The partnership between Disney and COACH is not a new one, but now they’re stepping-up their game with a Keith Haring collaboration. This collaboration is classic-meets-high-fashion and style-meets-street-culture, and it’s definitely a quirky splurge, but don’t worry because there’s a payment plan option!
Keith Haring
Keith Haring is an artist that is known for his graffiti-inspired art style. So, what can you expect out of this COACH collection?  COACH calls it, “A special-edition collaboration featuring artist Keith Haring’s subversively playful illustrations of Disney’s iconic Mickey Mouse. Artist Keith Haring (1958-1990) was inspired by the art of Walt Disney from an early age, learning to draw Disney’s Mickey Mouse from a Disney “how-to-draw” book he found at his grandmother’s house. Well into his teenage years Haring wanted to be a cartoonist, thinking he could work for Disney, though he ultimately went on to study fine art. Eventually, Haring’s passion for both cartooning and the visual arts combined in what became his unique and widely recognized style. Mickey Mouse is a recurring figure in Haring’s art, when asked why, he said Mickey is “ultimately a symbol of America more than anything else.”
It looks like Mickey is getting an edgier look, and we’re getting a stylish 44-item collection. It’s a hit because the bag above is already sold out at $295, and the collection only launched recently on the day after Christmas!
