Well, who dreamed that stupid new rule up?! But since Pop has magically returned to cafeteria style lines and ordering (and good riddance to FORCED mobile ordering), if you’re at AofA just take Skyliner over to Pop and get their food that way.
I noticed that the Riveria says the same…..only resort guest are allowed to mobile order from their quick service. Pray tell, can we still just place a normal (non mobile) order at these places or have they banned all orders from people not staying at the resort?
It’s probably so that the people that are actually staying there can get food and not have to wait two or more hours for it to be ready. It’s no different, in my opinion, than pools only being for guests of that resort.
Pop and AoA have the same menu, so what was the point to begin with? QS at resorts should be limited to those that are actually staying there. I don’t see a problem with this. You can’t drive to say, AK Lodge, Coronado, or Wilderness Lodge and get through the gates without being a resort guest or having a dining reservation. It shouldn’t be any different for resorts where you can essentially bypass the security gate by walking or taking a form of Disney transportation.
This is ridiculous. As APs we love to travel the World and sample treats from all over the WDW resorts. There has never been a long line, except when the resorts reopened and were getting the bugs out, lol. Now you order, they put it on a table in a bag with your name on it. They’ve never run out of food.
Now there are places that no longer require mobile orders at all. Just like the old days!
Part of the magic at Disney was experiencing the various resorts and their meals. We always loved resort hopping and trying their menus. Wonderful experience out of the parks but still in Disney.

Walk
The Skyliner is between the two resorts, so you just have to walk over.

Lol, I just read Kelly Coffee’s article. Today, Pop Century resort no longer requires mobile orders. So relax people!
