Disney World officials have filed a permit for general construction on Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort Carriage House.
The Carriage House area of this Disney Vacation Club Resort includes the resort’s check-in desk. It currently features a pastel color scheme with dark wood floors.
It is important to note that “general construction” permits can mean anything from minor repairs to major remodeling. Walt Disney World Resort officials have not made any official announcements regarding the work that is set to be done on the Saratoga Springs Carriage House building.
In this photo [above], you can clearly see the turn-of-the-century inspiration behind the design of the lobby’s rotunda check-in area.
The official description of Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort reads:
Inspired by historic Saratoga Springs—a late-1800s’ New York retreat famous for its spas and horse racing—this charming, Victorian-style Resort hotel is nestled between rolling golf course greens and the shimmering Lake Buena Vista. Delight in stately Studios and multi-bedroom Villas, dazzling pools and a spa. You can also explore the fun activities and exciting dining options of Disney Springs, just a boat ride away.
For those who have never stayed at this relaxing Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, Saratoga Springs is home to the popular DVC Treehouse Villas. Disney describes this unique accommodation option as:
Experience a truly unique and enchanting experience at the Treehouse Villas—elevated 10 feet off the ground! Surrounded by the woodlands along the Sassagoula River, the Treehouse Villas are an enchanting hideaway just a walk or boat ride away from the heart of Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
