Disney needs to bring back new annual passes for new Florida residents.

Yes, of course they do, it seems that it’s only Disney who doesn’t realize it.
The fact the Disney has obviously and intentionally ignored the outcry to restore the sale of new (resident and nonresident) annual passes indicates the high lack of regard Disney has for all the people who want to purchase those products. That’s a lot of people and a lot of money looking for (one or more) alternative vacation/leisure/entertainment option(s). Fortunately (or not), Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure/Volcano Bay and Sea World/Aquatica theme parks are there to fill the void that Disney created and continues to willfully embrace. Annual passes (at a number of different price points/levels of service) are available at the mentioned non-Disney facilities and are a better value than the Disney AP if it were available.
The bonus for the people is obvious and there’s also a not so hidden bonus for those other parks in now they really no longer have to advertise quite as much. Let’s face it, Disney is essentially doing it for them! Disney is not only pushing people away but they’re inviting/pushing them to explore the competition. Sorry, but the faltering of Disney service along with their disrespectful, exclusionary practices, have resulted in the erosion of Disney magic, and that’s just not a good business plan.

I couldn’t agree more. We moved here the end of January of last year and were waiting to purchase passes and a Tables in Wonderland card when everything shut down. I just don’t see the logic behind Disney’s decision not to resume annual pass sales but we did purchase a Universal Studios pass. Hopefully one day Disney will relent and resume sales.
