Just rode that this past week. EPIC. As a park guest, we were transformed to a group of escaping rebels. The ride consisted of us moving room to room while we were watched by Empire officials (actors) and climbing aboard a ship to escape. The ride moved fast, was full of action and, candidly, required more than one ride to absorb all the action and dialogue. Likely the best ride I’ve ever been on.
Too bad Disney designed a ride that 90% of paid guests can’t ride. There is no point in going back to DW if there is no hope of riding this. And don’t ask for more money to ride it either.
That number is very far from accurate. Lately there have been boarding groups available well after the afternoon window. Not sure why you think only 10% get on with well over 150 boarding groups per day
They’re literally about to open the regular standby line for the ride, giving everyone an opportunity to wait in line just like any other attraction. Just be glad you weren’t there during the opening weeks when everyone had to be at the park at 5am prior to the park opening at 6 in order to secure a boarding pass. Honestly, as crazy as that experience was, I’m happy I got to experience that madness. Certainly once in a lifetime 😂
Why do they call it a ride when hardly anyone can ride it. The q’s are filled before the park even opens and the afternoon Q’s aren’t any better. The only anyone can experience it is to watch it on YouTube.
My only complaint about this ride is that there’s too much dead space in between show scenes. There’s more travelling around empty hallways and corridors than anything else.
Amazing ride but wasn’t made to handle the crowds at DW. I was there for 35% capacity and was surprised that not everyone was able to ride. It just doesn’t move the amount of people through like other rides can. Now with “Individual Attraction Selection” they can charge us a sliding scale price in addition to our park ticket price.
I hate the virtual que! The ride is the best! It is the only thing worthwhile at Disneyland.
Web Singer; SUCKS! So not worth more than a ten minute wait!
Awful, stop putting money into a worthless galaxy !
Galaxy’s edge us full of nothing !
Where is star wars!!!!!
$75.00 for 5 short beers
Over $250.00 for a light saber
No shows that last more than short minute
Maybe they are going to do something with the end part where you get off. That area seems like an after thought. We do not plan to pay extra to be assured of riding this ride. We aren’t in that crowd. I was glad we did get on last time or my spouse would have been a sour puss all day. People need to rise up and say no to Genie+, but I don’t think they will.
This ride is overrated. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great ride but the hype surrounding it is overblown. The worst thing about this ride is the boarding pass system. Let people get in line and wait. The wait times will work themselves out. I absolutely despise the system where some get a boarding pass and others don’t.

Maybe they are reworking it to be moff Gideon imperial remnant era ship and going to decouple Batuu from sequels and into mandalorian timeframe

Meh. Definitely a top 15 Disney ride. And I love Star Wars, but meh.
