, not the popular thing

Nonsense. There’s nothing wrong with Chapek except that he made difficult decisions during a difficult time. It’s not like he’s charging more to line his own pocket; he’s the one who has to pay the bills and deal with the enormous loss during covid. Fans don’t decide how a company is run, a business is not a democracy, their petition is ridiculous. Chapek could easily go down history as the man who saved Disney from covid. The CEO doesn’t need to be popular, he needs to save the company.

    1. Chris

Na he won’t go down as the man that saved Disney. BUT BOB has not done them a million favors. Look at harmonious it is neat but hard to see and makes the lake ugly. Disney should listen to their guests more. MAKE another park. But lightning lane is six flags level stuff and disney used to be better.

I like starwars but did not need same place on east and west coast.

Just very expensive and now they have a 5th key that is somewhat insulting. That means that they never cared before. The did and cast worked very hard at it.

      1. Rahat Mahmud

        We appriciate
anyone as ceo of the number one entertainment company of the world.
        If its mr BOB again.
I believe Walt Disney will be better again.

    2. Chris

His bonus pay was based on Disney plus subscriptions. When the whole black widow fiasco happened that was a direct attempt to line his pockets. There were hard choices during covid, but you can’t nickel and dime your base to make up for it. Shareholders need to stop expecting huge growth every year. At some point you hit a max.

    3. Sandra Fitzgerald

This is the man who wants to move Disney into sports gambling, has monetized and automated the experience of attending the Disney Parks to the point that even if a family could possibly afford to bring their children to Disneyland it’s all but impossible to work the way through the technology to even get a “reservation”. The tech is almost brain melting to navigate, people have to wake up early to hold a virtual space in line, and has essentially removed any sense of spontaneity and damn near most of the fun of the Disney experience. Iger would be an improvement. Someone else like Josh D’Amaro might be better. But Chapek has got to go! Thoughts of a retired Imagineer

      1. Visitor

With Bob there is NO magic. The costs has risen so much, that families are going into debt to try to have a Disney vacation. Admission prices are way up, resort cost, the complimentary magical express ends this year. Now he took away the free fast passes to charge exhorbant fees to “guarantee” a ride. The dining plans suspended. The stresses financially on many is great. I will never be convinced this is the type of theme park Walt Disney had in mind. Bob is hurting Disney. WHERE’S THE MAGIC???

        1. Ann Fortney

This I agree with. I understand the cost of living and everything going up from time to time, but Disney built the parks for families to be able to bring children and have fun with them. When you can not afford to go and are being nickel and dimed to death; when you do, then where is the fun and ability to enjoy it with or without children. Because I live in Tennessee, it is not a trip I can plan every year, but we try to go every 3-4 years anyway. The cost of going per person, and that was admission, food and parking, for 4 days, 4 parks, was over $1000. It seems that it is becoming more of a luxury resort for the wealthy; than a resort that everyone is able to enjoy. Use to, once you paid your admission to the park, every ride was free. No fast passes, no Genie, not having to make reservations to get to go to the park, it was more spontaneous. Now it has lost the magic because of all the things you have to do before going or once you get there. Bring back the Disney and the magic of old.

        2. Lilia

Yes, yes, and YESSSSS! I would love Mr Iger back in charge of Disney.

        3. Jordan

The cost of a lot of things all over the place have gone up due to covid though. I went in 2019 and Universal wasn’t as expensive as it is now. The magical express has been announced to go away for a while though and that’s because their agreement with Mears is going away. They already talked about replacing it with a train that will take you to disney springs and there you can take a bus to your hotel. All of which keeps it in house and not have to deal with a different company doing their part. As for Genie+, you don’t have to pay to get a seat. You can literally follow the plan it lays out without spending a penny, but that also requires you planning when the right time to go is. People are making it seem like you have to pay more when you don’t. The benefit of it is it’s not a race for those that do or don’t stay at a hotel anymore, anyone can get a chance now to get on the ride.

      2. I totally agree with you that reservation system Has to go let’s get back to the way it was that we can just go whenever we want park hop to each park on the same day

    4. Barney

He closed all brick and mortar Disney Stores put so many of us out of work. So many people used these these stores when the parks were closed. I’m no fan of Chapek on many fronts!

      1. Gary

16 year cast member here, laid off and forced to retire early. I just visited the parks for the first time since 2019 and what a hassle it’s become just trying to get reservations. I don’t know what the solution is but I hate what Disney has become. The reservation system, the Disney app which is no longer user friendly, the nickel and diming for everything. The magic is fast dwindling and it’s become very cumbersome just to visit the parks.

      2. Kimberley Schulman

He needs to go. How much money do execs need? Put back in the park. Once you go through all the Star Wars and avatar you’ve seen it. More rides were needed not billions in landscape. For a company that screams about diversity you priced the average person out of the park! Think about that

        1. Marc Disney

Bob Iger returning as CEO? While I’m not a huge fan of Bob Iger, I despise Bo PAYCHECK with a passion! As a stockholder, if I have to choose between the lesser of the two evils, Bob Iger gets my vote over CHEAPek any day!

    5. Benjamin

Who’s to say Chapek wasn’t going to end up nickel-and-diming the park experience anyway even in the absence of covid? Disney may have been going down that route eventually years from now it’s just that a pandemic accelerated the process.

    6. Mackey

Chapek started his cutbacks before COVID. The pandemic just made it easier for him.

    7. Rana Burt

Making WDW too expensive for lower and middle class people is the problem. Walt would not want WDW to be only for the socially elite.

    8. Dee

Chapack is horrible! He is just a money hungry jerk who needs to go! He is ruining Walt’s vision!

      1. Victoria migala

I don’t think I will renew my annual pass. To hard to get a reservation. I can’t work the app at all

      2. Chuck

I agree that Chapel needs to go. Many many reasons too numerous to write down. My letters are going to the board as well as Mr. Chapel and Mr. Iger. People, quit whining and write real thoughtful letters that will get grown up attention! Writing online is just blowing off steam.

    9. Amy

I wish Disney would just listen to the guests more. We are the ones who are paying for salaries for these executives. The prices are outrageous and all of the perks have been taken away, like the parking that used to be included when you stayed at a Disney property. I understand that the pandemic has hit Disney hard, but why not bring back some of those perks? I really like Bob Iger, but he has to step down at some point right? Not sure that the new Bob is the right man, but this is a tough road right now.

  3. Roy D

All these idiots keep crashing Walt’s company in a ditch. They should scalp whoever is running Universal. That person is killing it in Florida.

    1. Ann

I have been a DVC member since 2005. I no longer encourage family and friends to join. I tell them it is no longer worth it. Disney has destroyed everything that has made it great. Please remove Chapek!

      1. DG

Agreed! I just returned from a trip to Disney World. It has become very lackluster, it seems. The parks were not nearly as festive as usual from decorations to merchandise to outrageous prices (much higher than usual). Genie+ operated mostly okay, though paying for these features stings. Individual Lightning Lane is ridiculous. They need to ditch all of that. Sad to see it losing its magic.

      2. JS

Until Disney starts acting like Disney and less like a Coney Island carnival barker, my Disney vacation is on hold. Kick Cheapass to the curb, he has failed. If they replace him and reverse these sleazy changes, I’ll start looking now.

As of now, I’m not planning to take my kids there. For years, if ever.

      3. Kimberley Schulman

Me too. I don’t encourage anymore

  4. jose

I mean, it’s not rocket science. People are not willing to pay for wokeness, woke activism, or woke experiences. The company thinks otherwise, and that’s ok. But they cant pretend to be ignorant of the fact that the market doesnt care for wokeness.

    1. Gern Blanston

      Jose – You are wrong!

      -Gern

      1. Kimberley Schulman

The numbers say different. They are so woke, they priced the woke people out of the park!

    2. JS

Lol, ok Jose. Yeah, it’s too woke. You’ve got it, they should make you CEO.

    3. Ken C

“it’s a small world” is about as woke as it gets and that’s been around since ‘64. Woke Disney is not a new thing.

    4. Fett

That’s why “Frozen” bombed. It’s wokeness killed it.

      1. Robin

Frozen 2 gross is $1.5 billion. Disney’s Song of the South (not woke) grossed $37 million. Frozen has grossed 3 times as much, taking into account inflation.

    5. Manny

First you would have to understand what WOKE is even though hiding behind a fake name to make it seem like you are minority is precious.

Maybe you should try to search shareholder equity which is the only thing driving Disney.

    6. Rich

      Racist much much?

  5. Dee

I am an avid Disney visitor and have been with my family for over 40 years. Iger should come back asap! Chapek does not care about the cast members, the park us visitors or Walt’s vision. He cares about power and $. Iger should come back until he and the board find someone like minded as Iger with Walt’s vision in mind. I was confused as why so many things were not done at the park while it was closed and now their doing it when guests are back? I did notice however the cast members are doing their best and we had a great experience. He needs to go before he makes more bad choices. Get more petitions going!!!

  6. R

Boycott/Cancel your Disney+ Subscription.  Bob Cheap(ek) only cares about subscriber “data” to beat Netflix, since it is a key aspect of his strategy as CEO.  If you support Disney+ with a subscription, you support Bob Cheap(ek).  Disney+ “data” is more important to his success than Disney Parks/Resorts.  Let that sink in for a second!  Drop Disney+ and maybe Disney will drop Bob Cheap(ek).  Fire Bob Chapek!

    1. Joshua

Unfortunately, Disney+ is by far the most successful aspect of Disney right now. My Disney+ subscription certainly isn’t going away, but having some real heart to hearts on whether annual passes are going bye bye.

    2. Manny

Don’t worry after my three year heavily discounted subscription I am done as most others. Unless they are going to discount it again.

  7. Roy

Both Bob Iger and Bob Chapek were originally hired by Michael Eisner. In 2020, Bob Iger had abruptly placed Chapek into the CEO position. Meanwhile, Michael Eisner is officially back with Disney – doing a hairpin turn (he calls “tornante” in Italian) – Yes, Disney officially lists Michael Eisner as being their “partner” – in which they are co-branding every Disney character, movie, Disney theme parks, Disney + streaming and official Disney events. Whatever happens, it is all part of Eisner’s master plan.

  8. Ron Obvious

    Lol… Dream on.

It’s the shareholders’ opinion that matters, and they are behind Chapek 100%. Iger’s mismanagement is what led Disney to the current revenue-draining, debt-exploding situation the company is now trying to fix.

So, bad news for Kennedy, Fiege, and all the other woke “creatives” who want to continue flushing money down the drain to impress their fans on twitter. Chapek (and Susan Arnold, the new Chairman of the Board) are committed to making Disney a for-profit company again. It’s no surprise to see the usual suspects whining about it — but Chepek is here to stay. Get used to it.

    1. Wuffball

They’re committed to ruining WDW, you meant to say.

    2. Fett

When I think of Disney Magic, I think of “Debt Management.”

    3. Manny

As individuals you have the power in social media and with your dollar to crash quarterly reports and that is what shareholders care about. The problem is Americans do not know about sacrifice or boycotting, or
Protesting effectively. Just imagine groups showing up at Board members homes or country club.

  9. Christopher James

Disney has always been about money period. They sell magic because magic doesn’t exist. The parks today are an afterthought when compared with everything else Disney controls. With that said, I won’t be going back. I’ll take my money elsewhere. Places where my money stretches farther. Where I can stay, probably pay a little more, but the advantages far out weigh the disadvantages. Somewhere the inclusives are beneficial.

Does staying at a Disneyland/Magic Kingdom resort get you into the parks for free? Does it include meals and refreshments (alcoholic and non)? Does it include transportation to and from the airport? Does include room service and waivering of fees when it comes to what’s in the refrigerator? Does it include tours to off property sites of historical interest? No, no, no, and no.

I’ll take my money to Hotel Xcaret. I may like the House of Mouse, just not enough to go broke!

  10. Dan

Been going to WDW since 1973. Seen many changes over the years.
Some good and some bad. In my opinion, it all comes down to how the CEO treats the CMs. Eisner was good was he was partnered with someone else. I forget his name, but he worked with the Imagineers and more creativity. You could see CMs we’re happy. When the person passed away, Eisner tried doing more and it resulted in Imagineers and CMs not being happy.
Fortunately, Iger helped Eisner the last couple years of his reign. Iger a was brilliant at mergers with Pixar (saved Disney animation IMHO as creativity flowed back to Disney). The purchase of Marvel and Star Wars were tremendous boosts for the company. Iger started Disney+ plans. So many achievements for Iger.
Chapek is trying, but he is more like Eisner when he tried to force his way with Imagineers and CMs. Chapek ordering the Imagineers to move from California to Florida or lose jobs is bad. Not even consulting them is terrible. Not realizing we have a major labor shortage of creativity in the US is disasterous.
Not sure bringing Iger back is right answer. Need someone younger, who understands compassion for the staff has always been Disney’s secret magic formula.

    1. Me

      Frank Wells. A brilliant man.

      1. Sandra Fitzgerald

And a nice man to work with. He was the person who kept Michael Eisner balanced. His death was a tragic loss.

    2. Kara

I agree on the disaster of ordering the Imagineers to move to Florida. I have a friend who is now a former Imagineer and from what she’s said… she’s one of many that quit, retired or attempted to find something else in the company in California. She was very sad that she had to do that because she’s been an Imagineer for many years but she refuses to uproot her family at this point in her career.
I will also say that although I haven’t been in WDW for probably 12 years or so due to divorce and a major car accident that almost killed me. I keep up to date on the parks and what’s going on along with things in the whole company.
It does seem like once they reopened from the shutdown, it’s been let’s see how much we can get the rubes to pay for this and it’s multiplied by a thousand! 🤔😡
With Chapek, the thing that has made me the most angry is what he specifically did to Scarlett Johansson! I could understand it if it was what was happening for every actor that had a movie that went straight to Disney+ but no, he had to be a sexist jerk who automatically gives the money they’d lose to the Rock but can’t for a woman who has worked her ass off for movies that have made him a lot of money! 🤬
Just my thoughts and yes, I would love to see him replaced!

  11. Wuffball

Please please PLEASE get rid of Chapek! We are paying way more for way less, and lower quality of what we do get.

  12. Bonnie Santiesteban

Disney has lost its magic for the almighty dollar. Budget cuts have made it just another theme park. Chapped has not helped. Disney is known for top notch entertainment & experiences. You can’t offer anything less than that & expect consumers to be okay paying more. My family have been passholders for over 20 years. Nothing but continued disappoint since leadership changes. Walt Disney would be so upset. The Disney Way is long gone right now.

  13. Michelle

Chapek should have gotten rid of the AP program completely from Disneyland instead of crowding the parks with entitled Magic Keys. That’s his biggest mistake; everyone should pay full price!

    1. Vdog

I highly, HIGHLY doubt that the few magic key holders that can actually obtain a reservation these days are the problem.
Why don’t you actually state what negatives the magic key holders are bringing to the parks to back your statement up??

  14. Vanessa

Yes! Bring Iger back. Disney has lost it’s magic. I’m still having a hard time understanding some of Chapek’s decisions. I really wish they would replace the current CEO. Iger really knew how to run things and focused on customer care and the Disney company was thriving until Covid.

  15. Jason

Bob Paycheck had been abysmal but he won’t be forced out unless Disney can’t make money anymore.

    1. Joshua

Disney also needs to be thinking hard about the long game. It can’t afford to lose too much of its once die hard fan base, because then who’s going to be pushing future generations toward taking up that mantle? When the magic becomes less from year to year, people will eventually stop coming in the numbers needed. The other parks are stepping up their magic, so watch out Disney.

    2. Melissa Lewis

I don’t want either one! Chapel is ruining the Disney Magic, but Iger has been there for WAY too long already. Time for a fresh, new perspective.

  16. Fett

YES Lori. Sick Perverts. You tell em.

  17. Melissa Lewis

I know his name isn’t “Chapel”. My phone autocorrected.

  18. Robert "Ironman" Downey

While I do not agree with Chapek’s almighty greed stance, nor his big brother attitute of telling me my food portion size is too larg for the $24 hot dog and soda, NOR the $49 T-Shirt that falls apart after one wash, NOR the $169 1 day ticket, Nor the $1300 Annual pass cost to be able to go (maybe) when I want, NOR the constant breakdowns of rides, NOR the Genie + system which makes everyone wait anyway and still pay extra for….all those in account, ask yourself this…

Could YOU have done any better given the money bleeding from the coffers to pay cast member salary, benefits and sometimes housing for as long as they could during the pandemic? That revenue has to come back somehow. I LIKE Disney +, I LOVE WDW. I accept that things change, as that is the nature of all things in life. The “Good Ol’ Days” of Iger were not always good either. Crowds so bad, you couldn’t see your feet or pavement, 190 wait times for some rides, the CONSTANT priority of cheerleading teams, basketball teams and other events taking space from paying guests and pass holders.

Firing Chapek will not solve the issues. Like all businesses, WDW is there to make money. Period. The board and CEO will do what they can to make it and don’t care what you think. If you don’t like the changes, don’t go to WDW..more space for me. There will always be people there to replace a guest that chooses not to go.

    Just my 2 cents.

    1. Robert "Ironman" Downey

BTW, I should mention that I am not THAT Robert Downey (no Jr.).

  19. Annette Smith-Wales

The level of technology required to navigate even a dinner reservation, booking anything-is overwhelming for intelligent people who can afford the best of the best. Imagine those with a family of demanding little ones and an older phone=terribly disappointing experience. Please make the characters available without having to have a $500 character experience that you cannot get booked to save your life because it’s already sold out. Please raise your standards back up for the cast and crew. Clean cut, polite ambitious seems to be a thing of the past too.

  20. Jo

I just got back from Disney and felt so bad for the people that scrimped and saved and had to wait in long lines to go on attractions.
One father had to say I have run out of money so can’t buy genie again
This should not happen to these families that save and save and can’t get in rides, not enough time in a day to wait in these lines
Chapel open your eyes and don’t be greedy
    Walt’s dream has disappeared

  21. Peter

Disney needs a fresh face. Iger wants to retire. Wipe the slate clean. Bring back the old Disney. There’s so much to say about the negative changes. It’s too difficult to plan a vacation at Disney. As a guest that finds it difficult to plan from one minute to the next because of the size of the park. Bring back simplicity. And….. treat the guests like guests, if they don’t feel welcome, they won’t come back. The parks are for the guests, the shareholders are secondary, not the reverse. Can’t have one without the other. If, because of covid, you can’t run full force with a quality caring experience, limit the parks open and motels open, then rotate the days until things can be totally back to usual. Make the Disney experience a positive memory for the guests.

  22. Sue

    No to Bob Iger.

Disney needs to hire someone younger; someone who remembers the old magic of Disney; someone who will take a lesser salary give more back to the cast members. The board should fire both Bob’s and take all their lifetime benefits.

  23. Aaron

At this point in time, Chapek looks like another Eisner, make as much money as you can, while investing none of it.

The fact that Disney stock is going in the wrong direction indicates how well that thought process is working.

  24. Mercedes Rodriguez

Chapek definitely needs to go! He has turned planning and going to Disney into a huge headache and a huge task! It is practically an inconvenience to make reservations to the parks and restaurants. And now we have to pay extra to be able to get on shorter lines? That’s insane! This is supposed to be vacation time with your family or alone. Now we have to stare at our phones to make park reservations, make restaurant reservations, mobile order. Most of us don’t want to spend half our vacation time looking at our phones. Yes, we have to make reservations in advance and before going to Disney, but if we want to change something while at the parks. It’s a hassle and takes up our time when we could be relaxing and enjoying ourselves instead of getting frustrated because we want to try and get reservations for something. It’s supposed to be a magical experience not an aggravation. And taking away the Magical Express was a horrible idea!
They definitely need to fire Chapek ASAP!! He running Disney into the ground! All he wants to do is line his pockets! He is ruining Disney! It’s not the same as it used to be! Bring back the old Disney!!

  25. Marc Disney

Bob Iger returning as CEO? While I’m not a huge fan of Bob Iger, I despise Bob PAYCHECK with a passion! As a stockholder, if I have to choose between the lesser of the two evils, Bob Iger gets my vote over CHEAPek any day!

  26. Jenn

Just because there’s an “internal wager” doesn’t mean there is real talk. Sounds like a water cooler wager. Iger doesn’t want any part of covid Disney-he got out on a high note. And while I’m no fan of Chapek’s decisions, it’s easy to second-guess (and idealize) what another leader would have done-but none had to lead during a pandemic.

  27. Clint Galloway

I’ve been attending WDW about every 2 or 3 years since the early 80s. I just returned from an 8 day stay at the Pop Century and must confess I’m seriously considering whether or not I’ll return. This thread has identified many of the changes that are frustrating guests. (Although I don’t remember the mention of discontinuing the Magical Express, a biggie for me.) I would like to reflect on why I saved my money to repeatedly go to WDW.
A young family with 4 children live next to me in a rural area made up of small farms. Their income, like mine, is well under the 6 figure number. A couple years ago, knowing I was a Disney veteran, the father asked me what I thought of them becoming DVC members. After giving it some thought, aware of their limited resources which made the DVC membership a real stretch, I gave the idea a thumbs up. I explained why. I can’t think of a better place you could take your family and be exposed to the values you want to instill in your children. It is an environment in which you feel secure and are surrounded by people of all cultures who are courteous and joyful. The surroundings are clean, but most importantly they can experience values that bond us to one another: “It’s a Small World”, “Hall of Presidents”, “Living In The Land”, “Carousel of Progress” (the family), and many experiences in the Animal Kingdom. The lists goes on, all manifestations of Walt Disney’s original dream of having a place he could take the family, enjoyable for both parents and children. Every parent dreams of instilling within their children the values that make families important: empathy and compassion. One of Walt’s quotes still posted in WDW is, “You don’t build it for yourself. You know what the people want, and you build it for them.” I would paraphrase that: “You know WHY people come and you let that drive your decisions of what to build.” When I look around at other guests and standing in lines gives you considerable time to do that, I realize many of those have limited means who are there because of what we refer to as the “Magic”. I suspect the “Magic” that has brought people is simply an environment in which caring about one another is palpable. You feel valued. If that erodes, the ultimate demise is probably inevitable simply because the vast majority of us have limited means. Marketing to the “haves” is a near sighted strategy, the people like my neighbor, myself included, bring the Magic; Walt knew that.

  28. Someone needs to come in that is totally different …from the outside of the current company baffoons. There has got to be someone Disney can steal away that is more in tune with Walt’s Dream. Younger person that will stay a long time. Someone that will keep crowds manageable and redesign this horrible Genie + system… I am not against the Individual paid lanes when an expensive ride opens. But they need to redesign the WiFi run rides that keep breaking down all the time..( probably should of been built using Magnets in the floor instead). Disney Parks definitely need help. Just came back from WDW for the fifth time over 15 years. It’s a mess!

  29. Janice

Bring Iger back! He was more concerned about fans being happy with the improvements to Walt Disney’s wonderful park. Making things easier for guests at the park.
Some of the new ideas are too confusing !

  30. BYE BYE BOB!
The stock is down 20 percent. That is all you need to know

  31. ChadMC

The costs are higher as they increase every year, but the costs are not the things that really turn me off to Disney parks right now. You can’t be sporadic anymore. Everything needs to be planned well in advance. This actually started with the fastpass-on-your-phone where you needed to plan out a month ahead. I didn’t care for that system at all. (Then they made it substantially worse with the whole “+” aspect of it.)

I can’t just pick up and go when I want even if paying upwards of $1400 for an annual pass. I can’t go between parks even though it is a ‘hopper’ ticket. I can’t make a reservation to dine unless I use my phone. I can’t order quick service food unless I use my phone. I can’t experience some attractions unless I am willing to stay buried in my phone (the whole virtual queue is complete garbage).

Of course it’s better for the company to have people make those idiotic park reservations. It’s a bad experience for the guest, but of course makes it cheaper for the company to predict how many staff they’ll need. That is the ONLY reason that system is in place.

The elimination of the trams was just a sad cost cutting exercise. I rarely used them as I preferred the walk, but still, this was just being cheap. The elimination of the Magic Express will have big consequences in the long run. It was far more than just a ride to the hotel; it was the ability to get off the plane and get to the parks as soon as possible knowing that luggage was all being handled behind the scenes. It was brilliant.

I can handle the higher costs if I didn’t feel like it was higher costs exclusively for higher profits. The whole genie+ thing is just a huge slap in the face to customers. The ticket prices already increased by more than $15 so why not just include that as part of it? It’s the cheapifying of the experience that gets me. From a value perspective, I get little value at Disney anymore. But I’m willing to pay the high price if the experience were there. Unfortunately, needing to buried in my phone nearly all day long, it’s not the experience that justifies the cost to me. When I go to Disney I want to shut off my phone and escape the world. They have taken that option away now so I pay all that money and stay connected to the outside world – not a good value.

I LOVE Disney, I’m a Disney travel agent and I’m sitting in animal kingdom right now… but I am very disappointed with this trip. No dining plan, ending magical express, no more fast passes, prices have went up on EVERYTHING and not by a little bit. You have purchase the Genie but in order to ride the new Star Wars ride they want you to pay another $15 per person… as an agent they have gotten rid of so many perks that it’s losing a lot of selling points. I have been once or twice a year for the past 10 yrs and unless there are some changes made idk when I’ll come back after this trip and that makes me really sad

As brit, it has always been hard to get to disney as it is. You mostly see the upper class going and going often. People like myself have to save for years in order to visit.

I paid almost £3500 for 2 weeks back in 2019. Not including the flights. I saved for 4 years. My first ever WDW holiday.

I was looking again recently and for the same holiday I did in 2019.. tor 2022 it would be £7,500! Again not including flights. And not including all the perks it did back in 2019, fast pass, transport from airport, magic bands, dining plan. And I’ve heard they are lowering magic hours to only 30 mins before the park opens!

Heartbroken as I absolutely adore Disney and I feel I will never be visiting again.

I love WDW but Paychek has made it so it’s only accessible for the higher class and the rich.

  35. I feel fast passes should be free for everyone. If you are willing to put the time and energy to book ahead in your timeline you should be rewarded. Disney guests should also have early magic hours and extra magic hours for free and not have to buy a after hours party to enjoy them.. Now we are given a half hour in the morning certainly not the same. These extras are what used to made Disney special including the Magical express to and from the parks as well as airline check in at resorts package delivery to resorts. Most families have to think long and hard if they want to book a trip with the increase in food lodging and park tickets. I personally would not bring a young family here now and not be able to book dining fast passes etc 3 to 6 months in advance. Planning for me was part of the fun scanning restaurant menus and watching ride videos . Hopefully things improve and we get someone who is considering the average family not just the wealthy

Oh yay, we’re getting rid of Paychek. Maybe things will get back to normal now! I absolutely love WDW but the way it’s set up right now I wouldn’t go even if I did have the money. Let’s get back to the good old days when all we had to do was buy our tickets, go through the gate and ride the rides without all the idiotic reservations and extra charges!!!

Walt Disney Company under Iger created the Over Crowding and high prices with Annual Pass. Pass Holders were going EVERY WEEK to the Parks and causing Crowds which the Parks were NEVER designed to handle. What is the continual Disney Corporate response to Over Crowding which THEY created? Charge HIGHER admission prices, along with higher food and merchandise prices!
The Walt Disney Company needs a New, Non-Woke, Non-Money Hungry CEO who wants to get back to Walt and Roy Disney’s ideals for the Theme Parks! Profit was not a dirty Word under Walt and Roy (BOTH Conservative Republicans!!), but now it has become the ONLY Theme of the Theme Parks!

    We appriciate
anyone as ceo of the number one entertainment company of the world.
    If its mr BOB again.
I believe Walt Disney will be better again.

  39. Going to the parks used to be fun now you have to navigate through all the tech stuff to even get A ticket and you have to have a reservation before you can get a ticket. And now with a genie and even the virtual line holding it’s a job to to do all of that and it cost more and more each time and you can’t even afford to go to the parks. I know the pandemic has cost a lot of money but you can’t expect the Fans to be the one to make up the deficit! I know the pandemic has caused a lot of hard decisions to be made about layoffs and what to cut, but now you can’t really enjoy the parks because of all the maneuvering and watching your phone looking for texts.
I think there could be some kind of a compromise here without nickel and dime in the people to death.

Yes! Please bring back Bob Iger!

  41. IRIS BURELLI

Josh D’Amaro would keep Walt’s vision and he care for the families. I stopped getting a Annual Pass in 2018, Don’t like what both Bob’s did the Disneyland. This my opinion.

  42. john

yes he has to go, get back to the Disney from a few years ago a lot better and less trouble

  43. Julian H

Sadly unless things change I think around 7 years ago I saw the best of Disney, now days its fallen far short and is so obvious a Cash Grab Nickle and Dime the magic has gone. There is little to no incentive to stay on property and at every turn to save a buck but charge you more, Disney use Covid as the excuse. I will miss you Disney, but I for one and my family have moved over to Universal and will give Disney the thumps DOWN. Not going to waste my money on them. They need to remove Paycheck and I believe Iger should go to. They need new blood, someone that actually cares about the Disney reputation, which is currently in tatters right now.

  44. Jane M Foster

Team Iger! Disney has lost the magic with the decisions made by Bob. I am outraged by the Lightning Lane fees. This was the last straw. How can anyone afford it? Disney is no longer the happiest place on earth at a time that this world needs a little Disney Magic.
