Splash Mountain Brer Rabbit and all is very popular right now. Want evidence, look at the wait times. When Disney announced the change to Princess and the Frog to satisfy a minority woke group, the ride became even more popular. High demand for merchandise caused them to shut down the store (next to the attraction) when shelves were emptied. Currently, they are probably limiting purchases. People want to experience this ride as many times as they can before Disney closes it down. I think they should reopen the railroad first (it’s been closed the longest) before closing Splash.
I agree with the first poster. Caving to the woke crowd isn’t the answer, especially when most don’t even know the movie Splash Mountain is based upon, or they’ve never seen it. It’s a wonderful story of a boy struggling with his parents’ separation who makes a best friend who happens to have a different skin color, and he is comforted by stories told to him by Uncle Remus, stories that end up having important lessons. Also, the first black female Academy Award winner Hattie McDaniel is in the movie, and you get to hear her sing! Thanks to cancel culture, many are being robbed of experiencing this piece of her work.
The Save Splash Mountain petition on Change.org gotten so many petitions than the Splash Mountain re theme. We are going to win.
Other than that this Splash Mountain re theme is not going to share the same success as the Tower of Terror re theme.
Actually, they were already thinking of updating it before all that had happened had happened. Yall need to stop blaming others for this and realize that Disney has been updating things over and over to keep things fresh and it just so happens to be splash mountain’s turn
I love how Splash Mountain is so offensive that they’re removing it ONLY in their US parks, but not offensive enough to remove it in their overseas parks. It’s completely hypocritical. If Disney thought this IP was that offensive, they wouldn’t want any iteration of it existing anywhere in their company. That to me proves this was just a political move, and nothing else. Nothing but a huge virtue signal.
You make it sound like every disney park has a splash mountain. Last I checked, there is only 1 outside the US and who’s to say they won’t change at some point when they are able to actually do it. We are still dealing with a pandemic right now.
Oriental Land Company, the company that runs Disneyland Tokyo has already stated they will NOT be rethemeing Splash Mountain. They refused to damage one of their most popular attractions.
Everywhere I looked shows that they haven’t said yes or no to it, just that they are considering it. So unless you have an article about it, I think you are making stuff up.
Splash Mountain was never offensive. It’s trolls like you who are offensive and make up hateful fantasies just to hate something for no reason at all. All because you are deluded and misguided. Besides, it might lose customers and they might want to go to the asian parks instead.
The trolls are ones who told lies, about things like saying things like the ride or moves being offensive (which is a lie) based off their blind hatred, misguidance of course. We seen plenty of these trolls. Lol.
Well, the person you said that is a troll is the one saying it’s offensive sarcastically. Also, that’s not what a troll is. A troll is someone who genuinely says anything just to upset or anger others, not because it opposes others views. Just so you know
I love splash mountain and was excited my husband and daughter got to experiance it this year. I’m also excited for the new update. Some of you forget this is Disney and theres a ton of new movies. Future generations aren’t watching movies like Brer Rabbit anymore, at all… its time to update a little for the future generations. Time to move on. Stop acting like 3 year olds having tantrums because mom and dad told you no.
Not true. If they truly were thinking about changing it, then why was the 30th anniversary something to celebrate? They went all out. Accept it. Nobody wants the change except a small tiny minority who have the audacity to call themselves Disney fans. Sounds like a certain someone I’m talking to rn.
Then that’s not nobody lol. I love when people assume wrong. I just like the idea of an update to the ride. Disney himself said the park is never complete, why does that mean you can’t update or retheme the rides for something better? Sounds more like you aren’t a true Disney fan 😛
No, a non true Disney fan would expresss lies out of blind hate and misguidance for no reason. Change may be nice, but it does not always work. Expansions and new additions may be a fine thing, but it does not mean at the expense of another. Besides old stuff are known to return too, just like the Frogs in Jungle Cruise.
There’s nothing wrong with the ride. It’s as popular as ever. You have to be a real idiot to be upset with a rabbit outsmarting a Fox and a bear. They fixing the ride up. Disney knows Splash is popular and they can’t be that stupid to re-theme it. Build Tiana somewhere else.
I agree with you. This has gone to far since last year. Plus they are not doing a very good job at this.
Other than that this is not going to share the same success as the Tower of Terror re theme.
All we hear is words out of your mouth, but found no source of scheduled construction. And the link to this so called permit says nothing about Splash Mountain. This feels like a publicity stunt that they haven’t put up with. And if I didn’t know any better, you just put up that story just to draw attention like you do in most of the pages. So I can’t count on what’s true.
There is literally nothing wrong with this ride. There are no human animatronics only animals, nothing racist about it. Disney should just upgrade anything that needs fixing and keep the attraction as is. It is already extremely popular and doesn’t need to be changed. Build Tiana the new ride she deserves…we all know if this goes through it’s going to be done on the cheap and maybe reuse a few animatronics and Tiana’s AA will probably have a projection face like frozen.
I agree with you on your comment.
Disney is being lazy and not paying attention to us Disney fans.
Other than that this Splash Mountain re theme is not going to share the same success as the Tower of Terror re theme.
Splash Mountain should of never be changed. I agree it’s a good ride and story.
Disney’s board needs to step up to Big Bob, let’s get back to Walt and Roy’s dreams and a fun family
Disney parks. The cost of a family vacation at any Disney park it totally getting out of sight.
Ah yes the retheming nobody asked for. The movie is practically impossible to find. When Disney rethemes Splash Mountain it will be proof that Disney doesn’t care about their fans. Watch the hall of presidents get canceled next due to some presidents being slave owners. I don’t even think BLM went up against Splash Mountain. Disney is pissing off their right wing and left wing fans with this. Song of the South had racist jokes in it but so did many other Disney films. One of the most popular songs in Peter Pan is connected to a racial slur. So let’s cancel Peter Pan’s Flight. Let’s cancel every single Disney movie made before 1960 due to being racist somehow. The people who want to remove it are the offices at Disney. Who are white(who probably make up the woke majority)Last time I went to Disney was right before the lockdown and I rode Splash Mountain. We still have it in our memories. Disney Parks are no longer the happiest place on earth they are now the wokest place on earth.
What fans really need is to rethemed pirate and the carribean ride into a brand new the princess and the frog ride. Plus rethemed restrant bayou blue into tiana’s place only at new olreans sqaure at disneyland park at disneyland resort california. That’s is truly what princess Tiana was thinking about this whole time. cause she’s born in new olreans Louisiana her hometown where’s her story begins to the very end. And besides she’s wouldn’t like it here at critter country anyway!
With the monorails falling apart, no night time parade and the wretched Figment ride still in existence, it’s curious that they would decide to redo one of their most beloved and popular attractions when it does not need it at all. The only reason this is being done is because of the BLM protest that popped up in 2020 and it is based on a 75 year old movie that a huge portion of the population hasn’t even seen. There is not one offensive thing on that ride. Not one!
