Our entire family had annual passes to universal, but I never wanted to go bc most rides have me motion sickness. There were only a few rides I could ride( mummy ftw!). If this is effective it would 100% make me more interested in visiting universal again.
Only problem I see with this solution is they clearly do not take into account kids/adults with sensory issues. This will mean that every single ride with air blowing on the face/neck, my teen daughter (and I’m sure many others) will no longer be able able to enjoy.
I love the rides but they do make me horribly sick. I have to be careful when I ride and can only ride one or two in a day. I take Dramamine and use Seabands to try and counteract the motion sickness. I’ve joked before that it feels like the rides at Universal are trying to kill me. ?
Disney uses this technique on Mission Space at EPCOT. It definitely helps. I guess the difference here is building the air into the restraints because I don’t know how they could patent the idea of blowing air.
This would work for most people, it’s not a new idea, but it’s new for rides. Many people that have VR headsets have for years recommended blowing a fan on you to help with motion sickness and it works for many people.
I get really sick on rides with screens, It’s such a bummer because I wanted so much to enjoy the HP ride but after riding it I spent the rest of the day super motion sick and unable to enjoy anything else. I hate that they use a lot of that kind of technology, actual motion doesn’t make me as sick as the screens do. I also get really sick at WDW on Star Tours, Flights of passage and sometimes Soaring (depending where I sit).
I got a better idea please get rid of fast and furious and Fallon and give us back
BeetleJuice
Earthquake,
Kongfrontation,
Twister,
Ghostbusters,
Back to the Future,
And bring the “Secret Life of Pets” to Kidzone. We miss the classics rides and shows and they deserve to live like ET
Most simulated rides do not bother me however Harry Potter’s Forbidden Journey was awful. The only one worse was the Simpsons. Harry Potter’s Forbidden Journey is a great walk through but the ride definitely made some adjustments we all were really nauseous the whole time
Guys this new stuff is awesome cheers up Universal great experience the best park in Orlando by far this article should have included the fast and the furious too. Ride the Movies people.

I ha e a better solution, use real sets and animatronics instead of relying so much on screens.

I like the fast and the furious, but agree they should bring Beetlejuice and back to the future.

Love Universal Studios , but the rides cause motion sickness. Would be nice if this solved the problem.

Harry Potter and Simpsons rides made me the most nauseous. I absolutely refused to ride the simpsons ride again because it wasn’t worth it at all.
