This doesn’t make any sense, why would their operating costs increase next year when they are having more limited staffing?

Of course we should also be getting a hefty refund of dues from this year, since operating costs have been non-existent for most of the year.

wtf. they raise maintenance fees because they had a lousy year! they need to either make all rooms in DVC resort for members only or make more rooms available to DVC members.

It is impossible to get a reservation if you don’t make at your home resort at 11 month mark…forget it at the 7 month.

I once considered buying into the DVC timeshare since the initial buy in price was tempting, however, after calculating 40yrs of maintenance fees increasing 4% each year there was no way I was going to leave my family with that kind of commitment. I feel sorry for current owners whom are going to be hit hard with fees because DVC profits are down.

The amount of money that Disney makes on everything altogether, I don’t see why they are raising them that much! I mean come on! Are they really stretched that thin? And if they are, then they need to stop spending so much money all the time on this and that, and start focusing on what they do have right now and for the next 10 years at least.

I have long regretted buying into Vero Beach as Maintenance fees have always been 50% to 75% higher than other resorts. And now another 10% this year. It was the only resort presented to us at that time. And now we have consistent trouble booking at Disneyworld resorts with a 7 month window.
