My wife Jodi and I have been doing this for years at WDW. I hide lost princesses in trees, under bushes and in nooks and crannies of the rocks around the lakes/ponds at Pop Century and at the back of All Stars and around Seven Seas Lagoon. I hope they have brought some found-treasure joy to people.
There are 3 different facebook groups (at least) that hide treasures at Universal. We love to craft and spread the joy as we make our way through the parks!
Hello, I am one of the Admin for Universally Crafted. We are so happy that you were able to find one of these amazing crafts and it was able to bring a smile to your face and so many others. I found a rock at cedar point with my nickname painted on it…I was so excited and I still have it on my desk to this day…I figured since it said hello,my name is Nikki,it was meant to be mine
I have 7 yr old twins, Matthew and Gracie and they found a very pretty painted rock at WWD when they were just3 yrs old. That started an “endless” search wherever we may be. They have found may painted rock and we usually take a couple of painted rocks the twins have created to various destinations for others to find. No matter what’s we are in line ( food shopping, Taco Bell or Church I have to remind the twins to get up off the ground! So if you lost a quarter somewhere the twins have it in their bank ?
This is amazing that people think of others to bring them a little happiness & we all need a little happiness coming out of the awful Covid-19 pandemic & this is a really really neat idea & the next time I go to WDW which I do 1-2 times a year I’m going to bring several items & hide them. What a fun & cool ? thing to do. Wish I had thought of this the many times I’ve been to WDW. Thanks for such a wonderful idea.
There are multiple groups for each orlando theme park that does this. The universal groups are the most active that I’ve noticed. The hiding things has been around for a long while that I know of at least at universal.
