I have cancelled my Disney trip two years in a row.
My worry is how many Floridians don’t want to get their Vaccine. If your from Orlando there is a good chance you work in the entertainment or tourism industry and not getting the vaccine to help stop the spread is a big worry to me.
They are dropping thankfully, but still very high. The State of Florida has a very high rate still of Covid-19, its good news that they are dropping but the spread is still very much there.
What are you smoking? Turn off all mainstream media please and look at actual statistics. FL is currently 48th for COVID cases in the country…out of 50. You can get much lower than that. Vermont, on the other hand, with the highest “fully vaccinated” population, is #1.

I’m from California got the heck out of there earlier this year. This whole time we were literally locked down and could barely go outside even to the beach, small businesses were closed etc. yet their cases remained one of the highest. They are also one of the most vaccinated. The data proves that the vax doesn’t stop the spread. Just look at Israel for example. The reason Florida is doing well because of the treatments we are able to get here. Plus heard immunity.
Great, so when will common sense kick in (as it has with Universal Orlando) and the unscientific mask mandates will be dropped? I know they like selling the useless cloth masks with the Goofy nose for $10 so you can constantly take it on and off while shifting indoor to out (because the virus is apparently not around the outdoors you see, but it’s catastrophic the two minutes you’re on the Toy Story ride while you’re 2-year old tries to take it off), but at SOME point common sense has to come back to Orlando. So when? Because I won’t be booking any trips until this idiocy is over. I prefer Disney but I’ll happily take my clan to Universal if this persists.

My son and I were just there last week. Fabulous trip, still huge Disney fans and can’t wait to plan our next Disney trip! BUT the on-off-on-off with the masks was awful. Makes no sense and is backed by no science. My son got yelled at by Cast Members for having his mask off or down so many times it was comical. Crazy. I hope by our next trip the masks are gone. Everyone have a Magical Day and be kind to each other!!

there m ay be hand sanitizer stations all around the park, but we ride 6-7 rides every time we go to one of the parks (about 1-2 times a week) and at least half of them are always empty……..

Agreed, in fact last year I had pneumonia for over 2 months because one my primary dr wouldn’t help me. She blamed it on COVID and wouldn’t help me further even though I gave her a neg. Covid test, so I had to go to a different dr that found out it was pneumonia. I know it was because of the mask. I went out shopping with family and while we were out I felt a sharp pain in my chest. Within a week I was extremely sick. I was in a locked down state. So it wasn’t like I was just freely doing things. Follow all the protocols. After that I knew it was all crap. I stopped wearing the mask. I did get Covid, from my in-laws. My mother made us soup while she was sick. Had the sniffles, before she got her positive test back. Within a few days I was down and out with Covid. And that was this year. The mandates don’t work! And either does the vax. There are so many who got the vax and still got sick and ended up in the hospital….. I haven’t gotten it again since and I rarely use the mask. Natural immunity is a real thing.

Agreed! I came from Comifornia, I can honestly say I’m so blessed to be in Florida now! Our governor is awesome and he follows the true science. Gruesome Newsome is a tyrant. He went to an expensive dinner while the rest of us were locked down, unable to live our lives or work. And the numbers in Comifornia are much worse, plus Newscum killed many nursing homes patients.

I know more people that have been hospitalized or died from covid than those that have had a negative reaction to the vaccine. If you want to talk about stats, you need to make note of the number of people that also died as well and also the number of people in the hospital that are sick that didn’t get the vaccine compared the the number of people who did. Also, some people who have survived it have long lasting effects after recovering, so it’s not just a simple thing to get over.

I would love to go but I am in high risk category and until the narcissistic Fox News watchers who deny scientific evidence, I will not be going to any Disney or Universal Parks. It’s hard to believe that when I was a child, Smallpox vaccines were being given and nobody fought against it. Neither did they resist when Measles, Mumps, and Rubella were administered. Last time I was at Disney was the day before they closed. One of the most memorable and magical trips. The management since reopening has gone way off the deep end. They have destroyed all the magic. We have gone to many other theme parks throughout this “pandemic” and it was completely normal. Just spent 12 days at Disney and Universal Studios. Disney has indoor masking except when eating in a restaurant. At Disney, employees would remind you if you were not marked in the appropriate areas. All Disney employees were masked. Universal encourages following CDC guidelines. Most people were not masked indoors at Universal. Workers there were not masked at Universal. There was no social distancing in any lines at Disney or Universal. Thousands of people, especially on Columbus Day weekend.
We all felt very safe being at the parks. We all masked indoors as it was required at Disney but just did it at Universal. Obviously it would have been better with no masks, but life is what you make it. We had a great vacation.

At Disney, employees would remind you if you were not marked in the appropriate areas. All Disney employees were masked. Universal encourages following CDC guidelines. Most people were not masked indoors at Universal. Workers there were not masked at Universal. There was no social distancing in any lines at Disney or Universal. Thousands of people, especially on Columbus Day weekend.
We all felt very safe being at the parks. We all masked indoors as it was required at Disney but just did it at Universal. Obviously it would have been better with no masks, but life is what you make it. We had a great vacation.
