It doesn’t look that bad compared to pre-covid. I feel perfectly safe at the parks and will go to see the Christmas decorations. I still long for the live shows and fireworks though.
We spent the day at Epcot for Thanksgiving this year and it was perfectly lovely. It wasn’t crowded and the wait times for rides were all under an hour.
Our family went back in July, and we also enjoyed wait times well under an hour, which allowed us to see and do so much more. Now is even better since the weather is cooler.
We were there yesterday, too. Frozen posted a 130 wait. Test Track was 105. Now, our actual TT wait was about 45 minutes, so the posted time was way off. But the spaced out lines were very long. I can’t say everything was under an hour, but the park wasn’t too busy. It was enjoyable.
Was at magic kingdom on Wednesday, stupid on my part didn’t stay long, too many people, no social distancing enforced in lines over an hour and a half, had to walk miles from the parking lot. I want the funds from what they charge to park. Totally ridiculous.
We took our kids and grandkids ( 11 total) just last week. Wait times for more popular rides stated 50-60 minutes, didn’t wait that long. They didn’t stop rides for no masks on, if grandkids slipped up, castmembers politely reminded (the 13 year old) the Princess to please move your mask up over your nose. We say no confrontations, no one getting thrown out. Of course not, it’s Disney. We had reservations made 1 year ago, we had a blast!! Now we can’t wait for the Disney Cruise ships to start sailing again!! If you’re not a Disney family you just don’t get it and you will not stay home and live in fear!!
No thanks!! Infection rates are at an all-time high & daily deaths are spiking again… I don’t get how anyone rationalizes going to a theme park during a pandemic; no matter how you cut it, it’s just irresponsible. I feel badly for the cast memebers, obviously they have to make ends meet, too, but the risk is simply not worth the reward. Hope everyone stays safe & healthy, but if visitors do find themselves testing positive then you won’t find me feeling sorry for them. You sleep in the bed that you make. Happy holidays!
His comment is absolutely correct. I was a cast member until very recently. The emotional labor we had to perform is exhausting. Having to tell people to follow the rules while putting ourselves at risk is exhausting. People are acting worse than every before. I will say that it is a very small percentage that makes a big deal about masks and other precautions, but those are the interactions that unfortunately sick with you. It may be the happiest place on Earth, but the realities of covid are still present.
Trust me there r cast members that have tested positive but Disney doesn’t disclose that. When you live here and know so many cast members you find out stuff. They are doing what they can to make the parks some what safe. But with Disney is about the money. They are not giving discounts on tickets and people are paying what they didn’t before and get less but then I guess if you are that crazy about Disney the. You will go

They are too careful.make people irritated.
Everybody wear mask.keep distance..even every corner have a distance sign.
Disney doing so well.
We just spent 4 days there and it was ridiculous. Waiting in hourlong lines for 3, 4, or 5 minute ride with a 6 year old not fun. TOO much money for too little experience. UNIVERSAL STUDIOD and LEGOLAND next time.
Oh boy. I can’t speak specifically to Legoland but man if you thought Disney lines are bad you are you in for a surprise when you go to Universal. Good luck with that!
The amount of people that are okay with risking lives for a vacation are wild. Your friends and family are judging you whether you like it or not and you’ve identified yourself as a selfish and reckless. Disney being open is not an indication that it’s safe to be in any type of group environment it just means they found a way to make money. Don’t risk the lives of your family and the cast members who have no choice but to work to survive.
We were there day after thanksgiving. We had a great time! I hate masks, but if you are an adult, distance yourself. If you are a pass holder, you know what to expect with wait times. I love the distancing lines, we rarely stopped moving and keep your mask up, be careful and worry about your own self! We have also been to Epcot 2x and animal kingdom. Both in the last month, all trips were amazing! If you dont know Disney is about money, then what rock have you been living under.

Be part of the solution NOT part of the problem.

Went in september and it looked nothing like that. Too crowded for me but mainstreet does usually seem more crowded than other areas.
