Disney Guests were ecstatic when they found out The Festival of the Lion King was returning to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Currently operating as a slightly modified version and called A Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King, this fan-favorite show made its comeback on May 15 and has welcomed back Guests ever since.
However, we have some great news to share regarding A Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King as we have just discovered more showtimes have been added for this live entertainment offering!
Currently, Guests can catch A Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King at Disney’s Animal Kingdom at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., or 5:00 p.m., as seen in the screenshot below.
However, come the end of the month, the theme park is adding more showtimes so Guests have even more opportunities to catch this incredible show!
Starting Saturday, July 31, A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King will show at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m., as seen in the screenshot below.
The two new showtimes that have been added to A Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King are 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. If you are planning to visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom in the near future to catch this fan-favorite show, be sure to check the My Disney Experience app for the most up-to-date showtimes.

“A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King” will be presented in a modified format to be mindful of the current environment. Adjustments to the show have been made onstage and backstage, including updates to choreography and temporarily pausing some show elements to allow for appropriate physical distancing.
Seating will be limited for the show and is not guaranteed with park admission. Guests should check My Disney Experience app, in-park tip boards or speak with a Cast Member at Harambe Theatre for queue information and show availability, which is subject to change.
