We’re retirees who have been debating about leaving the Orlando area (and probably Florida) and this may be the thing that tips our decision to get out of here.

One reason to love Orlando is the ability to enjoy entertainment. A Fast Pass+ for annual passholders allows you to figure out what park on what day and plan your Disney day. This is a deal breaker. $15 a day on top of the cost of entry?

Our Universal pass gives us access to the fast lanes after 4pm. Disney needs to do something similar, but Chapek doesn’t value AP, so who knows?

Time for me to get serious about leaving here.

As a new retired person I was looking forward to more frequent trips to Disney World. Unfortunately this wont be happening with the price gouging ! I don’t know who is making these decisions but they do not care about the average family

Talk about making it impossible to just leave your phones behind and check out of technology for the day.

Talk about destroying decades’ worth of learning how to avoid crowds because now an AI will be pushing people everywhere constantly.

Talk about the absolute ******** of charging people the same amount of money while taking things away.

Talk about once and for all making it very, very clear that Disney no longer actually cares about making a good experience for guests, no matter what they claim.

This is the first step in Disney scheduling everything while at on the Disney property. As technology progresses, they will schedule every minute you’re in the park, telling you what to ride and when to eat. This will give them the ability to control crowd size at the park and in each area within the park. While it doesn’t sound relaxing, it might benefit the guest in reduced lines and being able to do what you want to do.

Does this mean Chapek is paying my cell phone bill while I am there. Or at least I will write that time off on taxes. Had a job that required I use my personal cell phone as I was driving alot. I wrote bill off for that whole year. You can’t require someone to use personal stuff without paying for it.

odd how this crazy greedy Chapek says how great fans will love this genie thing yet no comments seem to be for it at all.

Awful !!!! Does Disney know how many nice middle class families pinch pennies while budgeting for a family vacation?!?!?! This is a disgrace. People have put up with overpriced toys at every ride exit. $7 ice cream cones and, $25 parking (in swampland) $60-120 lunches. Keep paper or phone FastPass (we should have an option). Either raise the price on EVERYONE or don’t do this. it’s already the most expensive day of the year for most people. I think people will stop going!!! Instead of making the parks an annual thing, families will go once and say, “check” been there, done that, once was enough. Shame on you.

Add to this tye factvthat those staying in the most expensive hotels get extra time in the Parks! What a shame this executive board has ruined Disney! It will now be known as Rich Msn’s Vacation Spot!

We’ve been going down to Disney World for 35 years and although we have put up with the heavy increases in the cost of everything, especially the ticket price, this is the straw that will break the camel’s back. We will not give in to this obvious money grab. we won’t be back ! No, it is not for the guest’s benefit. Don’t try to BS us. Feel sorry for all the middle class families, and their kids, that are now priced out of attending because of the costs. BTW, they just announced record profits !

We need somebody to lead us in getting rid of Chapek!

Disney is re-imagining our pocketbooks. Interesting that this month coincides with the 50th anniversary of Disney World. Paying for tickets and then having them pay for Genie plus which doesn’t include all rides and then pay extra for attractions such as space mountain is a pure money grab
