i like it. i think disney needs to build a new park to be what epcot was meant to be. a city of the future.

They’ll never be “Original Epcot” without Horizons, or Imagination.

They’ll never be “Original Epcot” with GOTG, replacing Universe of Energy, half of Comunicore torn up for a water feature themed to Moana and whatever the hell the oil rigs are doing on the lagoon for 90% of the time the park is open and not doing a nightime show.

  4. This definitely reminds me of the old saying that goes if it ant broke why fix it .
I guess it’s going back to being not broken ?I can’t wait to see the old new again.

Epcot is one of my favorite parks but it is the most neglected park they own. It’s long overdue that they spend money on Epcot. Epcot has limped along with festivals for far too long. The future world pavilions, movies, and rides are old, worn out, and have needed attention for over a decade. The Imagination ride and pavilion are the worst and are a slap int the face to Walt Disney, who I suspect would be embarrassed of that whole area and ride. It’s especially awful given that Disney and their imagineers are supposed to be the pinnacle of imagination, innovation, design, and ideas and have yet done nothing with that ride in over a quarter of a century. Shameful. Given how slow they progress at building even one ride these days, I wish whey would have closed off the entire Future World section, and left World Showcase open for shopping and dining. They could possibly finish construction faster not having to work at night and around thousands of guest.

As long as they’re spending all this money, bring back the original Journey into Imagination, with Figment and the Dreamfinder.

EPCOT attractions have been left to languish and would be an embarrassment to Walt, but realize that Walt is now an embarrassment to the current Walt Disney Company management. They can’t easily distance themselves from Walt, but they are doing everything just about the opposite way Walt Disney would have done things.

As long as they’re spending all this money, bring back the original Journey into Imagination, with Figment and the Dreamfinder. Nobody likes the new one. Nobody.

      Fingers crossed!

Returning to old fonts on signs doesn’t solve the problems with Epcot. How about returning to attractions that appeal to the whole family, not just market niches.

Bring back fastpass… That will bring the old Epcot back!!

All of Epcot has started going downhill since Eisner’s reign of tomfoolery with the company. He was the one who decided to incorporate Mickey and the other Disney characters inside the park, which was against the original intent of the park. Since then, it’s been one ride after another that either gets torn down completely or revamped to be rethemed after one of the existing characters that have little to no relation to Epcot at all. And now with Chapek on the seat of power actually revealing that he was going to make Epcot more Disneyfied than before, it’s gotten much worse.

Having the rides be turned into what Chapek sees is already bad enough. But I think the biggest crime would be for them to retheme Journey Into Imagination into anything else and not bring the Dreamfinder back with Figment. The least they could do is refurb the place by adding in a few pieces of what the first version of the ride was, but put in more new things related to Imagination and make an entirely new story with Dreamfinder and Figment guiding us along the way. We already know they the Imagineers are already working on something for Figment at least on “One Day At Disney,” so it’d better be good. And Tony Baxter’s feature film, PLEASE let it become a reality!
