As Orange County has now moved into the less restrictive yellow tier, there has been a lot of movement throughout Disneyland Resort. With more of the Resort beginning to reopen, it seems as though Disneyland will be back to more normal operations in no time.
The Disneyland Resort recently announced the reopening of the Disneyland Hotel on July 2. But in the meantime, there’s been another sweet announcement.
Coming very soon is the reopening of Sprinkles Cupcakes. This crowd-pleasing, fan-favorite dessert location is in the heart of the Downtown Disney District. Since Downtown Disney reopened Sprinkles has opened and closed as the pandemic continued to take its toll.
Now, however, we have an official reopening date for this cupcake location and we have our fingers crossed that it will remain open this time around!
Sprinkles Cupcakes will reopen at the Downtown Disney District on May 24. The bakery currently features a range of delectable cupcakes and cookies. They even offer gluten-free and vegan options of some of their treats. Sprinkles usually will offer a limited time cupcake, and with Memorial Day right around the corner, we can expect something festive and patriotic.
It is currently unknown how this location will operate under new health and safety mandates. The location is quite small and could definitely benefit from the mobile order system. Unfortunately, we’ve seen that mobile ordering has lead to long waits for food around the Disneyland Resort.
