Love this! As someone who can’t afford Golden Oak, we recently purchased in DW Sunbridge (love the location, amenities, master plan, etc.) but would definitely consider flipping over to a Disney 55+ community in the same development (Sunbridge is going to be amazing as it continues to get built out over the next decade) if it captures the Disney magic and we can afford it!

It is going to be soooo expensive that no one is going to be able to afford it. Furthermore if they do this one of the perks should be free admission to the parks! Because you probably are not going to afford to do anything else.

How can we sign up to be considered?

I would love to know more. We are looking for a retirement home in that area

Is there going to be an admission charge every time you enter?

There is a community……..HARMONY which looks great and has many developmental possibilities
It is about 30 mins from Lake Nona but more room….

The Villages does not have a very good reputation in my book. Will this place be more welcoming of diversity, inclusion and respect?

No the everyday middle class can’t afford to live in area’s like this. Can’t someone build affordable housing for everyone

The Villages are too far away. Personally, I want to be close to Disney, Universal, Sea World, and most importantly, the airport. Seniors like to travel. I come and go monthly.

Sign me up! I’m currently looking in that area for that type of housing. I’m so disappointed with most senior communities in the Orlando area. I hope they develop it to have an area like Disney Springs: restaurants, outdoor music, bowling, and a Waterpark with a lazy river. Guess I’m still a kid at heart.

Hoping it will be affordable, and if so where do I sign up.

My husband and I hope to retire and move to Florida in 2 years. This sounds like it would be a great place to live if houses are affordable for a middle income retirement budget. I am going to keep an eye out for more information on this development.

No more 55+ communities… Just make a normal, inclusive community.

I think its great, my wife works for Disney and it would great to live in this community.

  11. Prices start in the mid-$800s for a starter, semi-detached townhome up to those interested and will run to around $2.3M for a single family home.

What’s stupid is no normal person can afford the retirement communities housing prices. I have been looking and can’t afford any of them. Hello we are retired senior’s on a fixed income so make it affordable for us. If I can afford it I would love to live here since my family is Disney fanatics.

Try Reunion resort in Kissimmee next to Celebration $200’s too as much as you want to spend.

We would love a home as close to WDW area as possible. This sounds great and if the $ allows we would be very interested. However it would be nice to have something that could be passed down to our children someday. The retirement community plan, as nice as that may be would not leave us that option. I would hope area would gain value so I’m sure they would have no problem selling years down road. Hope we see you real soon as Mickey would say!!
