I’m having trouble picturing what a Marvel/DC crossover would even LOOK LIKE, aside from that “Amalgam Universe” crossover we had in the print comics several years ago.

I agree….
In fact on DIsney+ they have a great documentary about Marvel (I think it was a 75th Anniversary doc), that highlights the main differences between Marvel and DC. And that is primarily the Marvel heroes do not hide who they are – it just so happens being Avengers are their “day jobs” (and they often comically refer to that) – like the fun credits scene when they are all eating shawarma at the end of Avengers. As stated in the documentary Marvel characters are more about their real personalities and lives and how they deal with being “superhero” – they’d are real people first. Whereas with DC it is just the opposite having their “secret identities” (at least with Batman and Superman).
So I just think the whole thing would not fit well together at all because of that, but also that Marvel is just more fun with a lot of comic overtones that to me DC just does not have. But to be honest I don’t go out of my way to see a DC film.
