He has turned Disney into Di$new !!!!! Pay for play us NOT Disney. GET RID OF HIM QUICK !!!!!!

  2. Jim

As both a Stock Holder and an Annual Passholder for years I have no issues with Chapek or what is going on in the parks.
None of it impacts why my family continues to vacation at the parks. Which is the creating new memories with my family. It’s not re-riding same rides, or FastPass, or reliving old memories, or even the money. It’s all about the experience for us. And no other company out there does it like Disney. My kids have no ties to the old IP, so I am all for creating new experiences in the Parks that my kids connect to.

    1. Joe S.

There in lies the problem. You are looking at it from both a stock holder point of view AND a annual pass holder. There are tons of people who visit the parks for the first time or only ever get to visit once every few years. For them, it *IS* about riding the rides, enjoying the different experiences, etc. And for those people, they are consistently getting priced out or having their experience worsened due to not being able to ride rides due to Fast Pass+ and now this new Genie system. It’s disgusting to see this new Lightening Lane system go in that just pushes the park more in favor of those with more disposable income. Generally I am all for letting the market play out and supply and demand. But Disney for so many is something special, something different, and inside the parks, everyone should be on equal footing when it comes to the experiences.

      1. Kkb

Agree completely. Where do I sign?

      2. Stephanie

I agree completely. The greed of the shareholders has made Disneyland inaccessible for the middle class families. When I was growing up in the 90’s, a So-Cal pass was $25. Taking inflation into account, that would put it at approx $45 today. But a So-Cal ticket today is $150 if I want to go on a weekend. This has gotten out of hand and I just can’t afford to take my family. This is not what Walt Disney would have wanted. This is shameful greed.

        1. gene palermo

While I completely agree that the fastpass or genie+ should not exist. But I completely disagree with your pricing hate. If tickets to Disney or still only let’s say $50 it would be so mobbed and crowded you wouldn’t be able to do anything in there or they would have to limit the amount of people that could come in and then there would be people that would not be allowed in.

          1. Candace

I disagree with you. They have a way and proved that to keep the crowds low. I know I’ll be one of the only but I’m a fan of the reservation system. It’s great when they actually control the cross and limit daily. They don’t need to over price

      3. Debra Switkowski

Walt Disney created something special for families to spend time together. The initial premise is gone. Disney is now simply about greed. I’m all for paying a fair price in order for the company to make profit, but not a windfall. Most people are now priced out of the experience or have to severely limit their expectations. Maybe before creating these new hugely expensive attractions, ask the people what they want. I understand being competitive but creating attractions only a few can participate it is elitist and cruel. How about something a little more modest?

      4. Michael Burnett

Fire him before it’s to late. Buy back stocks from people who only care about making memories and not riding the rides.and enjoying all that’s great about Disney in the eyes of those who are willing to pay to play. It won’t be long before it affects their stocks. Then we’ll see who will be crying

      5. Janice

I agree with you 1000%. Chapek is all about money. I am sure Walt is turning over in his grave. The idea was for all to be welcome at Disney; Chapek only cares about the rich. I hope he gets booted.

      6. R

Exactly Right. Not to mention his covid (show me your papers) approach. I signed at change.org you should too.

      7. DNL

        Completely agree 👏🏻👏🏻

      8. Graeme Wharton

Totally agree, I travel from UK every few years to Orlando, the cost is now extortionate. I will continue to come to Orlando but for Universal only I can still afford thier prices

    2. Daryl-Rhys Taylor

      You are a sensible man.

    3. yoyo

Yo Jim,,, how much greedy man, anti fan Chapek pay you to say that. Or are you just one of his booty kissing employees.

    4. Julian H

Come on you’re not impacted at all, REALLY, the prices have gone up, you get far less for your money, there are less employees in the parks, many street entertainers that give you that experience were made redundant, parades went fireworks went, hotel overnight parking was now being charged… the list goes on, but you are not impacted, you REALLY ARE – Get rid of Bob Chapek ASAP the guy is a greedy fat cat that has destroyed the parks and the reputation of Disney.

  3. Fred

People need to find better things to do in life! If you don’t like price increases and cost options to skip ride lines then don’t visit the park. If cast members have an issue with pay then look for a better paying job. What he should have done is get rid of the monthly payment option for passes.

    1. John Schubert

Fred, you are an elitist who has privileges that you and only the few can afford. Once I was able to take my family to Disney. Today I couldn’t afford to take only myself the Disney World. If the intent is to make the Disney experience only affordable for the wealthy then that has been achieved.

      1. Daryl-Rhys Taylor

As an accountant this can’t afford argument is nonsense. You can afford anything if you save enough, like everyone has to do before.

        1. R

How much does an accountant make? I promise it’s a lot more than a single mom of one who works 2 jobs as a waitress and receptionist. Just to make ends meet. Her kid would be 20 before she could save enough to bring him. Sad that so many on here refuse to see every day hard working law abiding Americans as anything but a tax payer and scum on their Prada shoes.

          1. Bob

Don’t trust anyone with a hyphenated name..

      2. Janice

        I agree!

    2. Sue

There was a time when Disney pay was better than the average business. My husband worked for Disney in Florida I the early 90s when minimum wage was still only $4.35; at that time Disney’s starting pay was $7; and it went up from there. So Disney was ahead of the times in the 90s, but they are way behind now. My husband is a Director where he works now and he makes 3 times the amount of someone in an equivalent position at Disney who has been there for 30 plus years.

    3. Julian H

Fred – Do you also go by the the name Ebenzer Scrooge? A Cold Hearted Miser. Disney should be for everyone, it was always expensive but now its moved into another league of costs. One has to pay so much more for so much less…

  4. Phoebe L Ho

    He needs to go. Now.

  5. M

Let’s see: Prices skyrocketing, over charging people to cut lines, & as of now not listening to customers that love Splash Mountain & want to #SaveSplashMountain, why am I not surprised the petition is growing everyday.

    1. amj

Unfortunately 71,000 or even 75,000 signatures aren’t even 1 day of admissions to the parks. He could not care any less about this, or about Disney’s values , other then making money.
Now if itcwas close to a milion signatures, maybe there would be a slight change in leadership. But that’s dougthfu.

      1. R

Share the change.org petition on all your social media sights. Get the word out there where people can sign.

  6. Tom

Disney has become a complete disaster due to one factor and that is GREED. The park experience has completely deteriorated, No parades, shows, and overall entertainment. You must pay a premium to see the VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS parade during a 4 hour special ticketed event cost ($169 to $ 249 this is disgusting. They are catering specifically to their MONEY HUNGRY SHAREHOLDERS. Prices are out of control and you are getting less and less and paying more and more. You get shoved into every possible space. I have not witnessed such a quick downfall (Passholder over 30 Years) This is not what Walt Disney envisioned. So So Sad. WHERE CAN I SIGN PLEASE !!!!!

  7. Nick

It’s been horrible, everything from having to make park reservations to transportation cuts. The hotel prices are 2.5x what they were a year ago.
For those that pay the extra to park hop, that is restricted as well. Can’t change parks until 2PM. It’s so unnecessary.
The most expensive theme park in the world to enter, then paying for individual rides like it’s carnival. It’s like the dining plan- the concept is to keep people from thinking they are spending while vacationing.

    1. R

Not to mention: the changes to the rides to make them “woke” or eliminating them entirely. Reducing sizes of meals but increasing the prices, can not find merch in parks because of resalers invade and take entire stock, masking in Florida when there is no law requiring it or even a mandate by the state, the gradual goal of show me your papers to even get in (already in France and Japan), the reservation system, the need to do everything on a cell phone, constantly looking at your phone, the constant overcrowding in small areas, the ridiculous lines, no places to sit, the terrible food, the lack of “special” amenities at the overpriced hotels, the parking fees at hotels and parks, the constant breakdowns and evacuations of rides, the dangerous gondola crashes and break downs, the unkempt rude staff, the utter lack of security visible in the park who do absolutely nothing when fights break out. The list goes on and on. Put the petition on all your social media sites, get the word out. Change.org

As a consumer, it’s easy to say prices are too high when not being able to look behind the curtain at the bigger picture. First off, let’s not forget, right off the bat, price increases go to fund the wage increases of Disney park employees. In addition, the cash flow provided by the parks helps support the production business, growth of Disney+, funding of the cruise ships while that business is shut down, etc.

As an out of stater who only visits the parks every couple of years, I was recently in Orlando and visited all four parks. The waits were ridiculous with multiple rides in each park being 60 minutes or longer. It was tough to get in all the rides in one day. The demand for Disney parks is crazy. As mentioned elsewhere in the comments, lowering prices is only going to cause the parks to be more crowded and may reach capacity limits. Price increase allows the business to fund itself while controlling the demand. Giving people the option to pay extra to skip lines rather than hiking prices across the board provides the additional cash flow to fund the business while keeping it more family friendly as a whole. It gives the family the option rather than apply a requirement.

All that said, restricting the creative side of the Company is something that needs to be paid attention to as it can’t happen. Data is great but allow the creative minds to help the business prosper. But signing the petition strictly on prices isn’t right.

    1. Bob

“First off, let’s not forget, right off the bat, price increases go to fund the wage increases of Disney park employees.”

LOL, thanks for that, I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time.

      1. Kássio

This is so ridiculous. A petition to change a PRIVATE company CEO. Loooool this people need to get a job.

  9. Lindsey

The thing that hurts me the most is the lack of entertainment throughout the parks under his reign. I completely understand that we’re still in a pandemic but from both a CM & consumer point of view, I can tell that the quality of merchandise, shows & attractions is going down but the price is rising. Do I WANT to pay more money? No! But if the quality was still the priority, I’d be much happier spending my time & money in the parks.

  10. DL

I’m going to be honest: I don’t care that much about Disney being expensive. If it isn’t, the park will just end up being packed every day of the year. Not sure how to get around that with the demand being as high as it is these days.

What I don’t appreciate is the quality being cut at the same time as prices going up. By all means, increase prices (ideally without nickeling and diming everything — just raise ticket prices). But at the very least maintain or improve the quality.

    1. Bob

Yes! The annual passes should be $7000 and everything, including food, should be included.

  11. Don’t forget we need to make a petition to fired Josh D’Amaro an cancel culture everything he’s done!

  12. Richeffect

The prices will drop if people just stopped going. It’s simple capitalism. While my family and I were able to experience DL several times, the last time was the last time. The prices are just ludicrous now.

  13. AM

Genie+ was announced years ago under Iger. Price increases happen every year. They just seem worse now due to how much they lost last year. They also have to recoup their spending from when Iger was running everything. It sucks but as a result I personally have decided to do better things with my money. Chapek isn’t the problem, he is the result of it.

  14. Candace

#firepaycheckChapek !!! He is the worst thing that has ever happened to the parks. He’s greedy and is a pure elitist that only cares about one thing… money….
I’m shocked at the state the parks are in as well. It’s really sad

    1. Ron Josey

I have been going to the parks for 30 years. It was a magical place. I would tell anyone who would listen, you pay your money, go in, and do what you want for as many times as you wanted. Now, the new CEO is changing it to just another money grabbing business. The magic is slowly dying.

  15. DeAnna

As the story goes, Walt Disney created Disneyland & WDW to be a place that both children & parents could enjoy. Today, most parents can’t afford to bring their children because Disney has gotten so expensive. On top of that, many of the perks have been taken away, making it much less of a value to visit. The very essence is Walt Disney & the magic of WDW is being stripped away and it’s being turned into just another theme park. I think Walt & Roy are turning over in their graves watching what’s happening.

  16. Mickeymouse3

Bob Paycheck started ruining the parks while he was in charge of them under Iger. Iger is also to blame for what Disney is becoming, since he groomed Paycheck and gave his blessing for him to take over. Now Paycheck is ruining Disney as a whole, not just the parks. D’Mara may be a creative type of guy who has been reined in by Paycheck, but I’m not so sure he should be the one to head up Disney as a whole, as many have suggested.

    1. JW

As a DVC member, annual passholder, and a stockholder, Disney is falling apart under Chapek…not sure how great Iger was or if D’Amaro would be any better. Leaving WDW today after being here a week. The genie+, etc., was a mess. Couldn’t get on app half the time and cell service was very spotty. Lines/crowds were awful. I don’t want to get up at 7 am in the day of my park reservations to make plans…that’s not relaxing. Also prior to the Christmas party this past Sunday, the hub of Magic Kingdom was wall to wall people waiting for the fireworks. No social distancing here so why are we still being required to make park reservations? WDW refers to their customers as “guests.” Used to make sense with all the perks, etc., guests were given. But charge for resort parking, require park reservations, cut magical express, cut free magic bands, reduce ability to park hop, cut free fast passes…we’re not guests anymore…just a way to make more $$$ for the greedy. Disney needs a serious change of leadership. Soon!

  17. June Newton

Get rid just thinking about putting money in his own pocket not thinking of those on low income who can’t afford to pay for rides

  18. Claire Crain

I would sign up in a minute to get him out. Disney is no longer about memories and fun. It is about the almighty dollar and how much can be squeezed out of visitors. I don’t want to buy Genie and spend sll day paying fir rides or trying to get the app to work.

    1. R

Go sign it. Put it on all your social media sites, get the word out.

      1. JW

I also saw the large majority of people with their noses in their phones during their time at the parks…this is supposed to be a fun vacation? I’d rather leave my phone at the hotel! Disney has taken all the fun and enjoyment out of a WDW trip.

  19. jo

71,000 is not enough. Come on Disney fans, sign that petition. Greedy man Chapek has ruined a fun vacation. Just returned from Disney World. I sat and watched people with faces in phones running into each other. Unhappy, grumpy people. Cast not very helpful. I will say the cast at our hotel were very helpful and patient as they were trying to teach me about Genie+. I only used it for rides. First time we didn’t a meal inside a park. This was 10th visit to disney world. Last of nephews so I don’t have to go anymore. It was difficult to book rides all on same part of park so we were walking across park several times a day. With Fast pass I booked our 3 rides in Fantasy Land and then rides in Tomorrow Land so were were not going back and forth across parks. Had genie + for Haunted Mansion and stood in line 35 min. Genie not a good thing.

  20. Bridget B

I’m still angry about all the Disney Stores closing. Some of us can’t go to the Parks and the stores were our families magic place. He does want $$$ and due to Covid he decided to concentrate on Disney+ and making $$ at the Parks. He is ruining Disney because of simple “keep the shareholders happy”. I already signed because he will eventually ruin what Disney was suppose to be about FAMILIES!!!

  21. Barb304

I proudly and at the same time angrily signed the petition. CHAPEK NEEDS TO GO ASAP!!!

  22. Douglas Vitrano

He has absolutely no more magic in working as CEO for the Walt Disney Company! For him it’s money money this, money money that, anything I can do to drop what guests want or like and makes my income and wallet look fat. #FireBobChapek

  23. binki

Other than the reservation system which is making pass holders angry there is nothing to see her. AP prices can more than double and they would still sell them.

Disney has never been inexpensive. Walt was a ruthless businessman and nothing about what is going on now is in conflict with that.

Get over it. Single day passes could be $400 and AP $4,000 and the place would still be packed. Just look at all the private tours paying $700/hr.

At the end of the day, you vote with your dollars. Don’t go. If enough people did that then you will get what you want. Otherwise it is what it is.

  24. Sue Bruinsma

If we don’t replace Chapek NOW, you can bet your mouse ears the park(s) will continue to go downhill FAST.

  25. Bren

I didn’t realize until Chapek was promoted that he had been the one in charge of Disney parks. I knew years ago things seemed to be changing. The quality of merchandise had gone down. Same merchandise from year to year. Only going once a year we always set aside some souvenir money to find that one special thing to remind us of our trip. The last two years, before Chapek was head of Disney, we couldn’t find anything of quality. It was all plastic overpriced garbage. Gone was finding unique items in each land. Gone was hearing “have a magical day” after purchasing items. Gone were the clean restrooms. Now I understand who was in charge of seeing my beautiful Disney World go downhill. Now he is heading the whole company down the tubes. Until he’s gone, and they get back to their roots, we won’t be stepping foot in a Disney park. I guess the bright side is I don’t have to worry about spending a lot of money for a lesser experience any time soon. And I can still look around my living room and see all the beautiful items we had found during our first 14 years going, and nothing from the last 3 years. Sad, truly sad.

  26. Charmaine Nick

There is no magic! Walt Disney wanted the park to be affordable for families! Greed has taken over family values or ability to afford the park! Construction was never “seen” it was hidden away allowing for the Magic to be revealed once construction was completed, we use to attend 3-4 times a year, but went once last year and doubt we will be able to afford it next year! The resorts are outrageous ! Charge me to park in guys parking lot, but I have to park in your parking lot to stay at your resort! Parking is ridiculous! Seriously why charge so much for someone to enter your parks ? It’s just not the Disney if 10 years ago! It’s lost it’s magic and appeal!

  27. Marc Disney

Good! I’m so pleased to hear that this petition is gaining momentum. I’ve already signed it and I would gladly find it again if it would help to remove that arrogant jerk from his current position in the company any faster. Walt Disney believed in creating a place for families to have fun together and Chapek believes in creating a place where only the rich will be able to enjoy themselves. After firing 32,000 as members and lying his face off about how badly he felt about the decision, he bought a 12.5 million dollar house with the money he could have used to pay the cast members who make the Magic. Needless to say, it’s time for this money-hungry hypocrite to go!

I hope the petition reaches 100,000 by 🦃 Day! Chapek is tarnishing the Walt Disney Brand!

We have lost Disney Stores, they don’t look after their Cast Members, Theme Parks are a ‘price gauge experience’ (there is no Disney Magic experience – unless you pay extra for that!) Imagineers are retiring, or putting in their notices (so that they can go work someplace else) vs being forced to relocate from California to Florida!

Josh is the type of CEO the Walt Disney Company needs!

  30. Aaron Cobb

I’ve been going to Disneyworld every year since 1979 and since I Iger took over the park experience as a whole has consistently diminished every year. More so in the past 4 to 5 years. The Bob and Bob show must go. Someone fresh and more balanced needs to step in. I get that they need keep investors happy however the reason I don’t mind spending a extreme amount of money every year is because the place isn’t universal or six flags. If that is what Bob is going to turn the place into I don’t mind going to one of those places and spending less money instead.

  31. Matthew Brewster

I signed the petition. I urge ALL Disney fans do the same. We must get rid of this clown before he wrecks the Company!!!

  32. Paul Kasper
