My family and I prefer to watch new movies at home. With the uncertainty of Covid and its variants, we feel safer not attending indoor events. If the movies can only be scene in theaters, we will just wait for them to come to the pay channels (HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, Encore). It is not worth our lives to take a chance and go to the theatre right now!

I still prefer theaters! I saw Raya and the Last Dragon and Jungle Cruise in theaters. Even with this Delta Variant, I want the movie going experience to still be passed down to our children and their children.

We’ve enjoyed watching movies at home. When we did the math of movie tickets and snacks, home is cheaper and more flexible with kids. Not to mention safer with the pandemic raging in FL. Sad to hear that the next Marvel film will only be in theaters. We will probably have to wait for it on Disney+.

Wait til you see the sales #s for theater only movies… it’s not gonna be pretty. Time will not be kind to the movie theater.

I also prefer the big screen theater experience. Much more immersive in my opinion and I will continue to support the theaters when I can. Even when the studios were holding movies and there wasn’t much new to see I still went. Saw some encore performances of things I had already seen and a couple of beloved classics that released before I was born. My family and I have plans to see something in the theater this coming weekend in fact.
