Credit: DisneyRaise the WOOF! We’ve been anticipating this delicate dress since the debut of the Reining Cats and Dogs Collection announced on the Disney Parks Blog. The Disney Dogs Dress from shopDisney is finally available for purrrrrchase. While we can’t yet see the matching kerchief, face mask, or collared shirt, we’re ecstatic to see the updates in a new silhouette for the Dapper Dress collection.
The New Disney Dogs Dress
Created especially for Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, this Disney Dogs Dress has a few new tricks about it. The dress has a V-neck trimmed with lace and retro-patterned cap sleeves cut alongside the bodice in vintage style. The skirt is also trimmed with the same lace, but we’re finding it hard to believe the skirt has pintucks as the website describes.
The Reigning Cats & Dogs dress is a formal part of the Disney Parks Dress Shop Collection, but this one has a lot of spandex in the fabric makeup. Typical stretch jeans have 2-3% spandex, while this dress sports a whopping 5%. Reviews already tell us this specific dress is uber soft and very stretchy, allowing them to size down.
From shopDisney’s website, we get a formal description (though we’re still not too sure about those pintucks):
Tails will wag over this chic, classic-silhouette dress covered in a fetching array of Disney dogs characters. The colorful stylized art against the black fabric makes for a doggone delightful dress, which also features a v-neck, lace trim and a wide sash.
The back sash has an embroidered blue paw print matching those peppered throughout the fabric pattern. Included are Fab Five accessories like Mickey’s shoe, Minnie’s Bow, dog toys, Mickey Mouse ear hats, and Disney dog toys.
