Speak with your wallet, people. Cancelling my upcoming 8K trip tomorrow am. And good luck getting people to vaccinate when you take away the incentives to do it.

    1. Bruce

C’mon Drew… it’s not that hard; we live in Orlando and survived all of last summer masking while OUTSIDE at WDW. Small price to pay for a little semblance of normalcy. Get the shot, mask up, have fun.

      1. Sue

I live here as well and Demings relies on your fears to comply with tyranny. Masks are useless.

        1. I’d love to see the site that shows masks are useless so I can show my friends.

          1. Melissa

Look on the box of the masks you are wearing. 90% of people are wearing the blue masks you can get on amazon and right on the box it says “does not prevent the spread of disease”, show your friends that!

      2. Deb

Bruce, I think you missed the point of what he was saying. 8K is a lot of money to spend if you don’t think you will enjoy yourself. It is called a vacation. I am vaccinated and I really don’t want to spend that kind of money to stand in long lines with a mask on. It is really too bad for Orlando. But in reality you had people at the parks, weren’t vaccinated and not wearing masks. Thus the spread. It is too bad that people couldn’t make a right decision and wear a mask if they weren’t vaccinated. You have the right to get vaccinated or not. But you would think people would be responsible enough to follow the rules the theme parks had. So much for the honor system.

      3. Mike

Bruce I cannot have fun while masking up, its not that easy. What’s not a big deal for you makes the parks inaccessible for people with hearing or anxiety issues.

    2. Amanda

Same here. Had a 4 day trip planned for December we will be cancelling tomorrow morning. Absolutely absurd. Children 2 and up masking, not for us!

      1. Christian

I have a Disneyland trip planned for the beginning of October, and this isn’t lifted by mid-September, I’ll be canceling. I will vote with my wallet!

    3. Frostysnowman

Cool, there will now be more room in the parks when I and my family go (with our masks).

      1. Mercy

I was thinking the same thing!

        1. C H

Until Disney scales back. Goodbye fireworks, forget trams, shows (little mermaid, indiana jones, fantasmic, finding nemo, monsters inc)

          1. J.

Yes, and Disney can’t afford to only be open for Frosty and his friends.

    4. Greg

The incentive to get vaccinated is to not get sick or die, or get others sick or killed. That’s not incentive enough?

I wish I could speak with my wallet by suing people with your attitude.

      1. Matt

I went the first week of July and will be headed back NYE for a week. While I’ll wear a mask, I’m not happy about it. I got vaccinated because the CDC and government said we will be able to unmask and live a normal life. Why are people taking a vaccine not approved by the FDA that is using unknown mRNA technology if they are going to treat us like we didn’t get vaccinated. Either we are vaccinated or not.

I don’t like the fact that they are using us to pressure other people to get vaccinated. That’s a personal choice.

      2. Nick

Bug you have a 99.9% chance of surviving without the vaccine.

        So let’s stop the deflecting.

        1. Sue

          You are correct!

      3. Tony

        Greg, you said it perfectly.

      4. Bruce

THEY want masks on the vaccinated. If the vaccines work, why wear a mask right. Wear a mask for the rest of your sorry life then

      5. Sue

It’s my body my choice no mask no vaccine. The covid19 vaccine is experimental at best. We need to sue the government for all this stupidity over a virus that has a 97% recovery rate.

        1. What a moronic way of thinking. Idiot.

      6. mike

That is not incentive enough. I want to breathe free and assume some level of risk as an expression of that freedom.

    5. Chris

My god man, you are an idiot. Like honestly, what did your parents do to you? You people should be ashamed of yourselves. Just a wear a damn mask and protect the people around you.

      1. CH

Ask yourself – Why should vaccinated people wear a mask? We are the ones protected. It is because the non vaccinated people won’t wear theirs.

It isn’t the governments job to keep us safe, but to protect our freedoms.

        1. Sue

Ask yourself why they want you to wear a mask? What good is the mask doing without other protective gear? Don’t you get it? The mask is an excerise in control and to create division among the people. We need to stand together against the new tyrant government.

        2. Bren

Because they are catching the new variant too. And how the heck do you propose the government protect you from a germ??? They sure as heck didn’t do anything when it first started to help the situation, but if you know how they can “protect” us, please inform the rest of us. Oh, and the vaccine wasn’t made for the delta variant, and it was not a 100% preventative rate.

      2. Sue

Masks do not work and never did. Medical professionals wear them to protect themselves not you nor me. Stop listening to the msm and the government.

      3. What a moronic way of thinking. Idiot.

        1. J. Miller

Is that your ONLY response? Almost 40% of vaccinated people at our local hospital tested positive for Covid. You definitely are Wack.

      4. Chrissy

Chris if me getting vaccinated will be protecting people like you . . . . . nahh, I’m not gonna risk my life to save yours! If that’s selfish, then I’m selfish! The vaccine is NOT FDA approved and the manufacturers are currently under protection by the federal government where they can not be sued if issues arise . . . no thanks! Keep getting your medical advice from politicians and the media!

    6. Chris

I totally agree…everyone should cancel their trips…that way the lines are shorter for us normal people who have no issues with such a trivial thing as wearing a mask!

      1. Sue

Wearing a mask is not trivial. Prolong use of a mask leads to other health issues especially dental problems and bacterial pneumonia. You are putting yourself at risk wearing a mask.

        1. Tad

So, according to Sue, surgeons and surgical suite nurses, dentists and dental hygienists, line workers in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, etc., etc. are all at high risk from prolonged mask wearing. Those with the highest risk of getting bacteria pneumonia are 65 or older, have other conditions like asthma, diabetes, or heart disease, are recovering from surgery, don’t eat right or get enough vitamins and minerals, have another condition that weakens your body’s defenses, smoke or drink too much alcohol. Masks … not so much. So the choice is getting cavities and bacteria pneumonia or possibly contracting Covid 19 or one of it’s variants? Lets have a drink and light up a smoke while we ponder our choices 🙂

          1. Anthony

I’m Vaccinated and I still wear a mask inside stores and inside houses when I’m on a trouble call. Don’t outright dismiss that masks can make you sick. I had a throat infection over a month ago and I’m still suffering from it. My doctor thinks it from a dirty mask
I have no plans on going to Disney any time soon

          2. Tad

Thank you for getting vaccinated. But do you really feel that if you weren’t wearing a mask you wouldn’t have been on the wrong end of a throat infection? There’s a lot of ways to contract a throat infection. Wonder what Doc would have diagnosed the cause of the infection if masks weren’t in play. As EMT’s we change and discard disposables and wash cloth masks daily. My point was more directed at Sue’s assertation “Prolong use of a mask leads to other health issues especially dental problems and bacterial pneumonia”. (we love reading Sue’s posts) By that standard it’s a good thing you didn’t lose any teeth or contract pneumonia, 🙂 Anyway, we hope you feel better, we’ll say hi to Mickey for you next time we’re at the Parks.

      2. Mike

Chris, I have a hard time hearing. I use lip reading to help. Masks create anxiety as a result. I went a year avoiding anyone wearing a mask because it freaks me the hell out. While it might be a trivial thing for you, for some of us it’s a HUGE thing.

    7. Jennifer

I agree with you. I already moved my trip once so that I would not have to wear a mask. I got vaccinated. I did my part. I should not have to wear a mask. I’m done with Disney as well.

  2. KevinY

I’m totally fine with this. It’s indoor only! I wore a mask on Space Mountain earlier this month (even though I technically didn’t have to) and IT DID NOT DIMINISH the EXPERIENCE at ALL.

  3. Keef Garga

This makes no sense. Good to know the CDC is admitting the vaccine doesn’t work. Apparently, a magical mask that is physically incapable of stopping a virus from passing through it (unless it’s an n95 or pm2.5 rated) is in reality the key magical ingredient that makes a vaccine work now.

Apparently, they don’t want vaccinated people spreading it to unvaccinated people even though unvaccinated people are masked and masks work so well. Wait, I think they don’t want unvaccinated people, who are masked, spreading it to vaccinated people because masks and vaccines work so well. Wait a minute… no wait, they don’t want vaccinated people spreading it to vaccinated people, who aren’t being hospitalized, because vaccines work so well! yeah, that’s it… wait… I know! They don’t want unvaccinated people spreading it to unvaccinated people because they’re already masked and masks work so well! Now I see cdc! Thank goodness for these “experts”!

Seriously considering cancelling my week long trip to Grand Californian now. I’ll go to Lake Tahoe or Yosemite or Carmel or Mendocino. My nurse gf who deals with this daily will not be going on a vacation where she has to be masked up like at work. What’s the point of getting the vaccine? Seriously??

    1. Frostysnowman

The point is, as it always has been, to prevent serious illness and death. The vax rate in the US is too low and the Delta variant is spreading like wildfire through the unvaxxed population.

      1. Matt

Spreading like wildfire? The number of 7 day average deaths from covid is around 300 and most have underlying conditions. To put it in perspective, nearly 8,000 people die a day from things not related to covid.

Furthermore, the Spanish Flu was killing nearly 1000% more people a day than Covid is right now.

While I’m all for masking, lets put things in perspective.

        1. Nick

Look at how these panic people act over s virus with a 99.98% survival rate.
Imagine if something really bad happened.

      2. CH

The point I want to make is that the vaccine is freely available.
It is people who have chosen to not get vaccinated that are overwhelmingly getting sick. They have made their choice, they are often the same ones who will break the rules and not wear a mask anyway. Why change? Why not use this as an incentive to get vaccinated?

        1. Sue

Actually that is false. We are up to 6,000 deaths from the vaccine. All current hospitalizations are from the vaccine. The Delta variant showed with the vaccines.

      3. bruce

        survival rate is 99.5%

      4. Sue

You do realize ALL new hospitalizations are from vaccinated people. The Delts variant did not appear until vaccinations began. The previous comment is spot on, the mask never protected anyone from any known virus.

    2. Greg

You really think that people who are too stubburn/selfish to get the vaccine are being honest about wearing a mask.

Stop being a fool……unvaccinated clowns are the reason the virus isn’t at bay.

    3. Chris

The vaccine does not prevent you from still spreading the disease, but it does protect you from ending up on a ventilator and then being put 6 feet under – but, that’s not really enticing is it? Why bother with the vaccine? It makes me sad that I share a country with you.

      1. Nick

        Except that’s a lie too.

Man Chris. You’re just an idiot. Eh?

First. You can still end up on a ventillator and have had the vaccine. It’s happened. So your saying is false.
Are your chances small. Yes. And it’s still small without the covid unless your advanced age or have a serious medical condition.

Vaccinate the at risk. That should have always been the goal.
So stop trying to be some badass here.
The government loves it when we are at war with one another. Riots last summer over BLM… and we are looking to have riots over vaccines.

        Wake up sheep.

        1. Veronica

Nick, you are absolutely 100% correct. Sheep. That’s all they are, and over-the-top upset that some of us actually use our brains and wonder what the heck is REALLY going on here. You’re being lied to, people.

Anybody remember when Christie Todd Whitman was head of the EPA and declared the air at Ground Zero was perfectly safe to breathe? This is still an EXPERIMENTAL treatment, but the sheep are afraid and so very, very easily controlled.

          Baaa.

      2. J. Miller

WRONG! My friend had the vaccine and just died. Almost 40% of people testing positive HAD the vaccine. You wont hear these statistics from the media. I know from hospital admissions. Keep being a sheep.

    4. Sue

Keep right. Now they finally admitted the vaccine doesn’t work and never did. Maybe perhaps these people who got the vaccine where injected with these so called delta virus that they know nothing of. Very interesting. Why do people believe and trust are government is very interesting to me. This is all about control of what you can do and what you can’t where you can go and where you can’t. And wait let’s give you money so you don’t have to work. That’s even better and let’s give you money for your kids so you can spend it at Disney. Instead of buying food for you kids to eat. And hell don’t pay your rent Bc there is help for that also. This is getting crazy and just a comedy show. Anymore. And the people sitting in the White House are the performers

  4. Tomasz

Florida will soon reach a record number of daily COVID cases, with less than half vaccinated.
Wearing a mask inside is a small price to visit a theme park during a pandemic.

  5. KenFromOC

What makes no sense (as if the CDC does…) is that you wear a mask going into a restuarant but then sit for 45 mins. to an hour eating, mouth open, chewing on food….Oh, but put back on your mask to go to the restroom!
    Just dumb!
Let people do what they want!
I wore a darn mask for over a year, got vaccinated…. but they still want to take away my freedom! For how long? Months? Another year?
People get sick and die from countless other diseases, far more combined that Covid every year. In fact according to the WHO and a couple other sources I checked out, in 2017 there were 48.9 million sepsis cases and 11 million sepsis deaths worldwide. That means it had a mortality rate of about 23%. But do we ever hear about that?
    No!
To date there has been just over 196,000,000 Covid cases with 4.2 million deaths. All a tragedy for sure… But that is about a 2% rate!

Moral of the story: Yes I think folks should get vaccinated – It’s free and even if it only helps a little it is better than not at all. But the reality is you have a much better chance of surviving Covid than you do sepsis!

  6. Bryan

If they aren’t canceling fireworks as well then this is an obvious attempt at virtue-signaling. I’ll be canceling tomorrow as well.

    1. J.

Agree Bryan, it is for appearances only.

  7. Immune

Cancelling my Disneyland and Disney World reservations tomorrow.

    1. Michele

You have trips to both Disneyland and Disney World? You must be a rich person. If I was in your family I’d ask you for a new car and maybe we could go to the Golden Corral for dinner every Sunday? Please !!! Thank you !!!

      1. Immune

Hey, if you work hard and SAVE for years, you, too, can take vacations!
Or….you can beg the government to give you free Disney trips along with your free education, free healthcare, free food, etc. since you’re apparently used to expecting others to support your entitlement complex.

  8. Jerry

The CDC is basically admitting the vaccine isn’t very effective. Vaccinated people are spreading it just as much as unvaccinated people. There is no end-game now either. This is going to go on forever. This virus is endemic. It’s like the flu in that we can get shots for it every year, but it never goes away. A new variant is always right around the corner. And then the mask mandates come out again.

  9. J Kang

    Blame the anti vaxxers.

    1. Mr

Exactly. They are the only reason these mutations are happening and spreading so well.

    2. Mike

Delta came from India. That was not an anti-vaxxer problem so much as America buying enough doses for all of its population to be vaccinated 6x over

  10. KenR

This is all political now. I’m so sick and tired of people saying to follow the science or to just mask up because it’s a pandemic. Vaccinated people have a higher chance of dying by a lightning strike. Children are at extremely low risk. The average age of a person who died of Covid is higher than the country’s overall average age of death. This means that very old people are most at risk and they, incidentally are 90% vaccinated. Masks do not work. Look at Michigan last April when they were the epicenter and had severe restrictions and masking. This is political and stupid! Vote every democrat out of office.

    1. KenR

The difference is that 1 year, 7 months and 28 days later, we know a lot more about this virus and we have statistics to draw on. The Democrats are in charge and it is Democrats calling for mask mandates on vaccinated people. They also have not investigated the Wuhan Lab and that liar and fraud, Dr. Fauchi. In fact they still embrace his every word.

  11. Jan

It’s unfortunate this happened again. But it’s not really going to change even if everyone was jabbed. It’s all about control over the people. With midterms coming up they have to start pushing the narrative again. Numbers were highest early in the year yet I don’t recall seeing it 24/7. It’s to the point of harassment now.

  12. Chris

    Nope. Not going now.

  13. Jennifer

I’m done! I already moved my trip once to avoid the mask. I got myself and my family vaccinated so I would not need to wear a mask. The vaccinated are safe (right). The unvaccinated knowingly take the risk. Those that can’t get the vaccine for medical or whatever reason – it’s on them not to go and protect themselves. This is bull and it’s gone on long enough.

    1. Ha

It’s blatantly obvious this is and has been nothing but political bullcrap SINCE THE BEGINNING. By making you mask up they’re admitting, straight to your FACE, that the vax is a hoax. The left won’t stop until America becomes China. And Disney is a puppet for the left. No doubt in my mind that shutdowns are returning soon. Time for Disney to be a victim of cancel culture.

      1. Sue

Disney is one of the puppet masters.

        1. Ha

Maybe. I think someone higher up is pulling Disney’s strings.

  14. Brittany

While reading… is this just for indoors? Like going on rides and while waiting in lines for those rides??
I guess it’s not too bad if I don’t have to walk around outside wearing a mask.. right?

  15. Dean

There is always a new Variant. Why do you think it’s called CoVid “19”? Masks don’t work. It’s microscopic! And how about all of us that already had Covid? No need for vaccine.

  16. Jane Doe

I was supposed to bring my daughter and son in 2 weeks but I don’t want to go now. It is going to be like 100 degrees out wearing masks It is ruined that way. Florida was supposed to be the free place to go to choose what was best for you, and this is crazy. The delta variant isn’t even as strong as the original and Disney knows it.

  17. Bruce Kirschbaum

I was planning a trip for next year. Not any more. This is beyond ridiculous. I am not dropping thousands of dollars on an untested science that says vaccinated can spread the virus. I also had the virus. I am immune, correct? I will find somewhere else too spend my money. Sorry but they get it in the pocket book.

  18. J.

The CDC is admitting that the vaccines aren’t prepared to handle new variants? Shocker! You know, like how we have new strains of the flu every year? It is going to be like that. Every year there will be new strains and every year, only the compromised at risk bracket and the ones who are just scared will bother to get a Covid shot. Everyone else won’t bother for such a low mortality rate, just as it is with the flu. Business as usual.

    1. Form dis fan

Delta 21, then Lambda 22, then, Hotel 23, Zulu 24 and so on and so on and your freedoms are taken away just like that, hey peeps die everyday, thats how God intended it to be and the government is not God, so keep on listening to the wrong peeps, and when they say have patience and kindness, they were the ones rolling out with shopping carts full of TP, PT AND WATER, during a crisis, peeps dont care, all for one and im for myself, at DW this week, but after this, i think we are done, peace out

    2. KenR

Actually the CDC is not admitting that the vaccines don’t work, they actually are highly effective and the people in hospitals are the unvaccinated. The majority of the deaths are still for very old people or those with other issues. The head of the CDC actually admitted: “in rare occasions, some vaccinated people infected with the delta variant after vaccination may be contagious and pass the virus to others.” This is the same as saying, “in rare occasions you may be struck by lightning in a brief rain shower” so when it’s cloudy, nobody may be outside for any reason. This is political, they want mail in voting again, and the teachers unions want to stay home and get paid.

  19. Veronica

SUE, YOU ARE SOOOO RIGHT ON THE MONEY!!!

They want to scare you so they can control you. Hard to believe it’s working so well on Americans. Europeans are revolting against the tyranny, but Americans are frightened sheep.

“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety”…..Ben Franklin was a very wise man. Americans are pampered, lazy, and soft. “Show me your papers”.

  20. Van

Obviously, Mickey is a Progressive Socialist Democrat. The cruise lines sued Florida over shot record requirements but Disney can’t sue anyone over unneeded mask requirements. Humm.

  21. jo

At least this new crisis is killing off all the right people. Unvaccinated, unamerican, slacker fools. Best we can hope for is it kills these people before MY country spends another year paying people to stay home and not work. How much more of hole do the slackers want MY country to be in. Cancelling my WDW trip too. Sucks rocks but hey let the unvaccinated go and kill each other off.

    1. William

Thats the argument everybody is trying to make, the virus IS NOT killing anybody off! So why are we all of a sudden masking up again? The CDC website shows that deaths have declined every week since an all time high back in January, go look for yourself, it’s their own data! At this rate automobile deaths will be higher per week then covid. Then all you vaccinated people will have to go start yelling and trying to shame the people driving their cars to work everyday! Good luck with that! Keep being good sheep though!

      1. jo

I know what I was harsh and wrong. I don’t anyone to die. Last week, 90% of all covid cases that died in Florida were non vaccinated people. 87% in Mississippi. It has become a national crisis not a personal choice. Do what is right for your country.

    2. jo

Ok, it seems what I previously stated was a bit harsh. I apologize to anyone offended. I am frustrated with the non vac. people and angry that no one seems to care about the United States of America. We can’t survive another yr. paying people to stay home and not work. What about only paying those of us who have continued work since this nightmare began. Paying only the vaccinated.

      1. Ha

Pay only the vaccinated? That’s anti-American.

You should try living in Cuba.

        1. jo

Its not anti American to pay the people who go to work everyday to support this country. I have friends who have not worked in a year because the gov. pays them more to sit at home than to get a job. Paying the vacc. would be an a step towards the slackers getting vacc.

          1. Ha

Your friends are slackers. Tell them get off their butts, go to work, and stop taking my tax money.

  22. Brenda

I don’t know how anyone is surprised. If you are a member of another site, you’d have known Disney increased the price of their masks yesterday. They knew they were going to do this, and they are going to make the ones there right now pay outrageous amounts because they changed their game. Okay, so mask, no mask, vaccination, no vaccination. In America we have a choice. You are not being forced to go to Disney or anywhere else for that matter. They have their rules, and like any of their others ones, we’ve always followed their rules, or didn’t go. Same here. As for vaccinations, well they are not 100%. You can still catch it. It is all your choice. Go in big crowds, or don’t. Go to the store, or don’t. Go on vacation to the most miserable place on earth, and yes, read Trip Advisor, spend thousands for a quarter of the experience, or stay home and do things as a family. It’s your choice whether to go or not. I haven’t been to Disney for my annual trip. Why, because I didn’t want to follow their protocols at this time. When will I go back? I don’t know because the Mouse has gotten very greedy, and I’m not spending thousands upon thousands to go be miserable with or without a mask. This is what FREEDOM is. You got a choice!

  23. jo

90% of the covid dead from last week were NON vaccinated fools in the state of Florida… 87% in mississippi.

  24. Veronica

Wow. Jo’s comments prove my point. Because we are unwilling to be injected with an experimental gene therapy for which the pharmaceutical industry has been given complete immunity if something goes wrong….we are un-American (hyphenated BTW, Jo), slackers and fools who deserve to die. I’m surprised she didn’t say a painful death. So over-the-top. Me? I just say hey, if you want to be vaccinated, go for it. Be happy. You’re supposed to be protected now, right? I mean, if you believe the government…because OC it never lies to its citizens?

    1. J.

Yes, maybe Jo needs to switch to decaff, there is an awful lot of hate there.

    2. C H

No, if you choose not to get the vaccine, just always wear a mask and follow hygine protocols or accept that you may get COVID with possibility of death and infect others while asymptomatic.

      1. Marissa

Do some research on the Delta virus adults and children can die from it because it is so much worse then covid. It’s as easy to catch as chicken pox and as easy as the swine flu. Because of people not getting vaccinated and that the reason we have the Delta virus.

        1. J.

Marissa, the most important thing to know is that deaths from it are not up. Covid death statistics remain flat. For instance, in my state, in May, deaths were around 7 per day, in June they averaged 2.66 and in July they were 2.7. The Delta variant is making absolutely no difference in the statistic that matters most, deaths. I would urge you to research the death statistics in your own state. These can be tracked in most states by your department of health and human services. Incidentally, it is not the fault of those who haven’t been vaccinated, as this latest strain was not something that the vaccines were prepared to cover as it has only emerged recently and was not part of the vaccine’s targeted pathogens. Because of this, the vaccinated can contract and pass it as easily as the unvaccinated. There will need to be new versions of the vaccine to handle the new strains as they come along (just as it is with the flu).

This is freaking ridiculous! We live in such a world of fear. I just hope they don’t play that ridiculous preachy message at the parks.

  26. Veronica

Jo, you’re a typical hysterical liberal.

You express EXACTLY how you really feel, but then realize it makes you sound vunhinged (which clearly you are) and wishing people you don’t even know harm …. or, in your case, death….simply because they think differently than you.

Then, of course, you offer a weak and insincere apology. Straight out of the playbook. You said what you meant. The unvaccinated should just die. Then you can have “your country”, populated by sheep, back.
    Just own it.

  27. Janie

I am a manager at universal 1st i am appalled that a site with wdw fans hate the parks and policy so much! Why go if you hate it and why come here to complain about your hate… there are people in this world dying and you simply cannot wear a mask and follow rules!? Do not go to universal either please we have enough people saying they hate we arent wdw and have no mask policy… btw that is about to change managment meeting today said HHN will have a mask policy as well for team and guests! We are also raising prices which we as managers all complained about esp when we heard wdw is not! So before you say i choose universal guess what i might wrk uni i choose wdw everyday!

    1. Ha

Oh, Janie. You’ll be out of a job soon. Universal won’t be able to pay you anymore since their customers will be doing the same as Disney customers: cancel, cancel, cancel. Hope you have a back up job lined up.

  28. Harley

Before you all go anti vaxx etc. remind yourself most guests that visit are young children whom cannot get vaccinated PERIOD! They are wdw target audience along with families not you complaining adults and THOSE FAMILIES will go because they have been perfectly fine with masks rules! People complaining need to find compassion! I mean unless you wish millions of kids sick or God forbid dead! Also RSV is on the rise (because last yr we were all masked this yr not) causing hospitalizations and illness in children as well its not just covid! These are reason we are in code red zone all hospitals are filled. Either enjoy your life and stay safe or move on because your not helping anyone whose sick & dying complaining all the time! Btw mark my words all those complaining will be in the parks complying so lets call a spade a spade have compassion or stay home!

    1. erin

oh jeez are you really back? and if you want to remind us that most guests that visit are young children, I’ll remind you that young children are basically uneffected by the virus. 99.9999% of deaths involving children were due to other underlying conditions, NOT the virus

      1. Marissa

Do some research on the Delta virus adults and children can die from it because it is so much worse then covid. It’s as easy to catch as chicken pox and as easy as the swine flu. Because of people not getting vaccinated and that the reason we have the Delta virus.

  29. Veronica

Harley, apart from the fact your diatribe is almost unintelligible, it is fraught with untruths and distortions. You need to read, Harley, and I mean read everything. But most of all, you need to step outside you sad, fear-
infested world and LIVE. Millions of kids will not get sick and die, Harley. Where do you get your information? Most children are barely affected by this virus. SMH.

    1. Marissa

I totally agree with you I think Disney should only all people that can prove we have been vaccinated and keep everyone else out. Why should we have to wear a mask because of the ones that want take the shot.

  30. Mike

We’re not wearing masks to keep the virus under control while a vaccine is made available, we crossed that line. We’re not wearing masks to prevent hospitals from being overrun… We’re wearing masks because our risk tolerance has gone to 0! This is absurd.
I’ll wait but if they expand this to outdoors I’ll be canceling my trip and I cant imagine I’ll be the only one. .

  31. Loretta

We may just cancel our Christmas trip if this mask crap continues. Hurry up get the shot, your protected, you can’t catch it again. Hurry get the shot you can ditch the mask. Their is no reason if you have been vaccinated to have to wear a mask. , that don’t keep any virus totally, away from you. They wonder why people are pissed off. I know I am. I refuse to go to Disney and have to wear a freaking mask the whole trip. NO FUNN AT ALL.

  32. Sam

Why can’t we all just make our own choices based on the information at hand? Without fear of judgement. Why are we all suddenly supposed to care about each other? Make ourselves uncomfortable to make others comfortable? I’m not vaccinated, have no intention of being vaccinated. And could frankly care less about the .5% of this county that has *maybe* died from covid. How about this? Don’t go to Disney if you scared of the virus. Go at your own risk. I’d rather die tomorrow for the freedom to make my own decisions today. I would be canceling my August trip over this BS if my kids (5 and 2) weren’t so excited for it. All you need to get a grip with the poor pitiful kids under 12 play, 100% survival rate (yes I rounded up there.. same could be said for the rest of the population). If they cancel fireworks than we won’t be going.

  33. Bryan

Can someone please explain how not having a mask on at Crystal Palace is safe but it’s not safe on Haunted Mansion? Or it is safe to breathe open outdoor air at HEA but not on 7DMT? This is why people are upset. For 18 months we’ve been given nonsensical rules to follow that are based on perception and making people feel safe but not actually accomplishing anything.

    1. J.

Amen Bryan, the whole thing has been fraught with hypocrisy from the start. People are beginning to have Covid fatigue from hearing the drum beat of “you should be afraid” every day. You can only try scaring people for so long before they realize that nothing that was imposed upon them did any good.

  34. Tad

Sue, you finally cited one of your sources of “factual” information. Thanks! But is this the same America’s Frontline Doctors, a project of the Free Speech Foundation (says so on their website), whose 501(c)(3), non-profit, charitable status is being investigated for misuse of funds? They disagree with the current administration (and maybe the previous as well since Project Warp Speed was created on Trump’s watch) which I’m ok with that, but it also appears they may be preying on good, patriotic Americans with their fundraising, which we should not be ok with. And that also calls into question the authenticity of what is propagated via their website?? Or maybe not? It’s your money.

  35. Marissa

I don’t understand people at all we finally get a shot to protect us but their people that want take it and now we have a nother delta variant is worse then covid and because people want take the shot. I feel the people that want take the shot is responsible for the delta it’s just going to keep changing and get worse as it changes. For the sake of other get the damn shot because you are the blame for the delta virus and it’s killing Everyone and when they laid on their death bed patient beg for the shot but it’s too late and everyone that doesn’t get the shot are killing everyone else. Please I beg you get the damn shot.

    1. Mel

      get off the internet kid!

  36. Marissa

I totally agree with you I think Disney should only all people that can prove we have been vaccinated and keep everyone else out. Why should we have to wear a mask because of the ones that want take the shot.

    1. Allan

I agree, the parks would be way safer if they only let people in who could prove they took a vaccine that doesn’t protect them from the current variant of the virus. You’re a genius! (sarcasm intended)
