I have fond memories of Bugs Land, especially when my daughter was young. It was a wonderful and whimsical area that provided a really nice spot for families with young kids. I know some criticized it for it’s simplistic rides, but in reality that is exactly what some of the Fantasyland rides have always been – And to me it was sort of the Fantasyland of California Adventure.

I wish they would have at least taken the Heimlich ride and found a spot for it somewhere over by Grizzly Rapids or Pixar Pier. I thought it would have been great if they turned into a “dark ride” where it started outside (as it always was) and then went into a show building where they could have used the figures from “It’s Tough to Be A Bug” show and create sort of the same story as you ride through it.

    A think that was a wasted opportunity…..

Once again, this site features factual errors in an article.
    “…which was themed to Pixar’s first film, A Bug’s Life (1998)”
Pixar’s first feature film was an apparently little known film called “Toy Story” in 1995. Please do some minimal research into your film facts.

I also wanted to comment that Hong Kong Disneyland already has a Marvel land. Although much smaller. California was not Marvels first park.

They’re Christmas lights, but not even the same type of lights. The ones in Bugs Lands were the multicolored fat bulb lights.

    So this is a stretch.
